| Apr 29 03:34:00 | Please Ignore The Dancing Llama | Good use of humor with the dialogue and the artwork. The sound is really nice and the whole game plays pretty well. Excellent job! | |
| Apr 29 03:45:00 | 11m 00s | Work! | Once I saw the same thing twice, I quit my job. Not sure what that says about me as a person, but interesting take on the theme. Definitely not "fun", but certainly thought-provoking. |
| Apr 29 04:01:00 | 16m 00s | COLORFORM | Very challenging and unique game. I love color-based puzzle games, and this one is simple, but very well-executed. As has already been mentioned, restarting after death is a tad slow, and the sound effect of the bar resetting gets old after awhile. |
| Apr 29 11:05:00 | 7h 04m | cGame | Really fun to play, with an excellent difficulty curve. Great entry! |
| Apr 29 11:22:00 | 17m 00s | Flight Time | A lot of fun to play through the first several levels, although the trial and error nature of it does get a bit frustrating once the levels become a bit more complex. Good entry! |
| Apr 29 11:28:00 | 6m 00s | A Day At Joe's | I love just simply labeling everything what it is. That was a nice touch. Good use of the theme. I wish it could have been a little longer, though. |
| Apr 29 12:13:00 | 45m 00s | Killing Time | Reminds me a little bit of how Dark City starts out. I'm with everyone else here, it should be longer. |
| Apr 30 00:03:00 | 11h 50m | MinZ | Great and unique puzzle concept. Just as I was about to complain that it played a little slow, the next level sped up a bit. :) |
| Apr 30 00:25:00 | 22m 00s | Katana Senpou | I love the decisions you made with both the sound and the art style. Very cool entry. |
| Apr 30 00:36:00 | 11m 00s | Line Quest | I actually really like this one. At first I had no clue what was going on, but after awhile, I started to understand everything pretty well. Excellent job on the theme. I'd love to see a much longer version of this game. |
| Apr 30 00:48:00 | 12m 00s | Self | I kept hoping the speed of the game would pick up shortly after the music started to. Unfortunately, it got kinda tedious after awhile. Good music, and the marching sound and imagery was pretty cool. |
| Apr 30 00:56:00 | 8m 00s | Squeezed Out | Fun game. Simple and well-executed. Sound was a bit annoying, though. |
| Apr 30 01:57:00 | 1h 01m | Moonshine | The graphics are very well-drawn, but with the lighting combined with the transparency, it's a bit confusing at first. |
| Apr 30 02:15:00 | 18m 00s | OZE | Really fun game. Sliding through the corridors at just the right time was enjoyable. |
| Apr 30 02:33:00 | 18m 00s | Union | Way too short, but the audio was very soothing. |
| Apr 30 02:48:00 | 15m 00s | Pew pew! | The graphics are very simple, but they animate and move around so beautifully. Well done! |
| Apr 30 03:38:00 | 50m 00s | TOOM | Amazing artwork and the mood and theme were both pretty good. The pace was way too slow and the connections between objects was pretty loose at times, though. |
| Apr 30 03:44:00 | 6m 00s | Double Hydra | I love the art style you chose and the core mechanic seems good. I wish the game could have progressed a bit faster, though. |
| Apr 30 05:11:00 | 1h 27m | Minimalist Art Club | The text was a big help, and added to the mood of the game. I did have some issues selecting smaller blocks that were in front of larger blocks. |
| Apr 30 06:56:00 | 1h 45m | A Trigger Darkly | The sounds you picked were really effective at building suspense. Once the patterns starting layering, the game got very interesting. Nice entry! |
| Apr 30 13:04:00 | 6h 08m | Towers of Rage | As a huge fan of Streets of Rage, I really appreciate this take on it. The punch and kick animations, despite being only a couple of pixels, are effective. |
| Apr 30 17:00:00 | 3h 56m | The Lamp | Really fun idea with good mood. The sounds were a bit loud and harsh, at times, though. |
| Apr 30 19:27:00 | 2h 27m | Nega-girl | The difficulty curve was excellent. Just as you start to get better at learning his patterns and the controls, you start to lose abilities. Very fun! |
| Apr 30 22:40:00 | 3h 13m | BLOB | The ragequit level actually turned out to be one of the easier ones for me, but I think it's because I accidentally stumbled upon an easy solution I doubt I could easily replicate. Cool puzzle game! |
| May 1 13:51:00 | 15h 11m | Slime Factory | Lots of fun to play. I didn't want the game to end. If you decide to make a post-compo version, I'd love to see a level editor added in. |
| May 1 23:03:00 | 9h 12m | Gallery | One of my favorites so far. Everything was great! |
| May 3 00:23:00 | 25h 20m | Grid Blaster | Score seems buggy at times, but the game was pretty fun to play. I liked how the grid rebuilt itself over time. |
| May 3 02:40:00 | 2h 17m | Gods Will Be Watching | Amazing game all around. The challenge is really good, and the interaction with the characters is excellent. This is definitely one of my favorites. |
| May 4 00:09:00 | 21h 29m | CRAAASH | I rather liked the ending music. The green hue to everything looked nice, too. |
| May 4 00:48:00 | 39m 00s | Robot Hears Kitten | I happened to find the kitten on my first try, so I had to play again to realize there was more content than that. The sound effects were nice additions to the descriptions. |
| May 4 01:14:00 | 26m 00s | XYZ | Felt like part puzzle, part interactive thingamabob. Fun, and pleasing to listen to and watch. |
| May 4 01:17:00 | 3m 00s | Fog | I would really like to try this game out, but I'm actually getting malicious software warnings from Google Chrome, for some reason. |
| May 4 01:30:00 | 13m 00s | Shape of shades | I wanted to keep playing, but by the time I was several levels in, my framerate was unplayably low. I really liked the mechanic, the sound, and the colors, though. |
| May 5 13:23:00 | 35h 53m | Battery | I love all the little details you put into this game. From the gameboy tilting with you as you move to the shadows under the LCD graphics. The concept of finding batteries in-game to power the game in real life is cool. My only complaint is how harsh the sound is that plays when you beat a level. Minor complaint, though. Great entry, and lots of fun! |
| May 5 14:37:00 | 1h 14m | Unfurl | Amazing entry all around. I seriously hope you don't lose too many Innovation points due to people being convinced by the description that this game already existed before. Making a brand-new puzzle game that is both clever and fun is far from easy, and what I love more about your game is that it could, in theory, be played in real life with actual scrolls. Awesome job! |
| May 5 22:13:00 | 7h 36m | Reach the Moon | Cool graphical style, and, while the objective wasn't always immediately clear, it was decent enough that I was always able to figure out what to do next in a fair amount of time. Good job! |
| May 7 22:14:00 | 48h 01m | Staring Contest | The dialogue really made it great. |
| May 9 01:40:00 | 27h 26m | Street of Rave | Getting the old man with the cane dancing cracks me up. Love the style of this game. Fun and challenging. |
| May 9 02:07:00 | 27m 00s | Floating Point | I'd love to see this concept fleshed out more. It's a rather unique approach, and fun to explore. The ending felt rushed, but as you mentioned, so were you toward the end of the competition. Good job! |
| May 9 05:59:00 | 3h 52m | Budget Squad | 123,255 for me. Great graphics, as usual. Music is nice, and the sound is decent. Great job! |
| May 9 11:16:00 | 5h 17m | Coder | I like the unique spin on such a well-known game. A lot of fun to play. Great job! |
| May 9 12:50:00 | 1h 34m | Leaf Me Alone | The sound was superb and the gameplay was fun and engaging. Excellent job! |
| May 10 00:39:00 | 11h 49m | Milton | I really liked the concept behind this. I'd love to see the idea explored a bit more with the addition of hazards, monsters, or objects that need to be used. The core idea behind it is awesome, though! Great job! |
| May 10 02:51:00 | 2h 12m | ::.::::::. | The art that you generate through playing the game is a really cool idea. I wish the machine gun sound effect had a little more variety to it, but other than that, I really liked this entry. |
| May 11 02:17:00 | 23h 26m | 28 Pixels | The audio, while very simple, adds a lot to the tension after the speed really picks up. |
| May 11 03:37:00 | 1h 20m | Merkaba | I think if the collision with objects were tightened up some more, the turning mechanism wouldn't be so annoying, but as it stands, it was very difficult keeping him from going off into areas I'm sure he wasn't supposed to be able to get to. I really liked the look and the sound, though. When I got all the crystals, at first I didn't know what I was supposed to do, but I did eventually find the giant crystal. |
| May 12 13:00:00 | 33h 23m | Hubu Handler | I really liked this entry. Apart from being a one-screen game, it seems to have little to do with the theme, but the graphics are really well done, and overall it's a great entry. I'm surprised more people haven't played it. |
| May 12 13:27:00 | 27m 00s | Rainbow Rocket | I thought the black hole mechanic was a really neat way to control a ship, but I couldn't get over the fact that all of the levels seemed designed for a more conventional control method. I think it would have been a lot more fun to have to arc my way through a series of long, circular gaps instead of micro-managing the turning radius on my ship to dodge enemy fire and floating barriers. Overall, I really liked this game, but the mechanic seemed to add more in frustration than it did in fun. I loved the percussive music, as well! |
| May 12 13:49:00 | 22m 00s | A thing about nothingness | Dialogue that's actually funny and interesting to read is hard to pull off, and this game does a good job with it. The humor is great, and I like how you keep getting second chances with the test (as opposed to just quitting and restarting), that was a nice touch. |
| May 12 21:00:00 | 7h 11m | Super 1-Bit Space Arena | I like the black and white graphics. Reminds me of the games I used to play on my old black-and-white Macintosh as a kid. |
| May 13 23:33:00 | 26h 33m | Lunarium | Overall, I thought the graphics and sounds were good, although I'm pretty sure the music is pulled straight from Battletoads. |
| May 16 13:14:00 | 61h 41m | Wandering Darkness | Really cool-sounding music. The lighting is put to really good use here, as well. Good job! |
| May 17 03:20:00 | 14h 06m | Undercolor Agents | Love the bright colors and the particle effects on the weapons, as well as when the colors combine to form giant enemy cubes. Really cool game all around. Thanks again for making a post-compo version, I really dig the music. |
| May 19 23:52:00 | 68h 32m | Reich 18 | I love the look of old LCD games, and you've captured it dead on! The gameplay was hard to figure out at first, but once I did getting points seemed easy. |
| May 20 02:02:00 | 2h 10m | Squares | Super simple but straightforward and fun. I got 90 seconds. |
| May 20 19:56:00 | 17h 54m | RedShot | Staying in one corner seems to be a pretty good strategy. The transition effect with the walls between rounds was pretty cool to watch. |
| May 20 20:10:00 | 14m 00s | Minimalist Horror Story | The mood was fantastic on this one. It's hard to genuinely creep the player out in any game, but you succeeded on that front, in my opinion. |
| May 20 20:17:00 | 7m 00s | shon | Strange combination of relaxing and nerve-wracking. I like the concept, and the background music is very soothing. |
| May 20 20:28:00 | 11m 00s | Hexzilla | Cool design. The title screen audio was very nice, and the gameplay was fun. |
| May 20 21:26:00 | 58m 00s | Earth Defender | If you can shoot down a certain amount of the initial barrage, then find a safe spot, it gets a lot easier. You only lose when the aliens hit you (not the Earth as I had initially thought), and they run on a loop, so if you miss them the first time, just time your movement and get them on the next pass. |
| May 20 22:35:00 | 1h 09m | You Must Escape | This is a great concept, and it's executed so well. This is one of my favorites. |
| May 21 00:05:00 | 1h 30m | Pyramid | Reminds me of a minimal-ized version of an old favorite of mine, Scarab of Ra. The vision fog was a nice touch, and the ambient music was cool. |
| May 21 00:50:00 | 45m 00s | Departing of the Sensory | I didn't want to go through with it at first, but the game made me. I liked how the sound was the first to go. |
