Pretty cool! I managed to get the spaceship on my second attempt but there is a little trick which can ease the task : when you build a ressource next to a boost and immediately remove it you gain ressource for free.

Nice job for a 24 hour game! Love the way the beats of the music control the ticks of the resources - very intuitive!

namrog84 2015-08-24 04:27

the world was healthy when I left it! noooo! good game though! i liked it!

bthedestroyermc 2015-08-24 04:29

Fine game, but it could have had more depth like a progression tree (better versions of buildings to construct, etc.) Also, kind of a missed opportunity that the earth doesn't pulse with the music :/

gaius-baltar 2015-08-24 04:31

I like how it's sort of rhythm based, it feels a lot like "Papers Please".
It's fun to figure out what you need to prioritize in order to balance the worlds health with the resources you need to leave, and that also works itself into the theme you were building up.

Really liked the beats mechanic with the marching music! Seems like the restore building is a bit unbalanced - you can get enough to make waiting for a long time be a workable strategy.

It was a cool game. Graphics were weird, but weird is cool. And I like what the music.

ybalrid 2015-08-24 05:06

Good pixel art (in Gameboy screen tone :p) Grat sound. It's based on the rythm of the music!

crare 2015-08-24 05:09

Nice game! Recource buildings are nice and can take your time nicely for hours :) It isn't though not so theme like.

dosmaen 2015-08-24 05:30

The song was catchy, not much else in the way of sound effects. I love games in this style, so it was a lot of fun.

Music was fantastic, and the gameplay was engaging, with the down time being short enough to not get boring.

I was able to bank a lot of planet HP and resources by combining resources, restore, and boosts, and then just do a rush on research at the end. This concept has the potential to be expanded to something really awesome.

Great job!

tibyte 2015-08-24 11:10

I think a Timer is missing to make this even more awesome. This is a bit too easy for my taste without it.

general 2015-08-24 21:54

Good result for 24h! It can be expanded into a bigger space strategy about a civilization which constantly wonders around the galaxy, draining resources from the planets and leaving chaos behind.

Here I made videos of me playing LD entries: http://youtu.be/6Al6aF0oETA
Your game is at 4:24

Quirky little resource management game, although I was a little confused at why I was chewed out at the end despite leaving the Earth at higher health than I found it. Regardless, I think you use the 4-colour palette rather effectively and the music sets the game's gloomy tone well. Good work!

secularbaron 2015-08-28 09:14

Cool game. I destroyed the earth just like I am in real life. That audio is awesome.

keyboardmonkey 2015-08-28 12:03

Nice graphics, music and concept!

druid 2015-08-28 14:37

Wow, this was pretty cool entry! Interesting mechanics, cool audio and nice mood! I gave almost all / 5 to this one :)

gamepopper 2015-08-29 20:31

The self-awareness is quite fun, and the sprites look nice, but the gameplay is a bit repetitive.

denis347 2015-08-30 10:31

Nice game, it was fun to play. I like the music. Too bad you didn't have more time to add some more progression.

onionblitz 2015-08-30 10:36

Cool little game. Nice art, I love the mood that the audio brings. :)

togimaro 2015-08-30 11:47

Great job! A wonderful interpretation of the theme! The graphics and the musics are cool

jod 2015-08-30 11:49

Pretty cool!

zeriver 2015-08-30 20:07

Hah neat game, i like art style - simple but pleasant to eyes, music is also nice. Beating game at first try is tricky but when you get grasp on things you pretty much know what you have to do, it just takes some time ;)
