i don't know why but i have only 5 fps.
Maybe my computer is old.

My configuration of my computer :
Processor intel i 5 4200 - 4CPUs
Graphic Card : GTX 760M 2G
RAM : 16G

It worked fine on my Computer.
The story in your description was great, and I really liked the idea behind the gameplay, that being said, I think your execution was off. Running from zombies is only interesting for so long, also the screen is very small so it is difficult when zombies pop in from off screen from not very far away and you have to react. but it seems like you have the core of a really cool game,

daiwen 2015-04-20 07:30

Thanks for your comments! I really don't know what I can do about perfs... :-( I agree with what you said Catwheel, I realised than running away from zombies wasn't gonna be fun for long, a bit late. Next time I will try to set up my gameplay to be able to tell a short story, which would probably make the experience more satisfying.

Jerre if you downloaded the game something like 5 hours before you commented. The new version should fix that.

It was fun. Work with no problem under Linux.

grillaface 2015-04-21 16:24

Controls are very tough!

philstrahl 2015-04-21 16:36

At first the input concept was unusual, but once I realized that it was like the guided tear in Binding of Isaac I got the hang of it. Nothing too innovative but implementation worked and the framerate was steady.

Personally, I found the sound to be a little annoying (looping zombie-groan) and I would have enjoyed to play a little longer than just dying with the first hit, though.

Also the rather close camera made every round more frenetic than tactical. Sadly, the gameplay didn't introduce any new elements such as obstacles, upgrades, or different enemy types (e.g. slower but tougher zombies, shooting foes, etc.)

Hmmmm interesting switch up of twin-stick play. I think the zombies could have ramped up in numbers more gradually, it becomes overwhelming very quickly. Could be cool as a local multi game in which one player controls the character and the other the arrow.

rjhelms 2015-04-21 16:58

Cool control scheme. Took a while to get the hang of, but it's neat.

I agree with Phil that the sound got a bit annoying - maybe have a few different groans, and have them play less frequently?

rburema 2015-04-22 19:24

thoughts:
- interesting concept, fits nicely with the theme (inspired by GotG?)
- the zombie 'grahrrr' sound effect can be quite annoying
- the background-story in the description is nice, but where do the zombies fit in?

p4nurge 2015-04-22 19:25

A really neat mechanic - reminded me of the thingies that what's-his-name had in Guardians of the Galaxy (if you've seen the film, you'll know what I mean!). With a little polish, I think it would work really well as a combat mechanic in a full game.

The presentation was understandably rough around the edges but I do hope you'll keep working on this. The gameplay has real promise.

daiwen 2015-04-22 19:30

Thanks. As for GotG, indeed, I absolutely loved that seen :-) Reading the comment I realised that my game would have gain a lot values if I had tried to tell the sotry through the gameplay rather than making it a scoring game. I will try to make something with that in mind.

kaiseangames 2015-04-22 22:04

Is it meant to be played by two players or is it just too hard? :) I found the game interesting, but I last only for some 10 seconds.

daiwen 2015-04-23 09:11

I am sorry the difficulty is not properly handled, I would greatly advise to test the game with an XBox controller, since this is the way it was intended to be played. Yeah 10 seconds is about right my high score my have been around the 30, but there is very much a random factor in the way zombies spawns.

roryd 2015-04-23 16:16

Wow, tough game! I survived 21.934 seconds and killed 52 zombies. The weapon looked like that needle weapon from Guardians of the Galaxy. It was tough due to the spawning of the zombies and the move speed. I think it might have been a bit more fun if the enemies ramped up a little more slowly. I basically just focused on keeping my character out of danger and swirled around the weapon in hope of killing zombies. I played with a controller since playing with the keyboard didn't feel right.

kinosawada 2015-04-23 16:18

Oh i liked, its fun . ^^

maunovaha 2015-04-23 17:34

Fun little jam game :) controls could need more work. but anyway! good job :)

f7f5 2015-04-23 17:40

This is tough, at least when played with keyboard controls! I lasted for 13 seconds or so in my best attempt. I liked the sound effects, though.

midnightcreators 2015-04-24 16:57

Nice concept! Need more refinament on gameplay and leveldesign, but the game have potential to be more. Congratulations for the entry ^^

monkeedude1212 2015-04-24 17:12

Not sure if it was just my PC, but the game closed on death, which, if you're trying to use the keyboard or xbox controller for your input, is painstaking to replay with.

daiwen 2015-04-25 07:23

@monkeedude1212 This shouldn't happen. I agree that this is annoying and to be fair you need to press enter to restart which is probably a pain when you use a controller. Try launching the game from within the folder. The game may not crash on death but because it can't find the resource needed when a zombie is killed.
