When I launch I get the music, but the window is minimized; It crashes when I click into it

rother-games 2014-12-08 14:56

Please remember to unzip it before playing!

redpanda_ua 2014-12-08 15:35

Couldn't play, there is simply no cursor in game :/
Windows 8 x64

madball 2014-12-08 15:59

I don't know where to start in this game! I only have R-1 rockets, and no available contract gives more money than R-1 costs. I couldn't unlock new types of rockets by getting level 2 of each research, and I spent almost all money doing it!
This is sad, because the game is very appealing. Graphics are great, music is catchy, UI is comfortable.
Oh, and you should add a white border to the mouse pointer, I can't see it on black background.

rallebauz 2014-12-08 16:08

I tried to complete it, but there's just no way to make it with 80000 at the start. It's a cool game and I would like to finish it.

rother-games 2014-12-08 17:34

@ Madball
You need a very high level of each Technology to unlock a new rocket.
Hint:
At first do not spend much money on researching. It is better if you complete contracts first.

paperweight 2014-12-08 18:31

It's pretty unclear what you can and can't click and the cursor often disappears over objects of the same colour. Like windows does it should have a border ideally. Cool idea but I quickly got bored.

hwinwuzhere 2014-12-08 18:31

I really like the idea of the game. The first image with the astronaut at the background is really cool and the music is a bit catchy :P

jojocanard 2014-12-08 18:41

I completed a few contracts but then none of them could be achieved with my R-1 and research didn't unlock any other rocket. => stuck

alsweigart 2014-12-08 18:43

Good twist on the basics of Kerbal Space Program. The rocket launch animation got tedious after the first few ones. There were a lot of menus to navigate through, and it wasn't always clear what exactly had to be clicked on. Good game though!

onemuppet 2014-12-08 20:13

The game crashes every time: Start => Music => Minimize window => click on it == crash

tried on Windows 64bit

HelkeGames 2014-12-09 16:33

Unique concept! Maybe a bit bugged ? overall well done!

mechanicmoon 2014-12-09 16:39

I think that the idea is great, and the game has good things, but it needs more time, better design and be less boring. Good try and I'm sure that you next game will be better, I will cheer you ;-)

susanthecat 2014-12-09 16:48

Very ambitious game.
The graphics were cute, but the text is sometimes hard to read in the tutorial because of the background. Maybe put a bubble behind the tutorial text?
I eventually had to stop playing because the mouse cursor was only moving about a pixel a second. Window 7 64 bit

ViliX 2014-12-12 13:57

Any chance of Linux build? It looks very interesting and I'd like to play it. If so, contact me on Twitter (@ViliX64)

kabukky 2014-12-12 13:59

Very ambitious :) Radiates coolness somehow.
Still buggy, but hey - that's the spirit of LD.

wilson 2014-12-12 14:04

The concept is really cool and I was starting to get into it with the research, but you need a way to refuse contracts so new ones appear, or you shouldn't be offered contracts which you can't complete. I managed one mission, and then never received another contract I could complete with my R1, even after taking 7 contracts randomly to get new options.

depp 2014-12-13 00:23

Cool! I had severe problems using the mouse at times, it was very unresponsive on certain screens. Also, I couldn't figure out how to get more powerful rockets.

ethanwebster 2014-12-14 16:49

Great concept, keep adding to it.

pkenney 2014-12-14 19:24

Cool idea for a game. It seemed complex during the tutorial but actually I got the hang of it pretty quick. I took two contracts I could handle at the start, and one was a success but the other crashed. Cool!

After this it got tricky. Without understanding, I accepted a contract to send a rocket to Venus. Then my rockets said "Rocket has not enough power." Then I noticed that they are LEO and the second rocket LEO/GEO. So that made sense.

However, I later accepted contracts for LEO and GEO launches that were within my load capacity. But still it said "rocket has not enough power."

I was never able to conduct another launch for the rest of the game. I spent all of my profits from the first launch and all of my capital and even went negative, and got my research up enough to have R3.

So I had LEO, GEO, and Moon missions. I had the rockets for those orbit types. I had enough carrying capacity. But still the game wouldn't let me launch, always saying "rocket has not enough power." I did not understand and eventually gave up (after running my business into the ground).

Very cool concept but something went wrong, either I didn't understand, or there was a bug that having a Venus contract in my list prevented me from executing any other contracts.

Very interesting concept, though. I liked the approach and it was too bad I couldn't get deeper into this and reach out to the solar system.

(I did play the bugfix version)

rother-games 2014-12-14 20:10

@pkenney
Thank you for reporting this bug.
I am going to fix it today.

dieblume86 2014-12-16 16:13

Nice idea

shivur 2014-12-17 05:06

Good concept and deep gameplay. However it need balancing with the contracts available and the amount we need to invest in research to be able to realize them. I tried several times and always get stuck on V2.

vaclav 2014-12-26 22:23

Oooh very lovely little game. Playing with German rockets is what I always wanted to do :)
Did you write the song (wow)? What tools did you use?
