This game was a lot of fun to go over the ramps and drive around:grinning:! I would like to point out that if you run out of power it says "Game Over" even if you have enough momentum to go into a power station. Even with that extremely minor bug it was a great submission!!

@devorc Hi, thanks for the feedback! That "GAME OVER" text is a place holder function where it should end the game by stopping the car and sending you back to the menu and saving your high score. However I didn't get time to implement that yet and there is no menu so it just keeps running(You can just drive to a recharge point and keep playing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ). I plan on doing a small update to fix these basic issues this evening. :nerd:

This game is nice "toy" :) there are some funny bugs ^^
Hey! Your game is nice! Would've appreciated some music in game though. The car physics are something I want to make but could never make! :P Anyway, nice going. Hoping to see your games again and again! :D

@krishnasism Hi, thanks yeah I really wanted to get some sounds in too. Some music, tire screeches, engine noises and chatter from the fares as you pick up and drop off. Ran out of time to add that as I only just finished the core mechanic in time for the deadline. Setting up the car and camera took most of the time, the vehicle physics in Unity are very difficult to work with.

Fairly fun sandbox, I have a soft spot for Crazy Taxi, so you won me over there!
I also was messing around with wheel colliders for my car physics, but decided to just run my own script using a simple rigid body, since as you learned, it takes a while to get them to work and feel right. If it's one thing Ludum Dare teaches you, it's time management! But, great job on getting it working and running within the limit!
A few simple things, I suggest turning off the person's collision once you pick them up. My car would often flip out once I picked someone up because it was left on; Sometimes it even flipped my car over, which is basically game over. I wish a flip over button was included, since going over a ramp can also doom you to a turtle's death.
As it is now, it's a fun little sandbox, I would have liked to see the full result if you didn't run out of time, but good job on what you've managed to accomplish within it.
This has the bones of a great game. I like how you put in the loop and jumps so you can goof around, though it did get frustrating as I kept flipping the car and having to alt-f4 out of the game. I also kept hitting what I found out later was the other side of the loop, just the back faces were not rendering but the collision was still there!
I would have to second the suggestion that wheel colliders might not be the best option, especially when you are going for something more arcadey like this. It takes a lot of work to fiddle with the weights and the forces to get them just right using proper physics, and event then it can behave in unpredictable ways. Unity physics isn't always the greatest, though it can lead to some funny side effects. :P

It's really fun driving, but you get stuck in some of the white objects quite easily. Otherwise it is working fine.

Barring the simple Unity objects and the lack of music, this was a very fun game to play! The car physics were right on point!!! I found myself trying to corkscrew off of ramps trying to pick up passengers more than I was trying to balance the power amount. Neat little sandbox game :) Keep up the great work!!

The car is very fun to drive. I love drifting around like I was in initial D or something. It would have been cool if charging your car costed money. That would have tied the gameplay mechanics together very nicely. Now money doesn't really have any purpose. I like how you put loops and ramps around the place :D

This a great idea for a game, good job!. I would love to see a game with the driving controls like this in a city with a lot of ramps and stuns to do.

@sixteen press escape and start again. I will add a post jam version soon where you can reset your car if you flip it.

the game was fun and i enjoyed it allot great submission! Although some music would go a long way (:
Neat sandbox game. A flip button would have been great because it's easy to land upside down. Some music would also be great to have. There are simple music programs out there, such as bosca ceoil. If you're running really low on time there's also an autotracker made in python which creates an 8-bit song in literally less than a second https://github.com/wibblymat/ld24/blob/master/autotracker.py

Crazy Taxi: Tesla Edition. With textures, character models and music, I would buy it instantly. Nothing more to say

@manumeq Hahah, thanks that's great encouragement! I will be adding that in the near future.
Nice car physics! As @luckyfeathers said, a flip button would be nice. Bring some music and some sound effects and it can be awesome!

@indiealchemist hi thanks for rating my game, I’ll be uploading a post jam version with some sounds, music and a flip mechanic soon. Then I’ll work on some nice graphics to finish it off in a later version.
