Nice dungeon flair, tune is engaging. Had a similar idea with the vision mechanic, you guys did really great!
Not good view for play and see hero. Low feedback on action and moving.
I kept dying from empty batteries and never came close to the golden battery, but the procedural generations rules were well laid out and the story was compelling.
Hey there, I thought the graphics were well done, and the sounds and music as well, there were some tiny issues, but the fun shone through, it was kind of hard to move during the final boss, but still well done, good job!
The best I've seen until now so far, Nice graphics, nice idea and smooth gameplay
I really like your procedural generation. The added skulls and torches were great for keeping the map fresh. From a mechanical standpoint, I felt it was a bit of a mixed bag. I really like the idea of limiting your shots to your health bar, kind of like the boost mechanics of FZero GX. However, I think it could have been tuned a little better. It never really felt worth it to fight enemies however. It took so few shots to run out of power. I ended up finishing the game with basically no combat which basically avoided the entire theme of the jam.
I did really like the intro dialogue system as well. Those sorts of touches and added detail with the art and sound were truly great.
Great GFX! The only thing i would like - is less contrast on textures. They looks too motley.
The visuals are awesome, but the game itself... is not okay for me. I ran this game in "Very Low" quality because my laptop can't handle the "Ultra" one.
There was a (removed "&" because it converts to an apostrophe) "#39;" in the prologue that probably escaped a character unnecessarily when it was parsed. The music in the level just jump back to start, that I didn't considered as looped. The enemies at the level where you should get the golden battery are completely harmless. So I just run and run and just let them shoot and shoot where ever (the shooting sound became annoying at the time when the enemies are just shooting, even if I wasn't there). And the bar didn't update properly when the level restarted (from out of power). On the boss level, the pink robot just went to bump me towards off screen, but I still can shoot wherever but always missing the target. It always keeps getting on me, without stopping so on the boss level, it's impossible if the pink robot is after you. Those are the things I saw about the game.
You guys still did a great work. Keep it up at any way :D
I absolutely loved how this game looks, I associated it heavily with Dungeon Keeper for some reason :) Some bugs not withstanding, all of you did amazing work, you could easily expand upon this and publish it outside Ludum Dare.
So, I fixed the bugs that I could fix. Now it should be much better. Thanks for your time guys!
nice and stressfull!
Great game! I enjoyed the little story and the graphics are cool. I feel like the "low vision" mode is a bit too low vision, especially since the monsters can spot you from further than that and they follow you around.
Well done everyone, a good rating that is well deserved.
Positive: * Nice idea and map generation. * The game fits pretty well in the jam theme. * I liked the main song theme.
Negative: * The game doesn't seems to have a goal, I have spent a lot of time running around those mazes and I found no golden battery (or whatever it is) at all. * The sound of the enemy shots becomes annoying as soon as you find a few of them.
It is a great entry though, I liked the idea. Good work!
@aleal-dev Thanks for your time! But, there is indeed the golden battery. There's a text on the left bottom of the screen showing how far it is. To be straight forward its exactly in the opposite corner of the dungeon!
Pretty fun to play! I love the fact that the dungeon is procedurally generated, as it really helps on keeping the gameplay interesting when you die in the game.
I made it to the end but a lot of enemies kept shooting off screen and the zap sound was suuuper loud at the end! But then, maybe it was my fault and I shouldn't have ran past the enemies lol
Good job!
@ezaudiolabs Thanks for your time first of all! No its not your fault, actually I didn't had time to properly optimize the bots :(
Love the graphics and nicely done random generation. I like the mechanic of less light with less hp, same thing we did in our game. Nevertheless nice game. Only bug i noticed was sometimes loosing health even if enemies are not touching me. But its really nicely polished. Good Job!
Really nice game graphically and the music is nice - At this point I'm just repeating things other people have said, but the main issue is that the game is pretty laggy. The enemies in their current form are pretty pointless and just annoying-sounding :)
I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/163826993 - Timestamp 0:09:42
I really enjoyed the art style of the first level and the random level generation felt well balanced and was fun. The enemies didn't seem like much of a threat - my strategy was just to run as fast as I could toward the golden battery and ignore any enemies, so maybe a bit more balance could be done with that. The boss level seemed like fun but behaved a bit strangely for me (reverse controls, the girlfriend hoisted me above her head instead of trying to get me, things like that). Overall a really enjoyable game.
Very good visuals ! The procedural generation is pretty good ! Too bad the enemies are so dumb, they aren't a threat at all. The boss fight at the end is also buggy because the boss pushed me out of the screen and I couldn't get back. Anyway it's pretty good ! Great job !
@repusv Thanks for your time. I wish I could work on making the game better but I think since I already published it I am not allowed to, I guess..
Made it to the golden battery! but the end-boss part went a little bit buggy on me and i ended up stuck somewhere off screen. mood/music was nice. It was a bit heavy on the gfx part for my pc. Camera movement could be a lot smoother, made me a little bit motionsick to be honest. Props for the level and character design. all in all a great jam entry.
The graphics are great, and the maze generation seems awesome. I had some trouble getting stuck in corners lots of times, and the sound of the enemies' shooting became a bit annoying after a while.
Okay, it was fun, audio and graphic are very nice. Final boss was unexpected :D Some bug with sound effect of enemy attacks. and controlls are confusing. But good job, you make pretty nice game :)
I really liked the graphics and the atmosphere! However, the sound of ennemies keeping shooting even though you are gone was annoying! I ended up trying to avoid them as much as I could, and managed to get the golden battery. The boss battle didn't end well and I got stuck on its head! =) Good job for the game!
