| Oct 15 03:35:42 | Artichoke Key | ♥ 2 | I successfully calmed the dog. 😁 I like the style of the dialogue boxes and the detachable vegetable head idea opens up a lot of possibilities! | |
| Oct 15 03:46:42 | 11m 00s | Vastitas Fracturae | ♥ 0 | Great job! I like the narrative and the overall atmosphere. I had a small issue with the camera slowly panning to the side (played the web version). |
| Oct 15 04:40:40 | 53m 58s | The Snooze Button of Continued Existence | ♥ 1 | Funny title, fun game! Very cool idea and smooth mechanics! |
| Oct 15 04:51:44 | 11m 04s | Growth Spurt | ♥ 3 | The idea is great and the mechanics easy to understand. This has to be one of the funniest games of LD51! Music, sounds and graphics gave me a big smile. 😁 |
| Oct 15 05:06:26 | 14m 42s | Spacemine Defense | ♥ 1 | Wow, great entry! Very addictive and it's looking beautiful in late game. |
| Oct 16 13:35:27 | 32h 29m | The Cult of the Ancient One | ♥ 1 | Love the idea and it's very impressive that you did this with a custom engine. I was a bit confused at the beginning but after my small brain finally understood what I had to do, I had a lot of fun with this! |
| Oct 16 13:49:46 | 14m 19s | DiscoNinja | ♥ 1 | Wow, this feels very polished for just a day's work! I'm very bad at rhythm games but I had fun playing this nevertheless. I love the concept of breakdancing ninjas in a synthwave retro world! |
| Oct 16 15:35:40 | 1h 45m | Far. | ♥ 3 | Appreciate the in-game manual - always feels better than an external manual. I like the calming music and the overall atmosphere. The game's easy enough to be understood quickly and the gameplay loop is quite addictive. Would be a nice extra if moving in space would feel different to moving inside the ship (I'm thinking of simplified space physics). The design of the little robot swinging his big wrench around looks cute. Love that. I was using the tether as kind of a compass so that I always knew exactly where I was in the game world. The sound and the animation when picking up ressources are really pleasing. I think it's one of the reasons this is so addictive. I didn't feel like upgrading the solar panels was necessary because the battery was charging quickly from the beginning. I don't know why but somehow I expected the solar panels to get damaged while travelling. My wrench was ready to repair them. :D Are the planets randomized? Took some time until I found some trees (picked the third option most of the time, when available) and then I found a planet full of them. The idea of being able to collect ressources not only on the surface of planets but also in space gives the time you spend away from planet surfaces more meaning and is quite motivating. I played the web version and had a bug where I inadvertently clicked outside of the game window while collecting ressources on a planet and couldn't move the robot after that. I clicked inside the game window but WASD wasn't working anymore. However, I could still throw my wrench around. :D I would've liked to finish the game if that didn't happen. But I might come back and try again with the downloadable version. I still want to see what's in the center of the universe (I travelled to the center of the galaxy in the first version of No Man's Sky btw, so that seems to be the kind of goal that has a big motivational effect on me). ;) Overall this game is a lot of fun! |
| Oct 16 17:26:49 | 1h 51m | Ten-Second Murder | ♥ 1 | "These guys look suspicious - they have custom sprites!" lol :D Fun game with a good idea. I stumbled over a bug on my first run in the web version where I failed to identify the real murderer, but after the restart everyone just stood there without a countdown and no one got murdered. Rest of the game feels very polished. I especially like the sprite work and the smooth music. |
| Oct 16 17:47:53 | 21m 04s | Armillario | ♥ 2 | Great audio and visuals! Original take on the tower defense genre. Easy to grasp even without the instructions. The difficulty ramps up quite fast, but that's just me. I tend to lose quickly in games of this genre. 😁 There were some nodes that were partially hidden behind other nodes, but that didn't stop the fun. It's really impressive how you've managed to create a game that doesn't need any UI. 👏 |
| Oct 16 18:09:52 | 21m 59s | The Shifting Rooms | ♥ 3 | This game is really hard! Sometimes the enemies were hidden behind open doors, that made it even harder. 😁 But I had fun nevertheless. The controls are smooth and I like the office aesthetics and the mysterious story. As a metal head I also appreciate the music. 🤘 Played the download version, web version didn't load for me. |
| Oct 17 17:48:33 | 23h 38m | Trainz | ♥ 1 | Love the funny sounds! The game becomes overwhelming fast. Maybe it would help if you had something like a minimap or a fast zoom out option so it's easier "keeping track". 😁 Nevertheless it's also possible to get a good score with a bit of practice. I like trains and I had fun playing it. 👍 |
| Oct 17 18:04:23 | 15m 50s | Soul Reaper | ♥ 2 | The web version on ldjam.com didn't load for me, but the web version at itch.io did. 👍 It's an impressive game considering it was made in this short time. I like the idea and the mood. The music is good too. The movement (drifting) was confusing at first, but with a little practice, I found it quite fun - it's a bit like skating on ice with a flaming sword in your hand. 😁 |
| Oct 18 01:06:50 | 7h 02m | Radioactive Rocket Fuel | ♥ 2 | I like the thruster controls. It's reminding me of some (retro) games I used to play. The concept is cool, although I had difficulties finding planets in time. The parallax stars background is such a simple and beautiful idea. Love it! 👍 |
| Oct 19 21:29:56 | 44h 23m | TicTacCat | ♥ 1 | Beautiful graphics and great mood! I instinctively first clicked on the cards instead of dragging them, and I was a bit confused at times because I didn't figure out what some cards do (i. e. the ghost card), but the game's fun nevertheless. 👍 |
| Oct 19 21:38:49 | 8m 53s | Auto Parker | ♥ 2 | Wow, great idea and plays really well! It's pretty tough at the start, but with a bit of practice it gets easier. I also like the graphics and sounds. 👍 |
| Oct 19 21:52:13 | 13m 24s | Stoked | ♥ 1 | I had problems with the player window being too big (I only have 1920x1080 monitors). I scrolled to the lower left part of the player so I could play the game. It was fun nevertheless, and I like the overall mood and the audio! :) |
| Oct 20 18:09:23 | 20h 17m | DIMENSION LOOP 2 | ♥ 1 | Starts out simple, becomes harder later on. I like it! Music is good too. Loved it when the ball bounced from one target to the next while the level was switching. One time it hit three goals in a row without me needing to interfere. Very satisfying. 😁 |
