| Dec 9 03:00:00 | OJiJi | The controls were a bit confusing to me, and I encountered a number of difficulties trying to get the shapes to do what I wanted. Neat concept, though, and I like the blurred look. | |
| Dec 9 03:07:00 | 7m 00s | Now Serving | Definitely unfinished, but I appreciate the quirkiness of what's there. I was "served" and then got stuck, so I assume that's the end. |
| Dec 9 03:16:00 | 9m 00s | Dogs Peeing Everywhere | Hah! This is the best game about peeing dogs I have ever played, hands down, and I don't say that lightly. |
| Dec 9 03:21:00 | 5m 00s | Collect the Crystals | Clever use of the theme! I like the magnification effect, though it ends up getting in your way and making it so you can't see where you're going. Maybe that's by design, but I felt very claustrophobic only being able to see a handful of pixels in front of me. =) |
| Dec 9 03:30:00 | 9m 00s | Once upon a time... | Love the storytelling setup. Nice use of voice, and the platforming was an interesting concept. I think you may have opted *in* to Humor instead of *out*, so I can't vote on anything else - the form changed from opt in to opt out at the last minute. |
| Dec 9 03:37:00 | 7m 00s | BounceEmUp | Nice! It's a solid little game, feels really tight to play, and gives the feeling that it could be fairly competitive if you got good at the mechanics. I like it. |
| Dec 9 03:44:00 | 7m 00s | Beats Me | I like the stretching/scrolling effect, and I'm a sucker for music/rhythm games. It was kinda hard to tell how much tapping to the beat really helped my score, since nothing was shown 'til the end, but I enjoyed tapping away in time with the music anyway. =) |
| Dec 9 03:49:00 | 5m 00s | Blockade Runner | It's no surprise to me that the game made in Processing is very pretty. =) The white light mechanic was cool, but a little hard to understand. |
| Dec 9 04:29:00 | 40m 00s | The Cathedral | I'm not usually a fan of the "clicker" games, but this one was pretty fun. I was glad I stuck around for the surprise ending, until it turned out to be WAY too hard. <.< |
| Dec 9 04:53:00 | 24m 00s | Maze of Doom | This is pretty cool! The concept of maximizing your dungeon crawl by planning a path through boot icons is new to me, and makes for an interesting experience. Even after your explanation I don't think I understand the boss fight enough to really figure out if I stand a chance, but it's enough to just say "oh, I got pretty far, I probably have the stats for it now." Beat the boss, and it felt like an accomplishment. =) |
| Dec 9 23:27:00 | 18h 34m | KEYBOARD WARS: SUPER SNOWMAN TUG-O-WAR EDITION | I like the "cheating is encouraged" prompt. xD This was a fun little distraction, the sort of thing I could see spending way too much time playing with a few punch-drunk friends. |
| Dec 9 23:34:00 | 7m 00s | Crab with Tentacles | The crab-with-six-extremely-long-arms-drops-eyeball-critters-into-the-garbage-chute-like genre is a little crowded these days, but there is something about this game that just makes me want to like it. Bravo. |
| Dec 10 01:47:00 | 2h 13m | BlobWarrior | Does not start up for me on OS/X, says it can't load the LWJGL library. Stack trace is here, if it helps: http://pastebin.com/w3G8fr3Q. |
| Dec 10 02:10:00 | 23m 00s | Microphyla | Solid Metroidvania, clever use of space to fit the whole game into one screen, and it's pretty to boot. Nice! |
| Dec 10 02:23:00 | 13m 00s | Mine Shaft Monsters | Simple, enjoyable - I had fun and was motivated to play through to the end. =) |
| Dec 10 02:38:00 | 15m 00s | Ghost Digger | Pretty tough, but I definitely started to pick up some idea of how to properly avoid the ghosts. I love when you run into a ghost while digging - it's very much a "well this is awkward" moment as you sort out what to do next. xD |
| Dec 10 02:52:00 | 14m 00s | Contest Simulator: Studio Winning | The ending: "Oh. Oh, okay." |
| Dec 10 02:59:00 | 7m 00s | Rome's Little Step | A little buggy, but I enjoyed the combat. |
| Dec 10 03:07:00 | 8m 00s | Kazee ! | Pretty fun take on Joust, I enjoyed it. I couldn't quite figure out how to take down the bigger planes, but assume you need to grow bigger first? |
| Dec 10 03:22:00 | 15m 00s | Force Feedback | Hah! This is terrific, and oh-so-very clever. Love it! |
| Dec 10 03:36:00 | 14m 00s | Walk the Plank | Hah! This is deceptively fun and deep, and feels really great when you get into a good rhythm. I love the animations and the quirky premise. |
| Dec 10 15:00:00 | 11h 24m | Debug Dungeon | Neat line of sight effect. It was kinda hard to move and drop bombs at once, but the movement felt smooth and responsive. |
| Dec 10 15:08:00 | 8m 00s | TapRPG | Nice! I liked the streamlined setup and the predictable nature of everything. Made it feel a bit puzzle-y. I would have like t <br/>have seen the cooldowns on the monster's abilities to plan a little bit more effectively, though. |
| Dec 10 20:10:00 | 5h 02m | Aaargh! The snake is here in my bed! | Interesting take on snake - I didn't really get the mechanics at first, and was confused when I started shrinking/losing points, but it was fun figuring out the "proper" way to play. |
| Dec 10 20:16:00 | 6m 00s | Entire Screen of One Game | Cue "Inception" *BWAAA!* (http://inception.davepedu.com/) My mind was sufficiently blown, thanks Tom 7. |
| Dec 10 20:28:00 | 12m 00s | Orion | Spectacular experience for the feel and mood. There's not much actual gameplay here, but I have never had so much fun with so little gameplay. Brilliantly executed. =) |
| Dec 10 20:46:00 | 18m 00s | WASD | Love it! I rolled my eyes at first, having played far too many "move the little dot around the map" games, but it quickly became apparent this game had enough personality and clever tricks to merit a full playthrough. No crashes here, the whole thing played nice for me. |
| Dec 10 20:54:00 | 8m 00s | HeadButters | While the gameplay wasn't exactly anything new, this was a very polished and tight rendition, and I loved the little animation touches. Nicely done! |
| Dec 10 21:00:00 | 6m 00s | Buck Blastem | Probably the most polished Space Invaders clone I've played, though also one of the easiest (though the difficulty does ramp appropriately after some time). Love the particle effects. |
| Dec 10 21:08:00 | 8m 00s | Train of Thought | I'm always up for a good word game, and this one didn't disappoint. Unfortunately it didn't seem to let me pass level three, I landed on both of the colored circles, and nothing happened. Maybe I'm misunderstanding a mechanic? Still, I had some good fun here. |
| Dec 10 21:14:00 | 6m 00s | Guard Screen | I like the idea here, but boy is it hard! First time I played I didn't realize there were multiple floors, but lucked out several levels in a row when the thief was on the first floor. I thought there was a bug when it said someone got away with a theft, 'cause I was positive no stealing happened on my watch. xD |
| Dec 10 21:21:00 | 7m 00s | Let There be Pixels | The evolution bit was neat - I was very confused when I was playing a lightbulbs game after seeing the screenshots. xD |
| Dec 10 21:28:00 | 7m 00s | Coloring | Always fun to play a new twist on tile-matching - this one was pretty fun, though I really would have liked to have a preview of the next tile to plan ahead a little better. |
| Dec 10 21:31:00 | 3m 00s | endless rules | Very cool premise, and deceptively hard to keep track of everything! I very much appreciate that a rule glows when it takes effect, really helps emphasize what's going on. |
| Dec 10 21:38:00 | 7m 00s | OBSIDIAN | Tricky controls, but fun to master. I didn't quite understand what energy or resistance were, and the water only seemed to work on one part of the lava? The instructions were appreciated, but very confusing to figure out. Anyway, I felt it was an accomplishment to beat the game. =) |
| Dec 10 21:45:00 | 7m 00s | Complemental Doors | Very cool! I'm impressed how much you packed into what's effectively a very short game. There's enough here to show you can do cool things with the mechanic, and it's not cluttered with anything that would get in the way of the major point (unnecessary jumping puzzles, etc.) The "aha!" moment when I realized how to reason about how to get where I want was awesome. Loved it! |
| Dec 10 21:52:00 | 7m 00s | ULTRA REKTAGON | I got rekt. =( Wish I could get further, this seems like it'd be a fun game to get really good at, but I'm just awful at this sort of thing. |
| Dec 10 22:09:00 | 17m 00s | Crazy Air Raid | Hah! This got ridiculous (in a good way) fast! Was not expecting the cannon to scale up that far. I finally died not because I missed any targets, but because I simply didn't have enough bullets! I had fun. =) |
| Dec 10 22:17:00 | 8m 00s | Alfred Bonzo | I got deaded. =( I am very bad at this game, but I love the music! |
| Dec 10 22:42:00 | 25m 00s | hot & cold | Interesting rules! Actual gameplay is fairly slow, so it's kinda tough to make it through a whole game, but there are some cool mechanics at play here. |
| Dec 11 00:01:00 | 1h 19m | Bounds of Space | Fun little Asteroids clone - it was a little too easy, I think. It felt like my score was limited by my stamina, not necessarily by my skill. Still, I enjoyed the experience. =) |
| Dec 11 00:26:00 | 25m 00s | Galvatross | Joust with a teleport? Neat idea, though movement felt a little clunky, and occasionally a little bugged. The title screen and music were spectacular! |
| Dec 11 00:36:00 | 10m 00s | Dads Gold | You nailed the look of this game (the map, etc. are lovely), and I love the setup. The actual driving bit is maybe not so fun, but the concept is so novel I didn't really care. =) |
| Dec 11 01:01:00 | 25m 00s | Black Drop | I'm not crazy about the platforming, but this game had a nice feel to it. Very pleasant soundtrack! =) |
| Dec 11 01:18:00 | 17m 00s | ManyQuest | Neat idea, very hard. Random level generation was cool, but also seemed fairly unfair. Still, the fast paced nature of things meant if I got a bad level I could just play again. =) |
| Dec 11 02:38:00 | 1h 20m | Vanitas | I don't get it. Against my better judgement, I finally got the A+ education, and all it got me was a few more coins at the "work" area. The only endings to the game I can find anywhere are death. Cruel commentary? |
| Dec 11 02:52:00 | 14m 00s | Daybloom | Very pretty, but I';m not sure how it works, even though I (think) I beat the game. Is the object just to keep the sun from going all spikey? |
| Dec 11 03:05:00 | 13m 00s | Break The Screen | Hah! Loved the ending. =) |
| Dec 11 03:29:00 | 24m 00s | TURN it UP | This is very very cool! I had some problems with motion sickness (makes a lot of games rough for me), but stuck with it anyway, and you definitely have something here. I'm very much enjoying going for green streaks (my best is 39 so far), but I'm struggling to see how to control a run going for gold streaks. I got to eight just spinning one direction and trying to avoid red guys, but eventually they just pile up and it's too much to rely on that strategy. Any tips? |
| Dec 11 03:37:00 | 8m 00s | Digital Snowbody | Hah! xD This is awesome, thanks for a good time. =) |
| Dec 11 03:59:00 | 22m 00s | Junk heap | A fun and polished little shooter. =) It seemed very eash to me (though I can see how folks would have had trouble before you added mouse controls). I eventually quit after about level 15 having had my fill. Unfortunately it seems from your comments I was pretty close to when the difficulty ramps up, so I should've stuck with it. |
| Dec 11 05:21:00 | 1h 22m | Sweep Stacks | Nothing new on the gameplay side, but this is incredibly polished and nice. Well done! Am I hearing rubber bands? |
| Dec 11 13:49:00 | 8h 28m | Jumpy Box | There's no shortage of these games, but I always enjoy playing 'em. I got 56. =) |
| Dec 11 14:22:00 | 33m 00s | Pixel Gladiators | Fun little game. I was having a *very* hard time staying alive until I picked up a bow, then the game got a little too easy I think. Still enjoyable though. =) |
| Dec 11 16:16:00 | 1h 54m | Alchemist | Worked well for me on OS/X. I love the art style! The fairies were unnecessary in my opinion, and introduced an element to the game that just ended up being a frustration. Still a cool little game though. =) |
| Dec 11 23:11:00 | 6h 55m | Chefs Legend | This is very very cool! The tutorials didn't really explain much, but limiting the mechanics allowed for some discovery, which was fun. The physics are tough to master, but that adds to the charm. =) |
| Dec 11 23:55:00 | 44m 00s | Legendary Legionnaire Winter Massacre | I had a good time with this one! It gets hard quickly. The balance between melee and ranged is great, with both equally useful in different situations. The nuke effect looks pretty spiffy! |
| Dec 12 00:16:00 | 21m 00s | Planetiod | I like the little planet. =) There wasn't much to do here aside from wait, but what's here has character. |
| Dec 12 00:25:00 | 9m 00s | Snowman Lander 2014 | I'm a big lunar lander fan, and this was a fun little lander game with character. I loved the random level generation, but it did tend to give me a freebie every once in a while, where the terrain directly below a snowman was flat(ish). Didn't detract from the enjoyment though. |
