Nice proof of concept of your engine ! And also GG Marjolaine for the assets and the scene, hard thing to do in only one week-end.
I hope you'll continue working with your engine and make it suitable for large levels. Good luck ;)
Nice work! To improve your engine: did you notice that you could make the camera look upside down? I guess it should be locked passed a certain rotation. Also, I was super fast while moving, I'm not sure if it was 100% intended. Still a very nice job nonetheless!

It crashes as soon as i open it :( (Win10)

Introduce binary representation of meshes. Parsing obj files at load time is not an option for large projects.
The movements were fine in my case. Do you multiply your speed on dt between frames?
Be aware of dt problems in physics simulation at the beginning of your engine development. To get stable physics you need to do some tricks with your dt. You can read more here: https://gafferongames.com/post/fix_your_timestep/
While designing my own engine, lot of inspiration I got in data-driven design. Probably best resource on it: https://blog.molecular-matters.com/
Keep going - hope to see actual game on LD40 :)
@mrsylar59: Thanks for playing it :) I decreased movement speed and constrained vertical rotation based on your feedback, thanks!
@mads @ohmaigawd @eternal: Could you tell me what message you get inside the console when it crashes? (there's a black terminal in the background, you can Alt-Tab to it) Thanks :)
@ruba: Binary representation of meshes is far from my current concerns, but of course it's part of the plans. I do use dt for movement. My physics dt is fixed with accumulator, I actually already read that article and some other articles on Molecular Matters but thanks, here's another good one: http://lolengine.net/blog/2011/12/14/understanding-motion-in-games
@catbutt: Thanks for the feedback, yes it doesn't actually capture the cursor, it moves it back on the edges of the screen, it works with a single monitor but not multiple ones, that's something I should indeed fix :)
@thygrrr: Thanks for your feedback! Interactions definitely lack feedback, that's something I regret not taking the time to add :/

Nice simple game, had issue with it not capturing the mouse.
It crashes for me too - win10. It just says Allofme.exe has stopped working - windows is checking on a solution to this problem.

Unfortunately, it crashes for me as well in Win 10. I am using the itch.io app and I get the following error.
An error occurred while launching All of Me application crashed. process exited with code 2147483651
Hope this error code is helpful

Beautiful Radio Track :)
Likes: - claustrophobic, but still feels like home - nice details, takes a while to figure out what's going on - pretty snappy engine - works for WASDies as well as for AZERTies. clever!
Try differently: - the mouse cursor is not captured, which makes it hard to play on multiple horizontally adjacent displays (when you look around, the cursor wanders onto one of the side screens, and as soon as you click, the game is minimized or unfocused) - not sure if I found all the interactions?
Overall: - good piece of coding and a better piece of music!

Cute! :) You should definitely add a crosshair, so you know precisely where you're looking at. Mouse speed is way too high for me. Hats off that you did this with your own engine! :) The room definitely feels a little claustrophobic, and I expected scary things to happen. Which was a nice feeling! The song you selected was beautiful, and to recognize the title made me smile! Also, nice interpretation of the theme! Looking forward to your next games!

Definitely impressed by what you could achieve with you own engine. The lighting and the scene is simple but efficient and I was surprised this much immersed in the kitchen. Maybe this has to do with the sound ambiance which was particularly well done. In my humble opinion a dummy window looking at a distant skyline or something like that would have added to the atmosphere without destroying too much the ambiant feeling of loneliness. The only frustrating thing would be the lack or a crosshair that would indicate with what I'm interacting and with what I could interact. This was even more frustrating since some elements would open only after the radio ran out of battery and that gives away the fact that we are only playing a game. (And also why isn't the cursor captured ? Having tested that on two screen it was slightly annoying). Otherwise excellent execution, keep working hard on your engine ! And one last thing, I know there was no animation when interacting with something but that still worked wonderfully well ( the sound + just switching to the new state of the object). :)
Well, this is obviously more a test of your own game engine than a game, so I'll judge it based on that. I don't know much about the topic, but one thing I would have liked to see is anti-aliasing. Movement feels very smooth. Would have liked a crosshair or some way to indicate exactly where I was pointing. The stereo sound works well.
Looking forward to seeing your next game!
