Oct 5 02:42:09 Happy Glasses ♥ 2 I think this is a solid basis for a puzzle game, like Where's my Water. I thought few things that I would consider adding. I think it would benefit from some acceleration and momentum to the cup; this might make it more challenging, but would make interacting with it feel much better. Also, I wasn't sure if I was completing the puzzles successfully at first! I didn't notice the UI until the third level. I also like to know how many levels I have left when I'm playing puzzle games for Ludum Dare, it often helps me play longer to know I'm only stuck on the last level! As for the music, I felt like some of the bass tones cut out just as they were beginning, but music is a challenge for me.
Oct 5 02:57:07 14m 58s Finding Balance ♥ 2 I think the concept is clever, but I couldn't get past the second level. Maybe I'm just dense but I felt like I couldn't figure out the controls. Am I supposed to be able to interact with the box? The particle effect is a little thing but really contributed to the mood and I like it.
Oct 5 03:12:32 15m 25s Baserackcanball ♥ 1 The sound, graphics, and effects are really excellent and make smacking that can so satisfying. Like others, I struggled a bit with the controls- my fingers were cramped and it took me a while to wrap my head around which button was for the racket and which one was for the bat. Learning the way the game works was fun, although I feel like there are still some mysteries for me to figure out if I wasn't so poor at playing!
Oct 5 03:39:10 26m 38s Frogmented World ♥ 1 Don't worry about the theme not fitting enough, this was really clever and fun! I think the levels were really well designed to show off the mechanic, and the way you introduced it was perfect. I finished the game and I was looking forward to more but satisfied with what I played, which is perfect for a jam!
Oct 5 03:47:18 8m 08s Watch my nucleus ♥ 2 This was a great idea, and I enjoyed the story wrapped around it. Things fell apart really fast for me! I found it difficult to grab the smallest particles, but I held out for a while! Well executed and really fit the theme.
Oct 5 04:23:31 36m 13s Hazmat Magic ♥ 1 finished.png This was great! I really loved the character animation and the puzzles were the perfect level of difficulty for me. The level @soul-grinder got stuck on stumped me for a minute but I got it after wondering why some of the clues were there... The character control felt great and the level humor reminded me of Portal. I'd really like to see the game expanded on and I'm glad I played it. Thanks for sharing your game!
Oct 6 04:04:49 23h 41m Server Preserver ♥ 1 This was delightfully silly! I don't have a lot of feedback because the execution was excellent. I enjoyed the interpretation of the theme and found it really visually appealing. The object hunting was fun and it became challenging quickly!
Oct 6 04:18:45 13m 56s Stability Failing ♥ 1 I always look for other Pico-8 games! This was a cool take on the theme. I only made it to level 8 but I liked where things were going! The jumping felt good and being able to manipulate the speed of the platforms was helpful and added some strategy. I enjoyed your use of the glyphs for simple graphics.
Oct 8 04:17:39 47h 58m Toby Kangaroo ♥ 2 This was a great idea, I find it hilarious and you pulled it off well. A good parody of the Tony Hawk games. I immediately tried doing flips, so I agree, you have to add that at some point! I liked the music and the whole presentation, really well put together. Now I'm laughing at the idea of fully 3D version of this, bouncing around a skatepark on a pogo stick.
Oct 8 04:38:51 21m 12s Unlevel ♥ 2 This is one of my favorites I've played so far! It's an inventive idea with enough levels to explore the concept. Nice and clean art with pleasing level transitions. I don't have much feedback other than some music and extra audio feedback would really help. Great game.
Oct 8 04:56:50 17m 59s SCANLINE ♥ 1 Cool interpretation of sokoban and the theme! I really liked the music, it fit the thinking required for you puzzles perfectly. Really polished and clever use of limitations.
