Apr 16 20:42:25 Voiceborne ♥ 2 Nice concept but either my microphone didn't work properly or I'm not understanding what I have to say exactly, because I find it a bit hard to summon and channel power... Also, the game should give a bit more informations to the player, for exemple it's hard to know if the enemy boss still has a lot of HP or not. Still a great idea and would love to see more done with it !
Apr 17 13:27:35 16h 45m Demonware Incorporated ♥ 2 Very well done on the art and sounds ! The gameplay is a bit too tight on some minigames to my taste but I like it. Only thing I dislike is that you have to use the mouse to start a new minigame, but the minigames use keyboard, which can lead to lose a precious second to reach back the keys. I guess it also means that I suck at the game 😆 Otherwise great game tho.
Apr 17 13:55:53 28m 18s Summoning Detective ♥ 1 Did I count the poitns correctly ? Also, what to do with stored dices ? They are out of the game after ? I started storing dices on my last throws, trying to get plants and hearts. Worked for the hearts, not the plant... Little_1.png Almost had that perfect circle. Really nice idea !
Apr 17 20:36:25 6h 40m Fry'em the imps ♥ 1 Not sure I understood how to play, but an attempt is an attempt ! Well done for finishing it !
Apr 18 13:53:34 17h 17m Ezra’s Bloodcall ♥ 1 Nice game ! The movements are a bit frustrating to get, especially when you have to sacrifice a part before a new wave, but it's fun. Avoiding projectiles might be too hard for me.
Apr 19 13:44:41 23h 51m Summoner's Dungeon ♥ 1 A bit rough to play to be honest. Controls are hard to get because your character feels a bit heavy to manoeuver while also being too fast to respond to players input. It's a bit sad because the level seems good for a 48 / 72h game, but it's just to hard to advance with the controls. Here are some advice to make your game more enjoyable : - Try implementing controller support if you do a platformer. On Godot it's actually quite simple, you basically only need to add an input in the Project settings on your actions. It's even half made ; you can already move the character with a controller, only not jumping. - Give a bit of friction and acceleration to the controls. Character goes from 0 to 100 in a frame, this is a bit too fast ; if you want a game without any of this, slow it down a bit. - Give info to the player. For instance, I don't know what is the blue flame at the begining and what I must do with it, I see it kinda follow me around, that I can jump on it, but I don't know how to move it or anything. Other than that, it's still a good attempt for a first jam, there is enemy variety, a seemingly long level (I couldn't beat it), and again, a challenging and interesting level design. Congrats for finishing it in time !
Apr 19 13:57:45 13m 04s Flickering Hope ♥ 1 Was a bit confused at first but really a neat experience in the end ! The puzzles are interesting and diverse.
Apr 19 14:23:18 25m 33s Master Of The Pit ♥ 1 Fun game, I really love the sound the vampire makes when you summon him ! I should mention I had a bug that cancelled the upgrade on the leeches mid-playthrough. Still won but it made the game way harder !
Apr 19 14:30:26 7m 08s Merlin Agency : The Enchanted Feather ♥ 2 Not exactly my type of game but still find it fun, which is a good thing ! My only complaint is that the sound the pigeons are making when you miss the incantation gets annoying real fast. Also the desired incantation for the next pigeon tends to spawn before it arrives, which breaks a bit the flow. It's not a gamebreaker for a jam game but I felt like it gave an unfair advantage to the player. Really nice game overall !
Apr 19 14:47:46 17m 20s Angel Vox ♥ 3 Stunning graphics and sounds for a jam game, congrats on this ! Only drawback is that there is some bug about the mouse. On my second playthrough, the view kept going to the right even without input. Also the moment of the choice wasn't very clear and I would have preferred a clearer way to know what would happen by taking the item (not spoiling it). The environments are very good and the sound design is neat. Nice experience really !
Apr 23 10:52:21 92h 04m Blood Rite ♥ 3 Might repeat what has been said before but ; solid concept, and overall a good execution, but the game lacks a bit of feedback given to the player. I was actually unsure that the 20 mana summons were doing any damage at first. Also the blood meter is not very clear because the blood cost for skeletons is in units, but the meter is a gauge without numbers. The rats taking a bit of time to actually die seemed off to me at first but it's not a problem once you understand how the game mechanics work. I was not sure I sacrificed them the right way in the beginning. The game falls a bit in a gameplay loop going like "flee > kill rats > summon > circle around the hero to ensure the skeletons are attacking > repeat" that goes old a bit quick, but it's still a nice concept that could be dug for a bigger game. The music being a bit repetitive probably adds a bit to this feeling of repetitiveness too. I like a lot the graphics. It's actually fairly impressive to see how much graphical content is out there ! and the whole concept of being the bad guy is always nice to see explored. Overall a very good entry (don't take my critics as a negative review, I still liked the game a lot and it's only meant to improve).
Apr 23 10:59:39 7m 18s Keyboard Warrior ♥ 1 Nice idea but the ending score does not seem to work. I gotta try it again on my home computer, with a better keyboard too. Not too sure about how the audio is meant to work here. Only some words were pronounced. It's actually clever to have put verses and weird names, because it implies to be more aware of the punctuation and orthography of some words.
Apr 23 11:16:43 17m 04s Dungeon Evoker ♥ 3 Very nice entry, although I was a bit lost at first, being on an AZERTY keyboard. The whole challenge is really nice but an explanation on how the player can lose health in game would have been welcomed (I saw after playing it was mentioned here). Really nice entry despite this ; I could imagine a bigger game with this gameplay.
Apr 23 12:02:28 45m 45s BIRD SOUP ♥ 1 Great game ! Fun and addictive, works well in terms of control, has a good gamefeel... Liked it a lot ! Only critic I'd have is that the game is never really explained. It took me several tries to understand it. It's just hard enough to make you want to continue without being either too hard or too easy. And the music slaps !
May 2 09:22:03 213h 19m Harmony Forest ♥ 1 Very good game in my opinion but a bit hard to understand at first. Once I understood how it worked I actually felt engaged in the run. The graphics are nice and the whole concept is interesting and seems relatively well balanced. It's a bit disappointing that there is no sound because it would surely give a good atmosphere with the musical theme of the summons.
May 2 09:49:12 27m 09s Sorcerer's Steps ♥ 1 Glad I pushed through until the blue level, it was nice. A bit hard to grasp the feel of the controls at first but I liked it a lot. I'm fond of the hands made with a photo and homemade voice clips. It's the kind of atmosphere I like to see in this jam.
