The game fits well with the theme. Your font style is cool too. I say well done with this game!

The exe doesn't seem to be working for me? It's just not opening
Same for me, it doesn't work. Please, mention me when you fix the exe. Or tell us what to do.
I forgot two of the folders in the zip file, so sorry, try it again.
I had the same problem with the exe. Running Windows 7
I just uploaded the new zip file with the missing folders 18 minutes ago.
i feel like there could be more in the level. my first try I didn't find a planet. in my second try (restart) I made out a planet and shot it mindlessly. when it finally released the ore I struggled to grab it and flew circles around it (facepalm me - i suck) :D
That was great! The only thing I found strange was that there was a weird clicking sound every once in a while, and I'm not sure what that was. It may have been the sound that happens when an asteroid creates a piece of ore? Awesome asteroids, by the way! I love that they're 3D!
It is when a missile hits an Asteroid or it is when a chunk breaks off, can happen off screen, or something I forget. Thank you! I did all the art in Magica Voxel. Jenni (My SO) Loves the asteroids too. ^.^
Well, of course, there could be more FSKR, I scaled to what I thought I could do in a few days. The Radar (The white dots around the ship) point you to Asteroids. LOL Yeah, I did not want to make it easy. I actually had many more plans, but you know, time and bugs. Thank you for the comment.
Nice work! I like how controls and shipmovement feel. I can imagine that a 2 player versus mode with serious space battles would fit fantastic...
Oh yeah, post-jam. I have plans, and co-op/vs is one of them. Fight for resources, and against the pirates. I'm glad you like it, and thanks! I have plans to make the camera less static too.
Quite enjoyed the combat, navigation was difficult though as I found it difficult to see the difference between the stars and the map.
You mean the radar? Yeah, I have an idea on how to fix that, I just ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Fun little game!
Gaining momentum with the spaceship was really cool, I enjoy the feeling of speed, although stopping wasn't easy after that. The minimap was a really cool feature. Perhaps the difficulty should be tweaked a bit as it took me standing still and many enemy missiles to take my ship out.
Good advise Shodanon, thank you. You can always bounce off something to stop. ^.^ Remember, the more chests you get, the more pirates there will be. Also, the more ore you get, the more the pirates come after you. That is to fit with the theme.
I Just tried to run the game, but for me the .exe still doesn't seem to work.
Did you install the .NET runtime? If not you can get it here. https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net47 If you have a Windows version older than Windows 7 that is not updated you will need it.
Controlling the ship is difficult but similar to the "Asteroid" genre. Music sounds a little boring to me, maybe relaxing for other. Explosions would be a nice addition. Radar very useful but hard to see and it take me a little time to figure out there is a radar. Laser seems useless compared to the power of missiles. Could be fun if you like "Asteroid" games like controll.
The game didn't explain it's mechanics very well. You steer with left and right, not L and R. The dots near the center of the ship indicate the direction toward an object (but not the distance). If you go too far in a direction the world loops, which looks like all of the dots rearranging. Red is enemy, gray is base, asteroids are white. If you shoot an asteroid around 20 times a tiny piece of ore appears. Enemies drop chests that contain missiles.
I found it really hard to pick up the ore and the chests. I also initially only shot the asteroid around 10 times and nothing happened so I was confused.
I recommend making ore drop sooner, and making ore and chests float toward the player when you are near them. Additionally to make movement more visible, you could make the camera slightly slower when it follows the player, or you could add something like an engine trail. You could also move the object indicators to the edge of the screens instead of the center.
L and R are for left and right. LOL Sorry I did not explain it better. Of course not, does Skyrim tell you how far away things are? That is part of the fun. Yeah, I did not get time to make it seem like a seemless loop. Well, how many times you need to shot a rock is random for each rock, from 5 to 20 before ore drops. That is how hard it is to get out of one rock. Yeah, the camera movement was in the plans, but I ran out of time.
I want to pan your game after you were so harsh when it came to mine, but I won't. :P Its pretty fun I'll be it a little sparse, the enemies really don't seem like much of a threat tho. Nice job with the theme, and as for music I think we both need to work on our skills lol. I rated it well.
The music was made by an AI, so you know, I wish they separated music and sound in the ratings. Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, just wait until you pick up a few chests. Remember the theme, the more you get the worse it gets. Also the more ore you carry, the more the pirate comes after you. I wanted to so much more, but I ran out of time, and some life got in the way.
Nice game, although the mining was really unclear. You have to either tell the player how to mine somewhere or give them feedback when you shoot the rock, how else are you supposed to know if you're doing the right thing?
Well done! I liked the lava lamps in the debris, I just wish I could pick them up or something. I eventually got to the point where I didn't really have time to mine at, I was too busy not dying, and then I got to the point where the enemy ships were doing more to stop themselves than me by running into each other. I like the little radar thing as well.
Yeah, I was going to do more with the lava lamps, but I ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, if you mine first, you would be able to save up ore at the base for extra ships. Then go after the pirates.
Thank you Invixel.
