| May 12 15:22:35 | Space World | ♥ 0 | Nice graphics! The game is pretty challenging, the best I could do was to consume 3 humans. | |
| May 12 15:31:08 | 8m 33s | Slimes in Panic | ♥ 0 | I think this could have been a really cool game. Strategy is a tough way to go for a jam, kudos to you for even attempting it. Are you considering finishing post compo? |
| May 12 15:44:05 | 12m 57s | WIP: World In Progress | ♥ 1 | Visually awesome! The overall vibe really reminded me of the hyperspace sequences of Star Control 2. Really nice work. As I'm sure you know, the mouse control on the web version is bugged, which is unfortunate. But overall I think this is a pretty stellar effort. |
| May 12 15:57:48 | 13m 43s | The Aliens | ♥ 0 | Great work! I'm amazed at the quality for a compo game. The audio gets a little repetitive after a while, but it fits the mood of the game perfectly. I was able to fly backwards down through the earth and outrun all the aliens while my height kept ticking up, but playing the game correctly was a lot of fun. Also on OSX with a crash on killing. I think I had 36 coins and was at a height of ~8000. |
| May 12 16:06:32 | 8m 44s | Island Attack | ♥ 0 | Good effort, the graphics are good and the gameplay is challenging (until I figured out I could just spam bombs from the top of the screen). I would echo that the controls could be better, especially putting bombs on the 'e' key, it makes it very difficult to keep straight what I'm doing. Overall though a solid dive bomber. |
| May 14 05:25:41 | 37h 19m | Bacteria colony | ♥ 1 | I really enjoyed this one. I was only able to get to 9 aliens since I'm on a touchpad. I originally missed the bit about clicking on the resources, having the instructions in game somewhere would have helped. Great work! |
| May 14 05:41:18 | 15m 37s | No One's Planet | ♥ 1 | I never thought of using telnet for a game jam, full innovation points! |
| May 14 05:47:44 | 6m 26s | Space Brawls | ♥ 1 | Tough to aim, but very unique idea. Plus points for both Spaceballs and Star Wars references. |
| May 14 17:08:41 | 11h 20m | Drifting away | ♥ 1 | Very challenging! I like the use of gravity. I think there could have been a slightly easier mode with unlimited boost that might have been helped more people complete the game, but you can only do so much in 48 hrs. Good job! |
| May 14 17:19:50 | 11m 09s | Terraform | ♥ 1 | This feels like a really good start to a survival game. I would have liked a way to determine the precise placement of buildings before clicking, I managed to box myself in early on in my first playthrough. More information or player feedback on the status and operation of your buildings would have been welcome too. Still, it's a great idea and what is there is executed really well. |
| May 16 00:22:12 | 31h 02m | 5-Minute Civilization | ♥ 1 | That music really adds to the frantic pace! I think this is pretty amazing for a compo entry. I do think adding some civ style resources would have helped replayability, but super solid job. |
| May 16 00:33:22 | 11m 10s | Stellar Swarm | ♥ 2 | A nice effort! Some upgrades or the ability to place additional towers between waves would be welcome. I dig the aesthetic. |
| May 16 00:51:21 | 17m 59s | Legend of the Mountain | ♥ 0 | I liked the music. I wasn't able to beat it due to one inaccessible orb, but I really liked the vibe. |
| May 16 14:48:24 | 13h 57m | Locker C-18 | ♥ 2 | Nice little maze crawl! It would have been nice to see my final time on the victory screen, I think I got somewhere around 8 minutes but I can't be sure. Good job! |
| May 16 22:19:41 | 7h 31m | Fat Rat | ♥ 1 | The best rodent exercise simulator I have ever played. Fantastic! |
| May 16 22:29:18 | 9m 37s | TerminAnt | ♥ 1 | Decent shooter! Some restrictions would have been welcome, maybe limiting ammo or time to complete or something to make it a little more challenging, but overall a decent shoothouse-esque experience. |
| May 16 22:36:12 | 6m 54s | Game of Worlds | ♥ 2 | I like the art and the mechanics are novel. I think the pathing could use a little work but overall a good job! |
| May 16 22:47:35 | 11m 23s | Gacu | ♥ 0 | I liked it, even though I cursed multiple times on the last leg with the iffy collision detection. I could have used more audio, but what was there worked great! |
| May 16 22:54:13 | 6m 38s | Asymmetry | ♥ 1 | Crazy! I got a little stressed out while playing so I didn't do so hot, but I like how you play with size and timescales. |
| May 16 23:07:12 | 12m 59s | Adventure Owl Meets the Mole Men | ♥ 2 | Adventure Owl is the most compelling video game protagonist that I can recall playing. |
| May 17 01:39:26 | 2h 32m | Battle Ham' | ♥ 0 | I won! Definitely could have used more info about how much units cost, but I really liked the graphics. |
| May 17 01:51:34 | 12m 08s | Higher Ground | ♥ 3 | Wow. Very impressive for a jam game. Turn-based strategy is one of my (lofty) goals for a jam at some point when I git gud at Ludum Dare. Good mix of planning for resources and keeping moving. I will play this game again, really well done guys. |
| May 17 02:05:11 | 13m 37s | You Are An Elevator | ♥ 0 | The best voice work, hands down, in any game ever. I really suck at this game but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. |
| May 17 02:10:20 | 5m 09s | s-mol | ♥ 0 | Baffling but oddly relaxing. Would definitely have appreciated some sly hints. |
| May 20 18:20:31 | 88h 10m | A Smaller World | ♥ 0 | Very moody, it created atmosphere very effectively. I think having more than one choice (and/or making that choice les inconsequential) would have made it work better as an actual game as opposed to a short story. |
| May 20 18:30:19 | 9m 48s | Escape to the Stars | ♥ 0 | Either the controls were a little tough for the keyboard/touchpad combo I was using or I'm still unsure how to give people items for buffs. I also found that the combo of limited ammo + tons of monsters + no really good way to avoid damage made the experience a little more punishing than it needed to be, but again, I could see how that might be due to my control setup. Maybe it would have helped if the game paused while you were trying to talk to someone or resupply your ship. Overall though I think you did a really good job! |
| May 20 18:42:53 | 12m 34s | Insula Umbrarum | ♥ 0 | I would have appreciated some more variety in the audio, the drill got pretty monotonous after a short period. I think this could work pretty well if you decided to continue development after the jam, could evolve into a nice little puzzler. |
| May 20 18:54:22 | 11m 29s | Strategic Survival | ♥ 1 | The graphics were really great. I think in it's current form it's a bit too simple to stockpile what you need to outlast the wave. It feels like a solid tutorial level for a bigger game. I think you could definitely keep deving on this and add more complexity to make it a really entertaining experience. Also, adding some audio would go a long way towards making it feel like a more robust experience. |
| May 20 19:03:35 | 9m 13s | Le Petit Shooter | ♥ 2 | The audio and graphics are top notch. I love the theme, but I wish there had been an AI to play against since I don't have any friends in the vicinity. Also, the keyboard controls are a little strange, when I added 4 players the "O" key fired for all of them simultaneously. Not sure if that was intended. I think this game would probably work really well as a console game. Excellent work! |
