Good fun! Nice presentation and progression! If you get chance check out our game too https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mechasnek :)
That was really dark. I loved it!
Pretty solid game, the concept is interesting, although it felt a bit disjointed, but the story kept me playing till the end, cool stuff :).
@viktor-dedek Oh no! You're supposed to take the flower to the grave and also hit the action button to "inspect"
Hi! I liked your game! the mixture was fitting and also a bit funny, when things got very weird and you still could plant and collect. Atmosphere was nice. Reminded me a bit of the color out of space from H.P. Lovecraft.
10/10. First off, you are the first game that I played that actually has a plot. Not only that, its a good plot with foreshadowing/atmosphere-setting and world building. Second, you nicely incorporated farming mechanics with the horror elements. There were times when I couldn't figure out the interactables but having the journal linked with the house/next-night was brilliant for figuring out what to do. The few places you used audio were superb but you probably should have opted out of the "humor" and "audio" categories. My one issue is that the chicken phase in and out of the barn. Great work.
Well made game! Really enjoyed it!
This was fun and creepy. I really wish that there was more motivation to do the actual farming part rather than just to do the task as quickly as possible to continue the story. Also, at the end, I found a slight glitch where if you don't succeed the first time you can't activate the brief reveal cut scene again, so it becomes impossible. The sprites were all well made, and I enjoyed the story a lot
@legavroche Thanks for kind words. The small chicks are pretty hilariously broken, we didn't get around to fixing their clipping through the barn.
@tg1397 Oh noo! Can you expand a little about not being able to continue? You shouldn't need the "cutscene" for the monster to be present.
You still have to investigate the barn afterwards - it might still be possible, but the monster spawned in such a way that getting to the barn was much harder than anticipated.
@tg1397 Ooh that part, gotcha. Thanks for the feedback, will make a note :)
Gripping story that kept me playing. I thought the tasks while being chased were a bit frustrating and also broke the tension, but I still enjoyed it. Well done!
I enjoyed playing this quite a bit. I loved the story and the progression was great. Good job!
This is fantastic!! Love the writing and presentation, completing the tasks was quite satisfying too. I really liked the design of the monster too! Though I found the chase sequence while doing tasks to be a bit more frustrating than tense.
Well done. Great writing, I very much found myself anticipating the next days worth of diary entries, and the game play was pretty decent as well, especially when the monster came out. Very well done given the time period.
There was a slight issue with the camera. On the first day maria came out and i had to work around her, the camera kept focusing on her and not me. Also one of the manure didn't to clean itself at one point for the first few tries. Other than that Very well done guys!
Interesting! Appreciated the story and got eaten first time round. Definitely like the idea of a farming/horror game albeit more task driven initially, I could see this evolving into a more open world type game.
