Apr 16 05:59:32 Illusions of Grandeur ♥ 1 Really cool game! I loved the way you introduced each new puzzle concept.
Apr 16 06:07:57 8m 25s Indistinguishable From Magic ♥ 2 I loved the minigames!
Apr 16 06:11:19 3m 22s Reverse Rituals ♥ 1 rosebuzz.PNG Number go up, I like.
Apr 16 06:26:25 15m 06s Necrogirl ♥ 3 Love the idea of summoning fighters with different abilities to help you survive. I also love dodging games so this was fun. Some feedback: I think simplifying the controls would help a lot. I would for example put the health and mana buttons a bit closer to WASD.
Apr 16 06:34:34 8m 09s Slimeleon ♥ 2 This has been my favorite game to play so far. I think you nailed the gameplay! I love that there's no extra step to buy you just cast the glyph and it just works. I love that you can die and respawn in your home, I loved conquering all the other little enemy homes. There's a lot of small details you added to make the game smoother to play, like slowing it down while you draw, and all the little effects when you power up your minions. I really liked it man I can see that you put a lot of love and effort into this.
Apr 16 09:21:47 2h 47m Don't Get Summoned! ♥ 2 I really loved the variation of minigames, it felt like I was crunching for a deadline. Loved the psycho guy jumpscare and the geography game. I was a bit confused at the ones where you have to for example write three colors, but once I understood it was a really fun one too and felt like a real task my coworker would ask from me. Also all the small details and jokes were amazing, so much attention to detail! 5/5
Apr 16 10:05:04 43m 17s Farm Fortress ♥ 2 This one took me a while to complete, first had to figure out that only the carrot can damage the ghost, and then figure out all the costs to get to the final level. And then figure out the order for the final level. Such a simple game but so much complexity. I loved it.spel.PNG
Apr 17 07:57:34 21h 52m Pictomancer ♥ 2 it took me way too long to realize I was supposed to put the upgrades on the stumps haha. I might just be slow but that could potentially be shown when hovering over an upgrade item to maybe show some outlines or some indicators over each empty stump. So then you see the information of what the upgrade does as well as where you could put it. Either way 5/5 game, you guys nailed it.
Apr 17 10:32:25 2h 34m Drawn to Summon ♥ 2 unicorn.PNG I did it!! This was fun, carefully moving my mouse through thin hallways is giving me flashbacks to the maze game... But here I got a beautiful unicorn instead. Fun simple but challenging little game!
Apr 17 12:31:41 1h 59m Riot in Hell ♥ 3 This is a really cool concept and I can see where you were going with this! Here's some constructive feedback: - I think you need to ease the player a bit in with the gameplay, because it is very overwhelming at first. To fix this you could for example, at first, only show the shrine card. Let the player see that their faith goes up when they press the pray button. Then once they have enough faith for a unit. Show that unit (like you do with upgrades). When they buy it show the unit go from the card into the battlefield. Then the player understands this creates a unit on the battlefield. After they've bought a couple units say that a wave of enemies is approaching. They watch them fight on the other screen. Then after a couple waves and the player has been introduced to upgrading and more units you could show a building card. - I would also make a clearer visual language of who are the bad guys on the battlefield and who's one of your units, maybe a red outline or red health bar for enemies and green outline for your own guys. Cause its so fun to see them fight off enemies but its hard to distinguish which ones are your own. - Also instead of showing all the attack and damage information and stuff all at once you could for example show it in a popup when hovering over the unit. Since I don't need to know that all the time, and it is quite a lot of information. Also icons instead of abbreviations would be great, like sword for attack, heart for health. But I understand you might not have had time for that. Also there are not clear icons for all the stuff you have. - An icon for the currency would be great too, I saw C and assumed it was cost, but when I pressed it I wasn't sure what I was spending. - Once I understood all the concepts the game was really fun! I think the only problem you have is how you communicate how the game works. You wrote the rules and a tutorial here in the post, and that definitely helped me. But most people will skip that. I really liked your way of doing it with cards and how the game is split in two, I think its a super cool game, I really love this style of game and I hope you keep working on it! I think this has huge potential!!
Apr 17 13:40:25 1h 08m TrollDoom ♥ 3 I really like this idea and it was really fun to see what each spell does. The art is super nice and the first enemies reminded me of a Swedish childrens book/movie called "Ronja Rövardotter" where they had screaming crows and a really creepy nordic forest mythical vibe at times. (which I now realize is what you were going for after reading the description. Mission accomplished!) If you want some constructive feedback: I had a hard time getting used to the mouse resetting when I drew spells and then go back to default attacking and aiming I felt like I had to either focus on spells or just the normal attack. So instead of having a default click attack I think it would be cool if I could click anywhere and the drawing board would be there and I could fill it in, and the default attack would be just not moving the mouse during the drawing phase or something. Cause the drawing was so cool I think it would've been great to combine that with the normal attack somehow. Anyways really cool game, well done!
Apr 18 19:15:37 29h 35m Exorcist Pianist ♥ 1 Very cool idea, original idea executed cleanly, thats what jams are all about! I'm really curious what you would add, if you had more time to make the game. So I'm gona follow you on itch and hopefully see an update after the jam!
Apr 18 19:56:45 41m 08s SummonInn ♥ 1 Great idea, as people have said before, would love to see this be a full game! I would love to see some VFX to visualize dices effect and make it super satisfying. Really cool overall, well done!
Apr 19 06:38:17 10h 41m Oil Creatures ♥ 1 oilgame.PNG I really enjoyed this game. It was fun to try to find a good spawning strategy.
