Apr 21 17:04:28 Orbshot ♥ 2 Overall, the controls feel pretty great, and it's pretty fun to just move around in the world. The biggest issue I feel is the lack of other mechanics to go along with those great controls. The levels feel rather bland, which is understandable for something made so fast, but it's unfortunate since I think more could have been done with the energy meter. I sort of forgot about it while playing. Perhaps items that affect the energy meter (like enemies that drain it, or usable items that drain it) would make things more interesting. Also, maybe making the meter directly affect gameplay even if it's not fully drained. Something like making you slower when it's low could give it more presence.
Apr 22 22:13:10 29h 08m DJ Hamster ♥ 1 Wonderful little game. One of my favourite interpretations of the theme so far. It turned out surprisingly fun to keep the disk spinning at the right speed, and the songs were a good motivation to keep going! The only thing I don't understand is why the gold speed window changes so much when you touch the negative item thingy. It feels weird to be listening to the song at 100% speed, then have to make it slow down or speed up and sound weird. Also, the later stages didn't really feel harder. I didn't notice them getting faster, which I think would have been a more effective way to ramp up difficulty than making the speed window smaller. Anyways, I really loved this one, very unique and +1 for cute hamster.
Apr 24 00:03:15 25h 50m Me: Tree! ♥ 1 Pretty interesting take on the concept. I found that the tree ended up either generating energy really fast and eating water really fast, or after the leaves died, the water generated really fast and energy generated really slowly. I think that really rapid change of state makes it really easy to start doing really well, just to have it all taken away for seemingly no reason. Anyways, I like the idea and I think with some more balancing, and perhaps a bit more interesting gameplay underground for getting the water, you could have a pretty fun sort of idle game, for the types that enjoy them. Just as a quick idea, maybe you would be forced to micro-manage the flow of the water too, so the bigger the tree was, the more of your attention it'd take, and there'd be a more engaging aspect to the gameplay.
Apr 24 00:20:32 17m 17s The Storm ♥ 1 I really like the graphics and overall artstyle of the game. As for gameplay, I don't know if I didn't get something but it seems I can only pretty much spam the two attacks and move after the things that don't die to them. It doesn't really feel like I got better at the game at all from my first round to my latest one, since it feels like there wasn't much I could have really done better. Overall, the gameplay didn't really keep me interested, but the presentation was pretty awesome! Best of luck, and I'd like to hear whatever you got done of that song too!
Apr 24 00:36:54 16m 22s Save The Cake ♥ 1 Very nice and addicting gameplay loop, and the soundtrack never gets old. I would type more but I think my finger is dying.
Apr 24 00:58:52 21m 58s Dance n' Die ♥ 1 Nice concept overall, and the gameplay loop is pretty fun. My biggest issue is how quickly the difficulty ramps up. Whatever I do, I can't seem to be able to go further than placing a few traps and clicking on enemies a few times. I see someone mentioned Necrodancer, and I sorta like the idea that maybe clicking to the beat would deal more damage, but that would only really work if the monsters only move to the beat, which doesn't seem to be the kind of game you were going for. Personally, I like the more puzzley aspect of having to think a bit before you decide what to click on, just unfortunate that I can't get very far, haha.
Apr 24 01:23:24 24m 32s tyle ♥ 1 The game looks very pretty, and seems like people have said exactly what I was going to say about the cursor spinning! I guess it would feel more natural to have the circle fully filled up when you can click, then just have a small window to click around that, since right now it just feels weird that the cursor isn't full but you're able to click. I also didn't really feel a difference between the pink and green tiles. My first instinct was that maybe the pink ones would need to be double clicked, but until I read what they actually did, I didn't feel any sort of difference between them and green tiles. Last thing, the music, although pretty fitting, doesn't really have a beat, so it's hard to get into a rhythm of clicking. I think it'd be much more enjoyable if the song had a clearer beat and was less ambient. Overall, I had a good amount of fun playing this one, and I really love that minimalist style, well done!
May 12 17:16:15 447h 52m Feed da Boss! ♥ 1 Honestly the best game I've played so far in terms of humor and mood. Everything just fits together so perfectly. Because of the pretty basic gameplay, I don't think I could keep on playing for long, but this is definitely made a far more memorable experience thanks to the the music and visuals. They're just perfect. You guys definitely have something going, if you ever have more time to work on a bigger game, do it! You've nailed the presentation, and with the right gameplay I think you could have something great. Keep up the good work!
