I got stuck on the level where you have to jump over the spikes :(

aaforcebox 2017-07-31 17:40

Looks cool! I had to reload the page to try again. How do I restart the level?

moaz-ashraf 2017-07-31 17:50

Restart the level using R-Key.

Pretty fun game!

It was fairly short but when can you expect in only a few days of work?

The biggest issue I had was that on the second level I ended up getting stuck and needed to refresh the page in order to try again, I think a good improvement would've been to add some way to restart the current level to avoid that frustration.

The spike level was fairly difficult but eventually I figured out how to solve it. I won't say here so others can figure it out but it is beatable.

The graphics and animations were very smooth and very well polished despite having so little time to work on it, so congratulations on that!

Wow, really great entry. So smooth and I really like the graphic style. Spot-on use of the theme. But, what a shame it is so short. I have so mixed feelings about this.

moaz-ashraf 2017-07-31 17:59

Thanks everyone for the positive reviews. I'm planning to update it in the future. Add sounds, more levels, etc.

Again **R-key** restarts the current level!

foreverip 2017-08-01 05:54

Really short, but the art was great. Didn't need extra batteries on any of the levels. If there were more levels, I think the extra batteries could be used to create increasingly complex puzzles.

Anyways, good job!

spice135 2017-08-01 16:44

Nice game! Third level was challenging, but it was very short and felt incomplete.

ace17 2017-08-01 17:20

Really nice entry.

Too bad there are only three levels, the idea seemed really promising ; and the first levels felt cleverly designed. And kudos for the 'R' (restart) key, I think we should make it Ludum Dare common practice to have it!

squaredev 2017-08-01 21:36

Very nice. It's short but I liked the puzzles in each level. One simple mechanic but well thought.

alaah 2017-08-01 21:36

A nice little puzzler, but it ended too soon and I starved for more.

toadietechnika 2017-08-06 08:33

Why only 3 levels!? The puzzle element for a simple platform game like that was really interesting and different from a lot of entries here lol. It was part of the life that if you push a lot, you do lose a lot of energy. But this will serve as your motivation, just in case you'll pick that game up again for something big :)

The controls of the game is not functional when you lose focus from the game (like go to the media player and play the stopped music), and some audio should be nice. And there must be a graphic that displays the controls of the game (some people might get lost. But gladly I guessed, there was indeed a gorgeous R button for a restart level). All in all, the game has potential for improvement. Just keep it up! :D (I added a screenshot, which made me shocked in the end... As I wished for more levels to come) yeah.png

Thank you for this really nice game! I really like the gameplay and how you used the theme. :0) Very well done! Haha! :0)

Nice idea but very short and collisions could be improved.

omiya-games 2017-08-22 00:37

It took me a while to figure out you can push blocks while jumping. It would have been nice to have puzzles earlier that would teach that rather than putting really long row of spikes, making the task look impossible. I think the game mechanic has potential, but with the lack of levels, the game appears a bit too simplistic and not really that fleshed out.

zachary-shah 2017-08-22 00:51

This game is AMAZING!!!!! I don't see any bugs what so ever. I really want to help you out and give you a million five-star reviews but I cant :(

joebeard 2017-08-22 02:01

I used to love playing boxxle on my Gameboy; this reminds me of it. With a few more levels and slightly tighter jump controls there's no reason you couldn't put this up on a store somewhere. I noticed that the site you've hosted this at has a low rating for the game. Don't be discouraged by that, the animation and graphics are smooth and clear, and the idea is well executed.

blueman 2017-08-22 02:27

This was pretty fun. The only major complaint I have is the extremely slow pace. The boxes are obviously too much of a pain to move, and it can become boring moving them. However, this is a really neat idea, and the graphics were nice. Overall, good job. I think this is a good idea that deserves further development

wh05herlock 2017-08-22 04:26

This is a really nice idea. There are a few improvements which could be made. Mainly:

- It would be nice to have more options for the controls e.g. up to jump, or A/D for left/right and W for jump. - The level with the spikes is really hard. - There is what I think is a glitch, which is that if you jump on a box from high up enough it falls through the ground.

Other than that I really like it, especially the graphics etc.

Well done! :)
