No way man! I picked the same genres and named my game just like yours! Although it seems we have very differet takes on it, awesome!

@rombus Cool! Will check yours out for sure.
Is there any music in this game? The idea is really neat, but either I am missing something or the game is way too frustrating. I would like some better feedback when I hit/miss notes at least, some kind of flashing animation or a sound.
@blubberquark Yeah, the game contains music and sound effects in .ogg format. What LÖVE version and what OS are you on?
That said, I agree that there should be more visual feedback. Would also have liked to add more levels with a better learning curve, but ran out of time.
Ok, sound is working. Seems like somebody else's game had crashed my pulseaudio. But now it feels like the music doesn't sync with the game beats...
@blubberquark Yeah, syncing things up is still on the TODO list :-(
Freaking amazing! Excelent work, wanna check ours too??

@hkoisumi Looks like members of your team are spamming a lot… Do you even play other people’s games before linking back to your own? If so, please provide specific and constructive feedback instead of generic praise.
This game was great ! Very cool concept, and well excecuted. A bit too hard for my little brain ^^ There is a little issue when you try to fullscreen i think, but appart from that I had great fun playing your game !
Oh and I got the exact same comment from hkoisumi... This is fishy...
@olivier-millochau Thanks for playing, and thanks for reporting the fullscreen bug. I've published a new version with a fix.
The gameplay mechanics work well, and the music is awesome. The second level was a bit too hard imo. Great work.
This was looooong way to the door after I realised that I can hold button =) second level easy after first. And then BOOOM. Third level hit you in the face =) But you know man. I don't give up =)

I installed Love framework and game randomly crash, and no explain on controls... That's all doesn't matter. I like it =)) GG!
P.S. End is infinity loop or I need more patience?
@belowparallel-ian Thanks for playing! Yeah, wanted to make more levels with a smoother learning curve, but ran out of time.
@kensou Nice screenshot! :-)
Yeah, end is an infinite loop. Guess I should have made some kind of win screen.
About the crash, did you install LÖVE 11.1? What OS are you on? Can you post a stacktrace from the crash if you see one?
Hi! I tried to play your game and got this error as soon as I loaded the game. Was unable to play unfortunately

Overall I thought this was pretty good, despite the fact that the third level was super difficult and I spent like 15 minutes on it. It's a shame that you weren't able to add more levels because I thought the overall DDR-platforming concept was pretty great and I would have loved to have seen it developed more. However, what you have here is some pretty good stuff. Solid work.
@dylan-rainwater Thanks for reporting the problem. Can you check which LÖVE version you are on? The Transform class was introduced in LÖVE 11.0, but you might as well use 11.1 since that contains some bug fixes.
@spaghetti-pants Really happy to hear that you enjoyed it! Yeah, I think there might be something to explore here... To me, the main problem with this genre mashup is that it's difficult to pay attention to the hero and the arrows at the same time.
@kensou Clarified the instructions regarding holding keys after pressing them. Thanks for pointing this out.
@elemel Actually, it was my fault. Just weird security issues on mac. Got the game up and running! Interesting concept, fun little ld entry. Nice work!
@dylan-rainwater Aha! Good to hear that it worked out. Thanks for the positive feedback.
Very nice idea and great theme interpretation. Your entry is more a proof of concept than an actual game though, sadly. I would *löve* to play more than just one actual level.
I had the same problem as @dylan-rainwater, updating LÖVE fixed it. I think a lot of people are going to have outdated version of LÖVE from previous LDs. I don't know much about the framework, but I think it could be an easy fix to replace the cryptic error message with some message about outdated engine.
It would make a lot of sense to have the arrows synced to the beat since one of the genres is a rhythm game.
The last level took a while to complete and was actually quite fun! I was confused after that, since I got stuck in the first level again after finishing the third one. A simple "Thanks for playing!" text on screen takes like 2 minutes to make and makes it feel much more complete.
This is a great idea but holy shit was this game hard.
if i have time i will install love and try this game - perhaps you can build a version that does not require love to be installed?
Platformers are cool that's why I made one too
@boltkey Thanks for the feedback. I agree with all of it. The beat syncing was out of scope because my progress was very slow. But I should at least have taken some time earlier to do simple screens or message overlays for start, next level and win.
@stefenism Yeah, it ended up being a meme game. But playability could improve with a few simple changes. Thanks for playing!
@paulhocker That's a good idea, but not sure whether I will actually do it this time.
@mrwillowb Cool! I will check it out.
Really good idea! It's so frustrating to not be able to move as we like :D
@noxalus For sure! Thanks for playing.
I cannot play your game on Linux, I get this error:

@gonutz Can you check which version of LÖVE you have installed? The Transform class was added in LÖVE 11.0, but you might as well use LÖVE 11.1.
I will have to download the latest one then from their web site. I just used the one that comes with my Mint. The pre-built packages are often rather old. I will come back to this when I am back on my Linux machine...
