Pretty well polished for what it is. Lots of nice animations and pretty good graphics. Could have used a tutorial though

Surprising amount of depth for a game jam game! Also I was groovin' to the music
Well built system.
There's so much going on, that it's pretty confusing for me. I had to do a lot of trial and error to figure out the following:
* Between days buildings generate money and trash. * To build something: click the wrench, click a tile, choose a building. You start with 1 dump to build and can buy more stuff later. * To set a route for a truck: click the R, click on a truck, click on a building, click on a dump * Each truck will deliver trash for 1 building per day. * Buying additional trucks is probably a high priority. * There are trash can icons with numbers to indicate how much trash has accumulated at a building
As feedback: I think that some of the interface flows could be simpler. For example, I could be allowed to highlight k buildings whose trash will be taken to the dump where k is the number of trucks that I have. I could also drag buildings onto tiles.
(Also: the picture of a dog shows up as the 'main' image for the game, which is misleading)
To be honest, I came for the dog. But the game actually turned out to be really good! Was a fun strategy while it lasted, the 20 turn limit didn't give a huge amount of time to experience the whole thing though. In the end I only ended up with 3 trucks. The presentation was overall really good, and it was fun to play. Great job!
Thanks @almost, we're going to borrow those bullet points for the game description :) (and make a stealth update tonight to include a quick overview at the start of the game) We ran out of time to get the tutorials built because we had a breaking bug on the web build to troubleshoot right before the submission hour :(
Thanks everyone for playing!
I came here for the dpg, also the game is pretty good too! i love the art style you went with
Great game, good job!! I have saved it here to play later :metal:
For an ecological themed city builder, it is incredibly simple (in the good way) With that easy to get system comes nice polish, that makes for a really pleasant game
I really loved the screen transitions!
This is the first game this jam that I got genuinely immersed in. A surprising amount of content too! My main criticism is that the UX design was clumsy to use. Many things took more clicks to do than they needed to. I'm not sure if it was possible to keep your garbage levels low, as it seemed even the most expensive upgrades only reduced the amount in my landfills by a trivial amount. But I played it until the end, and had a great time exploring the game. Thank you, nice job!
There's a lot going on, but it seems like a really cool game with a lot of work put into it
Your game Litter Burg is a really cool idea and really puts the theme of “The more you have, the worse it is”, into a really cool game.
All the animations and transitions were really cool as well
I think you could have explained how the overall mechanic worked a bit better. Because it took me a bit longer to understand.
Overall this was a really nice game and you should be proud of what you achieved. :)
Looked great and the music was cool. A little confusing at first, but obviously had a lot of depth to it.
This is really polished. I do think you could have simplified the interface to just "click a tile to build" and "click a truck to set a route" without having separate modes for each, and made it easier to see what would happen on the next turn without having to mouse over each building to see production.
Was there any point in choosing where to build stuff? Might be interesting to add effects where people e.g. don't want to live next to industrial plants or dumps to add another layer of complexity to planning.
About two thirds of the way through I think I clicked on something during the turn animation and it froze with the error "GwtApplication: exception: Cannot deposit trash af"
I was actually surprised to find myself enjoying a game about collecting garbage! There is a lot of depth in this game that isn't apparent at first, but I really liked it once I got into it. I especially liked the music! Nice work!
This game is amazing! The different modes for building and selecting a route could be combined into a single interface though. Additionally I didn't quite understand that I had to upgrade my trucks in order to make use of the upgrades I purchased in the beginning.
Sadly my game froze after a while, however it was fun while it lasted!
Good game, nicely presented, looks polished. It didn't have me on edge like some other strategy games though, because you don't lose so easily even when your strategy sucks.
