Pretty simple game, seems like the game would be over as soon as you level up to the point that you can't outrun your bombs any more. (I screwed up before that.) A few enemies, or even just some randomly spawning bombs to avoid would have kicked it up a notch.
Thanks for sharing it!
@madflame991 : Possible bug ??? ...
@Truce : Indeed, there's no real end, we can not win ... For ennemies or random bombs, it's a good idea ^^
Quite fun, nicely done.
Hit a bug - once the bombs get larger the visible explosion is nothing like what they're actually doing - I had blocks disappearing around 5 squares away from where the explosion said it should have happened - possibly explains madflame991's comment too.
Great entry. Minor improvements: some visual indicator as to how close the bomb is to blow up (maybe growing slightly or changing color ala bomberman) and that the movement would be a little more forgiving.
Fun game, with exciting though simple gameplay. It would be kind of fun to have some combo scoring or increasing levels or something to give it a little more complexity. I liked the soundtrack, and I don't know quite why I kept raising my arms, but that was cute too. Couldn't you just pursue nonviolence? There's no real pressure to set the bombs, is there?
Enjoyed it.
Interesting idea- it's kinda like Bomberman, but the blocks are your opponent.
Really fun, nice work :)
Thanks ;)
@Arkazon, Nefarious & Dave : I note your suggestions for future versions !
Nice simple little game, interesting idea.
very fun game!
Very nice game. One of the few LD entries I've seen lately that had me going back for more.
It starts a little slow but gets crazy and fun really quick :). I love the music. As others have said, the explosion seems to outgrow the graphics, at which point it's no longer fun :(. It would also be nice to have some kind of audio cue when you level up, so you know to run farther.
Feels somewhat laggy on my super-computer, but simple & nice idea.
Not sure if it really applies to the theme. That being said the game is much more fun when the brick spawning gets underway. I thought there was a bit of latency in the controls when you were just tapping keys. I could see you developing this into an early 90s arcade style game where you play repeatedly for higher score. The music was good too.
Thanks ;) I'm the author of the music with Logic Pro (10 minutes before the end ^^-
Huh, interesting start here. It'd be cool to have some more stuff happen in later levels - maybe enemies :)
Yeah, but I had (unfortunately) not the time to add cool features !
