The game works weird for me on windows. Jumping sends people to the moon, including both you and npcs.

PD as reply to your comment on my game: Thanks! I went for weird and strange, so I guess I did the job well hehe :)

Interresting art and good use of the theme too, nice entry.

mano 2015-04-20 19:37

Interesting idea. It would be nicer to move. Also making people happy in other ways than just pressing space bar would have been nice.

shrapx 2015-04-20 19:38

I like the graphics and the smiles, I wanted a higher rate of smiles to outsmile the grumpy.

saymon 2015-04-20 19:41

Cool game, i Really like the idea and the graphics !

bpvelloso 2015-04-21 15:18

Nice idea, I liked it a lot, but it have some problems, the jump is too high, and I fell out of the game in the second stage.

maunovaha 2015-04-21 15:19

interesting entry and nice graphical direction. :) !

kivano 2015-04-21 16:07

The smile - an unconventional weapon, Love the idea! Execution also is nice, but don't know why you made main character to move sooo slowly.. Anyway I'm very glad I played this game, it reminds me that smiling to people is very important. Thanks!

Hey I was pretty sure I left a comment before. I guess I must have rated while writing the comment into the comment box ... duno.
Well so yes, your game is the first one I tried. I really like the idea of using smile as a weapon and the handdrawn style of the gfx !

Cool to see someone else making games with godot engine. Thumps up!

biliogadafr 2015-04-21 19:25

Nice weapon :) I like the idea. Also graphics style is interesting. Simple but looks good. Btw on windows 7x64 it crashes when mouse enters window. However it is possible to play if not touch mouse :)

thomastc 2015-04-22 17:11

Great work! Very interesting mechanics, both with the smiling/frowning and with the blower things. Love the hand-drawn art style. On the fourth (?) level I managed to get up on the ledge to the left, because I thought I was supposed to... walked off the far end, and fell into a void.

frederickk 2015-04-22 17:14

A godot game!! Yayy!! :D
I liked the idea and the visual effects, but the gameplay is a little weird, it is my opinion, but I think it could be more dynamic, it seems it could be two very different games, one that is a platform and another that could be about minions and spread happiness.
Overall, good job! :)

traumendes_madchen 2015-04-22 19:15

The idea is interesting and the graphics are unusual but everything is a bit too confusing. Also I tried the game on Windows and it was buggy so I couldn't play for long (enough to jump like crazy XD).

PS: this game needs music =')

uannaff 2015-04-22 22:57

I wanted to keep playing more :c, but on the second level I jumped to the stars and then i fell to a void, I thinks it's a really cool idea, graphics are weird but they work for me. In general I would play this in my free time if you fix the weird behaviour.

leddkire 2015-04-24 02:22

Getting the same bug on the windows 64 bit build. Other than that, it's got a neat style.

noorstudios 2015-04-26 18:01

great game, i love the idea of smile as a weapon to defeat anger.

zyxer 2015-04-27 00:30

This is really the opposite of my game! :D
I really like the art style, did you really draw it on paper and scan it in? It surely would be a cheap alternative to a pen tablet :D
I also like the combination between the agility mechanic of the air vents and the puzzle mechanic of the happiness.

x1212 2015-04-27 18:01

Thanks to everyone for the feedback!

about those weird jumping bugs: I'm not able to reproduce those on any system I ran this game on, so I probably won't be able to fix that anytime soon :(

about the slow movement: probably because I was tired and slow when I tested and balanced the physics, but I have also seen the opposite bug of that high/fast jump, in form of extremly slow walking ...

@ZYXer: I just used a good brush-preset that is available in Krita by default, then I made a paper-like background for the world with gimp by using some noise, blurring and then weak noise again.

jonathang 2015-05-04 18:02

I really wanted to get into this one, but the jumping is broken (much too powerful) on windows. I tried win 32 and 64 but they had the same behaviour.
It's a shame because from what I can see, the graphics and concept are quite unique.

drprettypatty 2015-05-05 16:06

Great work! FYI it worked fine for me on win_64 (I also have a GPU that has PhysX, can't remember if Godot uses it or not). Tighter/less floaty movement would be nice (I know, I have the same problem in my game :P), but you've created wonderful graphics and made really nice use of the theme!
