Jan 13 03:24:33 Harvest ♥ 1 Neat experiment! I’m curious about your interaction with Copilot—the code has a lot of descriptive comments, so I’m guessing the process was mostly write comment -> check generated code -> repeat?
Jan 13 03:31:32 6m 59s Vegetableau ♥ 1 This is terrific! I had to play it just for the title portmanteau, but it’s way more engaging than I expected at a glance—the puzzles are really satisfying. I would spend a *lot* of time playing this if it were on my phone. Music’s really pleasant too: gives me a Stardew Valley vibe. Great work.
Jan 13 03:45:07 13m 35s Propaganda ♥ 1 This is a very strange and charming game—I love the hand-drawn art and the overall concept. It is pretty hard and gets repetitive after a while—introducing some more mechanics over time might have helped—but it’s always hard tuning difficulty for compo games. Nice work!
Jan 14 17:05:26 37h 20m The Harvester ♥ 3 This is impressive! The visuals are terrific—the world looks very Borderlandsy and the illustrations for the organs and character are incredibly detailed. I found the gameplay a little frustrating since it was hard to tell what bits were just flavor text and what were meant to be clues… but maybe the answer is “everything is a clue” and I’m just bad at puzzles 🙂 Nice work.
Jan 14 17:23:20 17m 54s Flowers in C ♥ 1 Short but fun. The animation livened it up a lot, both the trails on the note…star…things and the dancing flowers. It was cool seeing the flowers shift to having their petals drift away—I thought it might be doing a “change of seasons” kind of thing and was interested to see where that went, but then the song ended 😀 Nice work.
Jan 14 17:30:45 7m 25s Down to Earth ♥ 1 This is charming! Great pixel art and I like the basic mechanic, though the balance seems off—I only ever saw one seed packet drop, so almost all of the time I was just shooting zucchini. I did love the game’s note about zucchini doing very little damage, though: that’s true! 😆
Jan 14 18:17:39 46m 54s Seed Gun ♥ 1 I had to play this just for the elegance of the title, and because you’re one of the only other people I’ve seen do something 3D for the compo 🙂 It’s fun—I like the harvesting mechanic, though as a few other people mentioned it might have been helpful to have a way of knowing you’d successfully tagged something for harvesting. Nice work.
Jan 14 19:54:58 1h 37m Reap 6 (2 players) ♥ 1 This is clever! Simple mechanic but surprisingly challenging. Well done.
Jan 14 20:11:31 16m 33s The Bountiful ♥ 1 This is so good! I can’t believe it’s a compo game—must have been an incredible amount of work. So many fun little details, like the screen tint when you [redacted] and the text on the signs at the festival, the way the corn sways as you walk through it… just terrific all round. Bravo.
Jan 14 20:23:21 11m 50s King of the Valley ♥ 1 Fun concept! The lag when moving makes that a little frustrating. It was a good challenge trying to dodge the scorpions. Gameplay-wise it might have been good to provide intermediate goals beyond the main one, as it didn’t feel like there was much reason to go one direction vs. another (except “away from the scorpions”, hah). With the lag fixed I would have played this for quite a while. Nice work.
