Great job with this! I loved the mechanics. I wish I could hit q to draw more than just one at a time. I think that would speed up the game and let me pick and choose which cards I want to keep a hold of like the key.

Love the game, my aim sucks but I still really enjoyed it. The artwork was great and the background music was great. I'll definitely keep this in my library and play it when I get bored next
Great art and it plays very well. Interesting mechanic.
Great game ! Really enjoye it, I love the "time management" needed to hit enemies. Hope it gets updated further !

Awesome game! A great idea well executed. Also i really liked the artstyle. Good job!
Any game that lets me play as Gambit is a win in my book. Really though, solid entry, and great interpretation of the theme. Very fun to play, which is a big win. The challenge also felt good: enough to be difficult and make me want to get better. I wish there was a little more UI interactivity on the between level scene, didn't realize that it was a multi-choice until quite a few rounds in. Also, it was frustrating to be stuck with a bunch of shields and not be able to q, and that keys were random as opposed to matched in number and color with chests present in the level. Overall, really well done! :v:

So nice game with so nice idea. Good job!
The art is beautiful and I love the idea, I just wish I didn't have to throw the key to get more cards.
Interesting idea. Pretty addictive game and cool Arts and Audio (Not enough :P But ok :-) ) But I have some comments. - It would be nice if the cards with life also fell out of the opponents. (maybe they fall out but I did not hit them?) - Maybe when you draw cards using 'Q' there should be more cards? - I was constantly losing key cards by opponents (do they deal damage?) - Maybe it's worth improving so that the characters do not enter the lower part of the beast?

I liked this game! The art is good and the combat is fun. The sounds were great but the music did get repetitive very fast.
I think you should keep working on it, but you should somehow rework the drawing cards mechanic because for now it really kills the pacing.

I really enjoyed the gameplay and thought the animation was really well done. I think you have a good combination of the genres, but I wish there was a stronger focus on the card element. This feels less like playing an action card game and more like an action game with a roundabout way of attacking. I'm also in the boat that you should be able to hold down 'Q' to keep drawing more cards. Finally, I think the cards themselves take up too much screen real estate, constantly hiding enemies from view.
I disagree with lolfrad above in that, while drawing cards does slows the game down, concepts like hand advantage and draw phases are important in card games and are a fitting inclusion in a game like this.
If you do continue this game, may I suggest adding a deck-building element to it? Before each round, you can build a deck based on different effects (start with more keys, focus on AoE cards), so you start with a set of known cards to play with. And then with each new card you pick up you can add it to your deck for future runs?
Wow really great game! I think you did a really good job at combining two genres. I feel like the cards were different enough that it felt like I needed to make smart choices with how I used the cards without the game being too complex. I feel like the difficulty was perfect, it was tough but not too difficult that I wanted to stop playing. Every time I lost, I wanted to play again because I felt like I was sooo close to beating the level. Graphics and audio were also very nice! Congratulations on making a game in 48 hours!
This game was really rad.

This game is super smooth. It reminds me a lot of nuclear throne and the art is fantastic. I was worried at first that the scrolling mechanic would be useless and instead I should just spam cards, but as I went on I found it helpful to actually plan out my moves. Nice job, one of my favorites so far.
