Dec 4 12:16:05 Sacrifications ♥ 3 you win.png I did it! It took me about 1 hour to beat it and it sure felt rewarding to do so. I few cool things that I noticed. I'm not sure if you did this intentionally but it was cool either way: * You can use daggers as traps to gang up pope hats and kite them * You can sometimes knock enemies vertically with the dagger if they bounce/hit walls. * The slice + implode mechanic had a very "cool guys don't look at explosion" feel, I like it! What I like to see in case you're creating a post-jam version: * It would be nice with a speed runner mode, i.e. with a timer * Only do double jumps on "button down" instead of "button hold", I sometimes died because I held it too long * To make the playthrough quicker, maybe the slice animation should be non-blocking * A downloadable version where you can use a gamepad? :D The only bug I experienced was when once when I held input right before restarting the game AND holding down a button (at the LOSER screen). That gave me constant jump input on the next round. But it only happened once in like fifty games. Great work!
Dec 4 13:27:44 1h 11m Soul Clicker ♥ 3 I found it very satisfying to synchronize the beats of the song with the clicking. I wish the track would loop! :) I'm still saving up for the last unlock as we speak and it keeps me curious to what it will be like. :) Nice work!! Update: OK I unlocked it :D Great ending, suits the theme.
Dec 4 14:07:37 39m 53s Sacrifice ♥ 1 Finished it! Well done. I like the atmosphere and that you included both a menu/intro and a fighting scene. Great move to show of the model in the main menu by the way, looks cool with that pose so it caught my eye.
Dec 4 14:25:28 17m 51s Damn Grinches ♥ 1 Very thorough tutorial in the beginning, I think that's a thing that can be overlooked in game jams. Nice work! :) That also goes for the menu which has been properly implemented. I found a bug that stopped me from being able to play, it gets stuck when a grinch explodes. It is most likely to happen when it tries to steal gifts, so maybe some kind of state variable in the collider callback? Hmm I bet it's the grinches fault, damn grinches! Let me know if you've fixed it and I'll try again. :)
Dec 4 18:33:26 4h 07m Total Flight ♥ 0 This seems like an interesting game! However, I can't figure out how to play it. After I've pressed play, all I can do is move the view around. I'm using Windows 10. Looks like this: flight.png Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong and I'll try again! :)
Dec 4 19:04:10 30m 44s Meuhi the cow ♥ 0 I wasn't able to finish it. It was like I was stuck in a loop when moving between rooms. Am I suppose to do something differently? I really like the idea with changes that permanently alters the character, that absolutely nailed the theme. Also funny how you incorporated that with Black Knight references. ;D At one point, I found myself both blind, one lost less and without the ability to move left. Life was hard (in a fun way ;D). Please let me know if I was doing something wrong or if some bug fixes are necessary and I'll play it again so I can finish it. :) Great work!
Dec 4 19:41:02 36m 52s Canyon Gods ♥ 2 Great work on putting this together so neatly, you got menus a tutorial and everything works smoothly, nice! :) The graphics and artwork looks very nice and feels very synchronized with the idea! I see that I have to find the right formula to build a new type of building before the gods get impatient. I wish a little that it went faster, and that I could fail quicker and restart the round. I have played it about 20 - 30 minutes but still no progress.. Do you have any balance changes or any ideas around these thoughts? :) Let me know and I'll play again. By the way. I believe the music game object gets recreated when you start a new round, so I'm getting an echo.
Dec 4 20:13:47 32m 45s Drained ♥ 2 Aaah, I got scared at every encounter. Well done, well done. When you're constantly trying to find stuff and monsters pops up it really catches you off guard. ;_; Our game has the same atmosphere as yours, that's why yours caught my eye. :D I'm jealous on how large of a level you managed to do and the gameplay possibilities. I liked the pixelated shader you used, it really contributed to the atmosphere. 👍 Great work!
Dec 6 13:24:33 41h 10m Path to Redemption ♥ 3 I did it! Path to redemption.png I took me around 20 minutes I think. * Nice that you put together a full game (levels, menu, game win state) * I really like the spinning polyhedron in the middle! * Very nice that you put gates with locks for every finished level. It gave me a sense of progression and made it easier to find the next level. Also, nice touch on that person standing behind the gates. :D * My favorite level was the one with the spinning obstacles, it was hard to beat first, but it came to enjoy it after I'd played it 10 times. * I wish that the music would have looped, it kept the game flow up with a nice tempo. * As a fellow Unity developer, I can recommend raising the Input gravity for the Horizontal/Vertical axes to ~15 - 20, that will make the movement less floaty, since it's so important with precise input in this type of game. Great work!
Dec 6 14:28:38 1h 04m Sacrifice Yourself ♥ 0 Nice work on creating a game! :) I did not beat it, but maybe it's endless? :D I enjoyed combining the small enemies and move backwards while killing them. I played it for 20 minutes and my record was Level 2 - 142 exp. Is that good? :D
Dec 8 12:03:37 45h 34m Reap what you sow ♥ 1 Great work! I have played two rounds so far, took me about 30 minutes. When I saw birds in the distance I sacrificed too much of the crops to the bear god and in the end I only had 49 crops ;_; But I had fun :D A few thoughts I had when I played it: * Cool PS1 graphics! * I starved to death on my first playthrough, but that sure make the next round a lot more rewarding * I like how you actually eat the crops each morning, it puts some pressure on you * I can't sleep with my scythe next to me!? Preposterous! ;D * Fun sounds :D It must have been hard to come up with a sound for "putting seeds into the ground"? * Nice touch to incorporate your Twitch identity/nick in the game :) Here's a picture of me and my beautiful crops :D crops.png
