Aug 15 07:13:48 DoorsOS - RAM Simulator ♥ 1 Damn, no time to relax! I really liked the ads, very realistic! I really want my nose to grow longer. The music was also strangely hypnotising. Too bad there is nothing more to do than clicking like a madman. Well done!
Aug 15 07:28:31 14m 43s Get Comfortable ♥ 0 Very cute! I really like the attention of detail. There seems to be a name for everything (touching elbows?!?!). The graphics are nice, and the music at the end just finishes it off. It really feels finished. Well done!
Aug 15 07:40:59 12m 28s Stuck! ♥ 1 Very slick and detailed! Polished graphics, very nice music, cool little details (handles, voices, lighting-FX) and a nice presentation! Too bad I could not finish the first level, I just couldn't get past the first row of people. Well done!
Aug 15 08:54:44 1h 13m TINY TOWNS ♥ 0 Very impressive! Really nice puzzles which make you feel smart when you complete them. Graphics are simple but effective. Nothing bad to say really!
Aug 15 10:12:37 1h 17m blobbert. ♥ 0 Well done! Fun puzzles, and it guides you slowly into the game mechanics. The art is also very cute. The moving could be a bit faster, and the colour coding was unclear to me. It would have been nice if the game started with 2 colours, and then slowly added more to let the player know what they mean. Overall niceluy done!
Aug 15 10:34:02 21m 25s Faster than space ♥ 1 Well done! Very comprehensive, but that's where it shows its weaknesses. The UI is confusing which makes it very hard to tell how you are doing. Technically very impressive, but the execution needs a lot of work. Also, it is a bit too similar to FTL (concept and music). Congrats on finishing a game!
Aug 15 14:40:18 4h 06m Pace ♥ 0 Well done! Controls are very responsive, art is simple but nice, and I really like the music! Too bad that sometimes when standing on a corner jump did not work, which led to my death a couple of times. I agree with roberth that it would be nice to be able skip the intro, so you can try multiple times in quick succesion. Good job overall!
Aug 15 15:13:32 33m 14s TokyoPush!!! ♥ 0 It is really hard to rate this game for me. After downloading the LOVE engine I tried to find out where to find the conf.lua file. After I while I found out I had to open the .love file in a code editor. But when I changed the resolution to something smaller it changed back to 1920x1080 when opening the game. That doesn't fit on my screen so I have no clue if I missed something while in game. I think so because I had no idea what I was doing while playing the game. So my tip for you two: please make it easier to run the game next time, it will make sure that you'll get a lot more ratings. After all this negativity: congrats on finishing a game for Ludum Dare!!!
Aug 15 15:39:27 25m 55s Dear Leader's Diet Plan ♥ 1 Nice game! Had to figure out what to do the first couple of rounds, and I still don't exactly know if I'm doing it right. But the bouncing felt nice, especially in combinations with the sound effects. The presentation is really slick. Also, kudos for the metal soundtrack! Well done!
Aug 15 18:30:11 2h 50m Tin Can Invasion ♥ 1 Congrats on finishing a game! I really enjoyed playing this. Despite not being a technical marvel I had a lot of fun, and that is what counts! I do agree with the points @fingamer comes up with. It would be nice if the player character was a bit more responsive to the input. Also a score counter in-game would be nice. Overall well done!!
Aug 15 18:38:25 8m 14s Nether Flood ♥ 1 Very fun game! The visuals are simple but really striking. The visual and auditive kick when dashing was amazing! The gameplay was simple but needed some strategy in later levels, which was surprisingly entertaining. The only critique I have is that the controlling of the spaceship is a bit too sensitive. I was constantly missing the reality fragments. It would be nice if the hit-box was bigger or the spaceship moved slower. Very good entry overall!!!
Aug 15 18:56:47 18m 22s Eblobla ♥ 2 Nice game! In the beginning, I was struggling to find out what to do exactly, but after one game I (think I've) got it. Then it got a bit too easy, but like previous people said, balancing takes a lot of time which you don't have in a game jam. Overall a very solid and complete entry, well done!
Aug 15 19:08:17 11m 30s All The Things! ♥ 1 I really wanted to play this but sadly it did not work on my system. It might be a Mac thing? This is what it looks like: Screen Shot 2018-08-15 at 21.04.55.png So, unfortunately, I cannot give you a rating.
Aug 15 19:22:41 14m 24s Roops ♥ 1 Nice game! The tutorial is perfect! Explained really well what to do. The music is catchy, and the SFX really helps in telling if a car is ready to leave. Graphics are simple but effective. The only downside is that I couldn't tell when I would lose (when the queue was more than 3 cars?). Well done!!
Aug 17 17:56:58 46h 34m Super Responsible Parent ♥ 1 This game is awesome! Cute and coherent art style, funny voiceovers, a lot of little details, tight controls and fun gameplay. Nice that the gameplay concepts are introduced one by one, and the difficulty level is increasing very gradually. I really cannot say anything bad about this. Also, I think that this game is very appropriate for speedruns :) Well done!!
Aug 17 18:08:57 11m 59s CLAMPRESSOR File Archiver ♥ 1 Nice entry! Very original main menu (angry guy screaming to right 😄). I am not a big fan of match-3 games, but this one got me hooked for a while. It feels very nice to clean up the playing board and have some more space to breathe. Graphics are simple but effective, and the music is cool but a bit repetitive after a while. Overall a very nice game!
Aug 17 18:46:32 37m 35s The Red pixel ♥ 1 Nice entry! Very minimalistic but a lot of fun! It would've been nice if the jump button was (also) somewhere else on the keyboard because my fingers get really cramped using the arrow keys for all the movement. Space would've been fine. Overall a very nice game!
Aug 17 20:36:18 1h 49m Space Time ♥ 1 Nice entry! This one is hard to rate. First of all the music and the visual effects are really cool! But meanwhile, the controls and limited screen space make it really hard to play. But that's also where its magic is. It feels very claustrophobic which fits the theme really well. So it needs some work but it is also very well done! haha
Aug 17 20:46:29 10m 11s CLAUSTRO ♥ 1 Very nice entry! Really atmospheric and cold(?). The presentation is top-notch, everything blends together really well. I was not sure what to do with the positive words, so maybe a little bit of a tutorial would be nice I guess 🙂. Overall a very interesting and original game!
Aug 17 20:53:51 7m 22s Void Knight vs PEST ♥ 1 Very good entry! The hand-drawn visuals really give it life. It almost has a nightmarish feel about it. The gameplay is pretty basic but also pretty fun! The controls and concept are easy to understand, too bad the game doesn't really expand its mechanics. Also I am suspecting that the collision is not alway working, it felt that I went through the enemies sometimes. Overall a very complete and beautiful game!
Aug 17 21:15:54 22m 03s Greedy Guts ♥ 1 Cool looking game! The low poly models are really nice! It would be nice if the controls for up and down are inverted (or there is an option to switch it). The music is insane (in a positive way)! There isn't really a build up in difficulty, it just goes up and down, so that might be a small improvement. Overall a very polished and fun game!
Aug 17 23:12:41 1h 56m CheatDay ♥ 0 This is awesome!!! Really love the hand-drawn visuals and the animation, and let's not forget the audio! It's absurd and that's why I love it. I had to close the game and read the comments before I learned how to poop (this sounds really weird). But after that, I had a lot of fun dodging the ghost and making sure that I had enough time to pour gastric juice on a fried egg in a pan. What I'm trying to say is: overall an awesome game, I can't wait to play the next game!
Aug 20 10:24:36 59h 11m ClapBang ♥ 1 Hey Arron! Your message came as a pleasant surprise! I'm glad I could help you out at the time. It was a small gesture from my side which had a slightly bigger impact than I thought. A little can go a long way, right? I hope your faith in humanity is restored, even if it's just for a little bit. But with all these great people in the Ludum Dare community, you just know there still are people that are humble, honest and treat others with respect. Thank you for your kind words! Of course, I also played your game: The premise of this game is really good! There are clear rules and mechanics. But it was a bit unclear how I was doing. I've seen that you didn't have the time to implement health bars and a reloading indicator, that's fair since LD is a race against the clock, but it would make this massively more playable. The visuals are simple but effective, although it would be nice if the power-ups would stand out more. Maybe with a little glowing ring around them or something. I do like that everything is made out of cubes, it gives it a distinct style! The A.I. is very impressive, especially for a compo game! The other robot outsmarted me a couple of times but after a couple of playthroughs, I kinda knew how to deal with him. Overall a very good entry, which could get a lot better with some small additions. Great work!
