Oh noo it's the flat earthers...

The idea is cool, the graphics are nice too. The thing that bugged me were the controls. They are really weird, and it's actually hard to get to the stuff that you need to collect even on before the first one.

Damn your game is so beautiful ! The music is also pretty good ! it remind me Tron

However the game is very hard because files are not big enough and the bird is hard to correctly handle. Imo the voice is not very useful and break the cyberpunk ambiance.

I'm really interested to know how did you do make this style (did you make a shader ?)

delayed-conclusions 2017-12-06 18:34

@azathothep basically shitloads of bloom and some emissive materials :D

@sunnray soon we`ll publish post-jam version with some changes in steering so it is a little bit easier, but still we want the game to be challanging. (don't forget about "brake". you can activate it when you are close to the flie. its crucial for later stages of game when youre superfast)

cyberpunks 2017-12-06 21:00

The graphics are nice. The controls are kinda weird. The intro is nice.

Cheers. (Morco)

The flight controls feel floaty and un-plane-like

blizary 2017-12-06 21:12

The game is very beautiful and the music is very catchy however I did feel that the controls were very hard and the hitboxes sometimes felt a bit unfair

samboyer276 2017-12-06 21:23

Man, this looks amazing! Very good quality graphics and environment. Hate to say it again, but the controls felt a little off, but it's easy to see that with a bit of improvement to them it'd be perfect :D

thirrash 2017-12-06 21:24

Never have I seen so climatic LD game. The story is hilarious and graphics simple, yet beautiful. Great job, half-rounders!

assoonasimpossible 2017-12-06 21:33

@sunnray @azathothep @cyberpunks @blubberquark @blizary @samboyer276 @thirrash Thank you all for your feedback! We tried with controls to imitate the behaviour of airplane, which is: Cybird's yaw angular speed depends only on its roll angle (not on how long you keep A or D key pressed). In other words, by pressing A or D you only change the roll angle, not the yaw angle. However, probably everyone would expect more arcade controls from our game, which could be a source of problem. Cheers!

Game is fun but controls are not really intuitive. They're not typical arcade one neither there is any drag or wind, so they feel to floaty. It would be probably better if plane would go back to it's original angle.

Sorry, can't let a quality review, don't have enough time, just want to help to get out of danger zone. Overall i think game is good, keep going. Happy Holidays.

explorer 2017-12-28 14:16

Good looking game, nice effects and post processing. I don't quite understand what to do but it is fun to fly around.

delayed-conclusions 2017-12-28 14:23

@explorer Thanks for review! you have to collect files (marked with glowing blue pointer) prove that the earth is halfround :D

vasco-rodrigues 2017-12-28 19:16

I just love the visuals, they are simply stunning. The audio is also very good.

Like others have said, the controls are a bit weird, but I see you already answered about that problem and I understand your point of view. I just wish I could do a back or front flip, but it only goes up or down 90 degrees.

I also found it a bit hard to understand if I was going to catch the files, sometimes I thought I was going to catch it but didn't, but maybe it's just lack of skill. Also, losing with 1 touch is a but frustrating, but if you're aiming for a challenging game then that's ok :)

Overall I enjoyed your game, and I hope to see future improvements. Congratulations!
