Oct 18 22:23:07 Full Steam Ahead! ♥ 1 Other raters: go play one round of the game FIRST, read the comments LATER, this is one that's better when you go into it blind.
Oct 19 00:27:50 2h 04m Retroid Zania ♥ 1 Now on the one hand, after I discovered a secret underground passageway between the planets, I barely ever went back to the asteroids zone. On the other hand, finding it felt *so absurdly cool*. !> "Magic isn't real." Locate endgame item. It's a tome... "Magic isn't real." Hah.
Oct 19 01:23:17 55m 27s Old Man Playing Old Game ♥ 1 Felt a sense of accomplishment at mastering the absurd controls and finishing the game... but now, after the ending, all I can think about is how six-year-old me was never able to finish Final Fantasy Adventure for the original Game Boy and wondered if he ever would.
Oct 19 23:16:48 21h 53m Iconworld Doctor ♥ 1 Wonderful! I started playing last night but got so stuck on level 13 that I had to set it down and come back later with fresh eyes to finish. Compared to other Sokoban-likes, I spent less time thinking through my moves and more time jiggling things around and hoping it'd work out, but I don't know whether that's a function of the ruleset or of my as-yet underdeveloped sense of how the layerable windows interact with other objects. The click handlers on the checkboxes and radio buttons were a nice touch :D
Oct 19 23:26:23 9m 35s weird gameboy game I found in the mountains ♥ 1 Enjoyed what I played. I'm think I've gotten myself stuck. !> The world is 3D now (meaning you had to make the world twice! in completely different formats!). I'm not sure how much is attributable to ringing the bell vs meeting the person(?) underground vs eating(?) the non-turnip glitch entity. I've received and decoded a radio transmission. None of the trees seems intractable. I'm guessing it's time to "go back between world states though unfortunate events", probably to get back in the cave and to that object that wanted me to enter words. I don't think I can grow another not-a-turnip and the bell is silent. I started trying to parkour off of objects to see if there were any secrets hidden in the new z-axis, and I found out you can walk on top of the lakes if you jump onto them from something else, but now I'm stuck in a little patch of grass in the corner opposite my house, blocked from returning home by water on one side and foliage on the other.
Oct 20 03:32:31 4h 06m Dr Break Boom Invaders ♥ 1 Love how I have to continually choose a game to neglect for a while so I have enough attention to split between the others. Invaders killed me most often; I could always send pills from Dr. Mario into Kaboom as extra HP, and blocks in Dr. Mario never built up fast enough to be a threat when the Breakout ball would make a trip through every so often. Probably should've directed the ball over to Invaders more. High score 9196. Feels like it has a really high skill ceiling by game jam standards, and I'm nowhere near it.
Oct 24 02:31:28 94h 58m Raytracer ♥ 1 I like the RGB key controls; they work just about equally well for us Dvorak users! It took me a moment to figure out that I was supposed to hold the color until the next 'x', not just for one square/beat, but my second playthrough got 28.6% instead of 0%, so, progress! Loved the voiceovers. Still a little confused about what the accuracy numbers represent. I know I did bad on my first run, but I think I got at least one segment right, so a score of precisely zero feels surprising.
Oct 28 01:48:17 95h 16m Play In Case Of Death ♥ 1 @tony-li Funny you mention that... I thought I'd be able to figure it out, but after several failed attempts I had to open another tab and search "how to use a rotary phone".
Oct 28 02:33:08 44m 51s Broken, Repair! ♥ 0 Didn't understand the point of golden and prismatic parts the first time around. By the end of my second playthrough, I was assembling and shipping full-prismatic GameToys instead of fixing the ones coming in, and I died with $4918.
Oct 28 16:50:31 14h 17m Caption Obvious ♥ 0 Not a lot of entries can convince me to take the old Windows box out of mothballs, but I'll do it in a heartbeat to play Trivia Hart II. (Loved the physical "Look over there!" card.)
