Crashes on startup on my Win 7.

You need XNA 4.0 which is in the links a the top.

Thanks!

And damn you XNA, at least a little message box saying its missing, would be better than crashing.

I liked the idea, however the randomness factor makes it a little bit boring when the same obstacle repeats over and over again.

XNA + Linux being a no-go, I unfortunately cannot test your game :( Sorry about that, and good luck anyway !

I liked the fact to give the player controls over time. I also liked being able to speed up to make it more difficult for myself. It could use more obstacles though.

Interesting progression system, would have been a bit more enjoyable with checkpoints after each ability gain.

Congrats on submitting!

Despite the bland graphics you managed to introduce some interesting elements in the runner genre, in particular how NOT using skills gives point bonuses, tasking the player to time their usage well and not just mash them. Nice.

I also liked how you changed the normal introductional flow to game actions. It's such a minimal change, but it did make the game feel much less strained than when you're playing through a tutorial level just bashing the space key trying to get to the next image.

On those points, good work.

Interesting approach to the abilities. However there's not much evading, usually the first or second obstacle is one of the kind you cannot overcome yet. For every game now you have to redo the same ability buildup which feels somewhat tedious.
Still, neat concept.

I really wish XNA would be able to show that you need to download the runtime instead of dumb crashing.

The sounds kill my ears. It's like they're custom made to drill into my eardrums and create some kind of pure sonic agony. If I could request one improvement it'd be a volume control.

Aside from that, okay game, and I like how the abilities are introduced as you need them. I like less that on replays during the same session you have to be re-introduced to them. Good idea to reward use of skills only when appropriate. But please do something about the audio!

There are some interesting mechanics here, like not using abilities giving points. Also, the interplay between being invisible and timing your other actions right is good. Other than that, well, can't really say much about the graphics, and the sharp sounds are mostly just an annoyance. So just work up on the polishing, and your next game will undoubtedly be better.

Interesting entry - well done! Everybody else already said everything...
