It's a really neat idea though and with some polish could feel good to play, there were a few 1 second clenchers there. One thing I might change is to reduce the time between levels, I wanna move as fast as I can in the game!

As far as feedback, I think poise should regenerate a little quicker, and maybe fill up immediately outside of combat. This will allow you to shield more often but for shorter times, and not just be out of luck once it stops

The random generation is pretty cool though. Also, your sword's durability doesn't reset on death. Cool game though! I love roguelikes, and the art style is cute

Oh and, it's a little annoying to have to take my hands off the keyboard to select something on the UI, then place both of them back on the keyboard to play

Overall the biggest thing I think to add to the game is 'juice', add some screenshake and more particles etc. A good place that needs particles is when you do damage to the boss, but not kill it. Great job overall!

It's hard but not impossible (as NES games are), and the graphics are beautiful, seriously great job. My only feedback is that there should be some sort of animation when you successfully hit something, because at first it was hard to tell if my punches were doing damage. Great stuff!! - For those going to play, make sure you read the readme!

I think you should be penalized for staying still like "Time is money!", so you can't stand still and go slow to maximize, but then running and making money should be easier and balanced out. Cool game!

One other thing is that I think that camera should be closer to the character, because the character was very often near the edge of my screen

I liked the progression idea of spending health to get a higher max health, and then some upgrades costing more health than your current max so you need to upgrade etc. I think adding more bass to the sound effects would really give the bullets more punch!

I don't have much actual critical feedback, other than I think more content would be pretty cool, like more things to dodge and more ways to impact the environment. Cool stuff though!

I do however think the game would have benefited a lot from a simple "doom-like" soundtrack, because it has that style of gameplay, however of course under the time constraints it would have been hard to pull that off when you work on a game that looks this good. The game was also a little easy, but this is a fix that would be had if the full game came out later! The base game you built here is really cool and could definitely be expanded upon. P.s. I did fall off the map on the 3rd world and had no way to get up (but killing all the enemies with mouse2 was a pretty funny experience) Great job!
