Apr 7 13:51:11 WHEN NANA SAYS IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL ♥ 4 Extremely creative and enjoyable game! I initially thought it was gonna be a bit of a chore but man, I got so immersed in it all! I was constantly rushing around my room to find things to stall my grandma and speed-reading txt files like never before. It felt almost real. Excellent entry! Top marks!
Apr 7 14:43:34 52m 23s VargaVinter ♥ 5 Great atmosphere as a result of killer audio and visuals, paired with tight mechanics and a high level of polish. I know to expect this from you but I'm still very happy to see it! Fantastic work <3 To organize a team effort like this really shows that you had a great plan. More plan!
Apr 7 14:50:43 7m 09s Gaia ♥ 2 Absolutely freakin hilarious! I loved it. Sure, the gameplay is simple but I'm a sucker for narrative and I laughed out loud multiple times. It's always a good sign when a game makes you think, "I would have loved to work on this". Great game; and not just for a compo entry. Fantastic!
Apr 7 14:52:20 1m 37s Rapid Cleanup ♥ 1 I didn't know sheep had beef with rabbits :P The jump mechanic was satisfying as hell and running forward only to jump backwards onto a ledge was *chefs kiss*. Great Entry!
Apr 7 14:54:04 1m 44s Venting Machine ♥ 2 Yo, I'm about to break my space bar. Good thing I have 2 keyboards :D I only got into triple digits; not sure if 1000+ is possible but I didn't manage it. Fun concept and wonderful execution, considering you did it all yourself! Impressive!
Apr 7 14:55:01 57s 5 More Minutes ♥ 1 What an anxiety inducing experience that quickly became 😅 . Wonderfully thought through concept and super fun gameplay loop, even if the game does stare back at me like a mirror... Great job!
Apr 7 14:56:16 1m 15s Highrail to hell ♥ 2 Change your name to "goodpiggy" because that's what I want to tell you! The movement was tight and fun, the tension was thick as the air in a smoker's bedroom when going from exit to exit and the audio was tastefully applied. Wonderful entry!
Apr 7 14:56:55 39s They Are Coming ♥ 3 After adjusting the mouse sensitivity (thank you so much for the option), the game feels great to play! I am beyond impressed by the visuals; kudos to the artists! I also like that the game gives you health and power pickups as well as multiple enemies for some variety! Very good entry!
Apr 7 14:57:50 55s Running Late ♥ 2 I LOVE the amount of narrative in here. I love the different options you have and I love the humor written into every piece of dialogue. Fantastic entry and a creative use of the theme!
Apr 7 14:59:47 1m 57s Udder Chaos ♥ 3 Boy, you really have to moove fast to avoid those massive UFO's. I don't know cow those other bovines survived as long as they did, considering they were tipped. Fun game and great use of the theme!
Apr 7 15:46:53 47m 06s Fresh From The Oven ♥ 3 This is the second game I have played featuring an angry grandma this jam. Only here, grandma is like, "You can catch *these* hands" .. fun entry!
Apr 7 16:02:32 15m 39s Ball Boy's Cool Party ♥ 2 There are few games that get me giddy with enthusiasm but this is one of them. A lot of neat animation, a god damn CONTEXT-SENSITIVE dialogue tree 👀 and really good writing. I loved it! High marks all around! If you need voice work for a post-jam version or future LDs, hit me up :) I do some casting and could probably get a couple of pro voice actors in on this!
Apr 7 16:12:35 10m 03s Forest ♥ 1 I understand this was made in your own engine? neat! That's not a claim to fame that many in LD have 😸 I'd hate to state the obvious but; I thought the use of music/sound combined with the dim, moody visuals make for a great and immersive atmosphere! Very tasteful ;)
Apr 7 16:39:43 27m 08s Pots of Problems ♥ 4 This might be the best looking game I have seen in the jam; easy 5 stars. Buy your artists some pizza!
Apr 7 16:47:54 8m 11s What Have You Drawn? ♥ 5 Scribble Art is the best art! I have always wanted to make a game with hand drawn scribbles :P
Apr 8 16:27:07 23h 39m Aster Defense ♥ 4 There is always something satisfying about building up more and more defenses in games. It tickles the inner part of my monkey brain 🐒 The visuals are wonderful (especially zoomed in 👀) and the audio is tastefully applied 👌 💋 Great entry!
Apr 8 16:57:04 29m 57s Message in a Bottle ♥ 2 I couldn't help myself. I wrote a terrible recipe for pancakes and if somebody sees it and wants to make it, I will personally paypal you the money to do so 😄 I love the bottle mechanic. It adds a lot of fun to the game!
Apr 8 17:10:10 13m 06s Carrot ♥ 2 The visuals are stunning, even beyond the thought that this was made in 48 hours by a single person who did everything else as well. Extremely well done! The music, art and theme of the game are all nicely suited for each other too, which I appreciate. Super well done!
Apr 8 17:18:23 8m 13s Tower of cards ♥ 1 Yo, what a great game! The setting, visuals, social commentary and everything else just goes so well together, paired with a dismal music track and sound effects that complement it perfectly. Top marks! To think this was made solo in 48 hours is crazy to me.
Apr 9 09:23:05 16h 04m ESCAPE VELOCITY ♥ 3 I saw "Escape Velocity" and wondered if it had a connection to the classic Ambrosia games, so of course I had to try it. I am glad I did! The music is **out of this world** and the visuals are **stellar**. I really enjoyed it 😄
Apr 9 21:58:29 12h 35m Good Boy eats the treat. ♥ 2 Wow. What an extremely well designed game. I don't even know if it was intentional but everything works so extremely well together. The further ahead you are, the more difficult it is to react to oncoming obstacles, which puts you further back. However, the further back you fall behind, the more space you have to react and get ahead again! Straight up GENIUS game design. Self-regulating difficulty that happens completely naturally. If it really was intentional and you set out to create the game with that in mind, I applaud you 👏 I have played games in a similar vein to this but they never felt that fair and often, once you are behind, you stay behind because that's just how it is. The fixed view of your game created the auto-balanced difficulty which I find to be super awesome. Anyway, I'm gonna stop gushing about it. I just find it neat. It's rare that LD games get me so excited about design, because it tends to be the last thing people think about when trying to rush a game. High marks all around!
Apr 21 07:02:04 273h 03m Perseverance ♥ 1 Hey! Told you I'd review 😄 Anywho, first off; I really appreciate that you went for more of a narrative game. I always do narrative design for the projects I work on, as well as casting direction etc. It's nice to see other games go down a similar path! On the note of casting direction, if you are in need of voice actors for a future, similar project, let me know! My pro voice actors are always down for jams! Right, back to Perseverance. The visuals are largely quite pleasant, though I did find the text a little hard to read at times and with no control over how quickly it passed, I missed a couple of words here and there. Art direction is very pretty, though! Sounds are simple but effective. The best kind of sound design is that which doesn't get distracting and yours blends nicely!
