Aug 1 05:04:37 Mountaintop Groovy Robot Laser Battle ♥ 1 Good points for innovation, but not very intuitive unfortunately. I didn't have much of a clue what the "beat" was and couldn't get a good rhythm going, and I beat Thumper so rhythm games aren't new to me. In games like this, you need strong visual cues to create anticipation, e.g. have certain visual elements react to the beat or in sync to increase the density of information communicated to the player, since audio cues are often hard to recognize if they are not distinct, like a drum you can easily pick out of the song. The art is nice but you could done something more interesting with the palette imo, looks a bit washed out and bland!
Aug 1 05:52:20 47m 43s Salvage! ♥ 2 Good potential but some glaring balance issues, e.g. weapons deplete too quickly for how uncommon they are. Picking up ship parts makes you slightly too heavy I feel like. I can see what you were going for but I think it shouldn't change gravity as much and instead change the player's mass so that your thruster have less of an effect.
Aug 1 06:29:24 37m 04s Behind Enemy Lines ♥ 2 The soldiers are really funny to me (not in a bad way) due to the way they are modeled and coupled with the wacky physics. Stiff control that aren't very satisfying, could have been a nice little game with just more polish in general in all areas. Cool use of the theme. Needs more juicing as presented in this talk [](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy0aCDmgnxg)
Aug 1 18:15:46 11h 46m Deep Space Burrito ♥ 1 Not much to play here but the graphics are insane and very intricate. I enjoyed microwaving some burritos. Some sound effects would have made it quite a bit more interesting I think.
Aug 1 18:27:53 12m 07s Everust ♥ 1 The pixel art textures and the meshes are quite nice, I've always loved 3D with pixel art textures. The mood is quite nice and it has a really bleak desolate feel to it. Not much direction unfortunately to point you in the right direction, and it's difficult to orient yourself because everything looks pretty much the same.
Aug 1 18:36:04 8m 11s Plasma Arena ♥ 2 2 things kept me from playing it unfortunately.. - Crashes not long after I start shooting - Mouse movement is very very slow Shame because I'm a BIG Devil Daggers fan with a 700+ seconds pb! Also I instantly recognized you since you showed your grappling hook thing on /r/devildaggers :P edit: I'm on windows
Aug 1 20:24:15 1h 48m Zero Volt X ♥ 0 A resource management shmup, very clever and fun. Graphics are top notch as always. Music didn't fit too much compared to your other games, and more sound effects would have been nice.
Aug 2 17:20:46 20h 56m Wayside : A world awaits you ♥ 0 Physics felt really weird for this type of game, the character and its hitbox were far too big as well. Music was very repetitive, I think it would have been more worth your time to make and polish really nice sound effects. Levels were too drawn out with no new gameplay elemens to spice it up. also the whole thing appears to be pixel art but the player character doesn't look like it so there's a clash between the two styles there.
Aug 2 17:42:38 21m 52s Plagued Station ♥ 2 Very clean little game. Doesn't try to be too ambitious and succeeds at what it sets out to be. Unfortunately, I feel like too many mechanics were quickly introduced and never used in conjunction. For example, combat is barely used throughout, the moving platforms are only ever used in one area, blocks you can break are only seen in one area as well. The air vents were ok, sprinkled throughout forcing you to backtrack a bit once you've enabled them. The power/electricity mechanic was cool at first but became old rather quickly when I had to keep going back to step on the pressure pad. Graphics were very nice and the color palette sets the mood really well.
Aug 2 21:14:30 3h 31m Walking out of Power ♥ 1 If you are planning on playing this game, it will be a productive use of your time to learn how to use Cheat Engine to freeze your power meter to max. Sorry but there was no way in hell I was going to spend 40 minutes of stop and go gameplay to reach some toilet. Even with a frozen meter, it still took a damn long time. I was hoping for a big payoff at the end but I can only imagine that the developers expected that anyone would be crazy enough to play for long enough reach the damn toilet considering it doesn't even have collisions enabled. Big shame because the art, mood, and music is all incredible. I was hoping for a very cool psychological and mind bending game at the start based on those elements, but instead all I got was a walking simulator and disappointment. I guess the game is a metaphor to how I feel every morning waking up and having to reach the bathroom before leaving for school...
