| Apr 24 22:35:38 | Cutter of Grass | ♥ 2 | Really nice vibe - very relaxing to play & I loved the vibrant colours! Initially I thought the controls were a bit tricky, but once I got the hand of slowing down to make tighter turns it started to make sense. I also really enjoyed the audio design - the way the music slows down when you do suits the game very well (and pushed me to go faster :P) Very nice entry! :) | |
| Apr 24 22:53:33 | 17m 55s | Tentacle Tumble | ♥ 0 | Nice little platfomer! I liked the music, and the squid was cute. I found the game extremely hard though - it took me about 10 tries to get down to the boss fight, and then two of my boss fights I just died instantly. I managed to chip a bit of health away on the other 2, but I found it too hard to beat - especially when only having one hitpoint. It was good fun learning the level on the way down - but a little frustrating that hitting a wall would take away all of your speed. Also the controls are a lot more than left click! WASD + space to go up wasn't mentioned anywhere, so the first time I had no idea what was going on. Nice entry though, hope you enjoyed the jam! |
| Apr 24 23:15:35 | 22m 02s | Diving for Oxygen | ♥ 1 | The web version didn't really seem to work for me on firefox, but the downloaded version (windows) worked well. Its a shame that you didn't get the building mechanic implemented, because I can see how this would expand into a really cool underwater colony sim. Cute game though, and there is clearly a lot here in terms of the simulation and UI (impressive for a jam). I also really liked the audio: very simple but very moody. Nice job, I enjoyed watching the little divers wander around doing their jobs! ... I also felt really cruel when I killed them all off after I was done playing, by setting them all to 'energy producer'... They stopped following my orders :'( |
| Apr 24 23:30:59 | 15m 24s | Gas Giant Airship | ♥ 1 | Nice, I like the mechanic, and the particle visualisations of the layers were perfect! I wish there was some kind of scoring system to tell me whether my times were 'good' or not, but even so, I was enjoying trying to optimise my routes by remembering the challenges of certain destinations. I had a good time, nice entry! |
| Apr 25 11:43:17 | 12h 12m | Revenge of the Slimomancer | ♥ 0 | Really fun little RTS. I loved the music - especially when the heavier guitar came in on the boss level. Game looked pretty too (loved the level transition). Really nice enemy variety for the compo too - I enjoyed playing, and my swarm defeated the final boss 😎 Good entry! |
| Apr 25 12:12:20 | 29m 03s | Depth Delver | ♥ 1 | Woah that was really difficult towards the end, I must have died about 100 times xD (death counter would have been fun) But I was really enjoying it and got to the end, the checkpoints were well placed and it had a nice classic feel. I only got 41 coins though, clearly wasn't looking hard enough! I thought the whole game fit really well together: graphically, visually and controllery. I think the whip felt good - reminded me of spelunky where there is a similar time delay/lag for the whip - it makes it feel really satisfying when you get the timing right! Nice entry! |
| Apr 25 16:11:10 | 3h 58m | Break The Tower | ♥ 1 | Fantastic jam game - absolutely loads of content which was really fun to explore (lots of depth ;)). I managed to unlock every upgrade in the end, and had a great time exploring all the features. You have a knack for making really engaging games out of a simple polished 'hook' - great job! |
| Apr 25 20:35:19 | 4h 24m | Deep Space | ♥ 0 | Ayy, I managed to complete it! I agree with the other commenters: it wasn't immediately clear what the building did. Especially the oxygen! I died like 5 times before I figured out how it worked. For anyone who hasn't played yet: **Build the blue cylinders!** You need 3/4 of them to keep your oxygen up! I had fun though, the game looks cute and is the foundation of something really cool. I had fun propelling myself deeper into space, nice entry! |
| Apr 25 20:42:24 | 7m 05s | The Depths | ♥ 1 | Cute game, I liked the graphical style and music suited it well! Turns out I have spectacularly poor aim with torpedos though... good job I'm not in the navy, I just used my hull to ram into the mines :P I liked the tutorial, made it very easy to get into the game, shame you didn't have time to put more levels together, but I enjoyed what I played - nice entry! |
| Apr 25 20:54:29 | 12m 05s | Project: Coreline | ♥ 1 | Nice, I managed to reach the core! It took me a bit of time to figure out the interface and realise that I could build additional rings of settlements. It's got kind of a frostpunk vibe to it, was that an influence? I think once I figured that out, it was cool to build up some settlements, but it wasn't too challenging - I think maybe some extra mechanics like proximity/neighbor bonuses might have helped add a bit of strategy to the design. As it was though, I still enjoyed setting up a few districts with roughly the right proportions and being able to fuel my drill to power through to the core! Also the game looked pretty, and the ambient sound gave a good atmosphere (would have been nice to have some music too though) - nice entry! |
