Loved the idea of using bullets and time stopping to help solve puzzles! I had some issues on 3rd part when colliding with the redblocks while time was stopped (I guess some exception was thrown, 'cause the game got real slow). Anyway, great job!

I loved the mechanic of this, it was great! The jumping could've been smoother, but the timestamp thing worked well!

Great Game !

Gameplay and concept were awesome, it was a lot of fun to play! You might want to fix those red blocks though, the caused the game to bug out and freeze.

Great concept for the game, both stopping time and making stopping time useful for the game.

Really great concept, decent execution. The jumping was very buggy, and this was the root of most of the problems I had; I simply couldn't control the character well. Ended up giving up on the "Leap of Faith level" because I simply couldn't remember where the door was. However, again, it's still very cool.

Really fun concept, and overall well done. The jumping was a bit jerky, and i couldn't figure out how to get past the Leap of Faith stage. My character either landed on the door, or got stuck in it if i put him in the right spot. Never did get past that level.

Great mechanic. At first I thought the timestahp was glitchy. Turns out my right mouse button is broken. :)

parzivalthevirtual 2015-04-21 05:59

@rectangular Tim: I laughed out loud but I'm truly sorry for your mouse :(. I have an Asus WT425 and I haven't had any issues with it yet. I'm glad you like the mechanic :D

Anything that makes use of time mechanics gets my vote, but you pushed the envelope on this one. Way to go buddy!

Very nice mechanic and level progression, it's really nice seeing the Unconventional Weapon being thought about in terms of actual game mechanics instead of the abundant "switch bullets for bananas" kinda entries.

Music and sound was also nice, visuals decent, only the jumping felt strange, like the gravity was a little too strong and pulling the character back down quite harshly.

I had a crash after I failed the "red is bad" level the second time, so you might wanna look into your player reset-function.

To me, the laser-streaks could have been a tad longer, the jumping puzzles really were grueling because of the perfect jumping and aiming I had to pull off while holding the mouse key at the same time.

Nice work,, though!

parzivalthevirtual 2015-04-21 21:17

@ Phil: Thanks for playing it. The gravity is like that because I couldn't quite replicate the gravity Unity uses by default. Due to scaling the time I had to replace almost all the native physics in the game with custom made ones so I couldn't quite get the jump/land right. Also collisions were a really big problem so 90% of the time spent on the game was making the time stopping mechanic actually work and only a few hours on music, art and level design. I'm glad I managed to make something people enjoy even if only for a few minutes. I'll keep working on the game and fix/polish stuff and release it for free on itch.io.

Cool mechanic, but a little bit glitchy to use the time stopping. Also like the music!

tides 2015-04-23 12:03

Nice concept. But i need more smooth camera to fully enjoy this game. You could make a post compo version however

gogo199432 2015-04-24 14:00

Man, I love anything that has anything to do with stopping time! Great one there

raysandlazors 2015-04-25 11:35

I liked the concept and sounds, however the physics had an awful tendency of sending me flying all over the place. Jumping felt strange and the game crashed on me a few times. Overall - shows potential. With all bugs fixed and the graphics polished it will be a great game. Now go get it :)

firecamp 2015-04-25 11:52

Game has a great concept idea. Innovative fun to provide.

But so many bugs.. jump mechanics and key choices aren't optimal imho.

Woking a bit on controls and level design, some graphics and i could be awesome ! Good job and good luck !

davecarlile 2015-05-11 15:42

The time stop mechanic was good, the bullets could be a little longer so they're easier to jump on - it would be interesting to have different guns with different bullet attributes for solving different kinds of jumping puzzles. I really liked the concept and other than a couple of odd jittery moments where everything slowed way down it was well executed.

I really liked this one.

Great idea.
