| Apr 30 22:21:00 | Ordinal | It took me a while to understand what I was supposed to do, and the boxes with the numbers sometimes cover the output/input connectors and it's hard to make a line. <br/> <br/>But I'm glad I stuck with it, because in the end it's a very original and cool idea for a math-music-puzzle game! <br/> <br/>I have to comeback to this later to clear level 4 | |
| Apr 30 22:24:00 | 3m 00s | SINE | So this is the other Sine :) It kind reminds of Mini-Golf and pool. It's pleasant to play, has a nice colour palette and the music part adds a surprising touch! |
| Apr 30 22:24:00 | 0s | hekeri | Interesting idea but very tricky to play. I still have not managed to climb on the blue thing. <br/> <br/>A sidenote: On Firefox I was getting only 6fps, but switching to Chrome got me to 59fps. |
| May 1 15:47:00 | 17h 23m | MinimalFive | Loved the idea and the mood, the graphics and the music. The minigames were challenging, but on my machine (Linux with ff, chrome or opera), the gameplay was kind of "jumpy" and the response somehow sluggish, so I had to give up on the 4th mini-game. |
| May 1 16:00:00 | 13m 00s | Out Of Light | Tried running on Fedora 16, got the following exception <br/> <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: uk/co/mutantsquirrel/minimalism/Game : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) <br/> at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) <br/>Could not find the main class: uk.co.mutantsquirrel.minimalism.Game. | May 1 16:15:00 | 15m 00s | Minimalistic Color Labyrinth | Interesting and addictive enough to make me finish the level. Works great under Wine. |
| May 1 19:43:00 | 3h 28m | Hexzilla | The is very well presented. Played it on chrome and loved the audio and the overall feel. The only downside is that everything was a bit cheap, so at a point I had over $1000 and growing. Also could do with some final objective: I just abandoned after a while. But for a 48hr game, it's great. |
| May 1 20:59:00 | 1h 16m | Super Cowbell Text Adventure | Don't know much about Java, but I got the following exception (Linux fedora 16) <br/> <br/>$ java -jar LD26.jar <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: hyperkitty/game/LD26/LD26 : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) <br/> at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) <br/>Could not find the main class: hyperkitty.game.LD26.LD26. | May 1 21:06:00 | 7m 00s | Flashpants | Funny but a bit short. Works well on Linux, btw. |
| May 2 20:04:00 | 22h 58m | Pete Hated Circles | Solid entry. Not the most original in terms of gameplay, but I loved the way you merged the theme into a classic game. The transitions were also cool. |
| May 3 20:38:00 | 24h 34m | Minimal Defense | Sorry, can't run it: <br/>$ java -jar Minimal\ Defense.jar <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: minimalism/Container : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) <br/> at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) <br/> at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:266) <br/> at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.jarinjarloader.JarRsrcLoader.main(JarRsrcLoader.java:56) |
| May 3 20:45:00 | 7m 00s | Too Many Items | Funny :) Survived 2m10. |
| May 4 23:36:00 | 26h 51m | Left vs. Right | Works well on windows, but sometimes the computer doesn't move? Simple but somehow interesting strategy game, kept me playing for some rounds. |
| May 5 00:14:00 | 38m 00s | Haunted Dojo | The visuals are great and the music is also effective! But I agree with the other comments that the gameplay need more work. |
| May 5 11:21:00 | 11h 07m | theseus.f | The controls were frustrating at first, it was very easy to ran into a "killer" wall by not releasing an arrow key at the right instant. But it kept me playing and going through the mazes 3 times until I could kill the Minutaur, and that's a good game for me! Loved the @ for the player. |
| May 5 14:05:00 | 2h 44m | MeenoMinal | Very nice concept. The teleport(?) on level 3 was a bit strange. |
| May 5 14:17:00 | 12m 00s | Art: The Game | Could not run the game. There was a "No suitable graphics card found, bla bla bla" (the dialog didn't support copy&paste) |
| May 5 14:31:00 | 14m 00s | [My little game][+ or -] | well, it works and fits the theme :) Solid for a beginner, next time you can take some more risks ;) |
| May 5 14:56:00 | 25m 00s | flee the inevitable | Not the most original, some issues with the collision detection, but it kept me trying until I got to 680 days :-P <br/>(and I liked the music, it helped to build the mood/message) |
| May 5 23:15:00 | 8h 19m | Forest for the Tree | OK, I'm confused :/ I can connect nodes and then...? (maybe I should try this again in the morning) |
| May 7 20:14:00 | 44h 59m | ::.::::::. | Loved the crazy effects and the sound. |
| May 7 20:45:00 | 31m 00s | make a binky | Simple but interesting concept. Congratulations. |
| May 10 19:24:00 | 70h 39m | The Simple Clicker Game | Sorry. <br/> <br/>$ java -jar Game.jar <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Frame : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) <br/> at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) <br/>Could not find the main class: Frame. Program will exit. |
| May 10 20:28:00 | 1h 04m | RogueOut | I had to run it with java -jar RogueOut.jar <br/>Loved the graphics and the sound effects (although the short background loop starts to get annoying after a while). <br/>Is there any difference between levels? I also missed more control over the ball when bouncing it on the pad. |
| May 10 21:19:00 | 51m 00s | energized | Solid and original entry. The controls were a bit nasty :) Nice audio. |
| May 10 22:35:00 | 1h 16m | Efficient Body | Can't rate it - I don't have Kinetic. But nice to see an original idea! |
| May 10 22:51:00 | 16m 00s | Mondrianarium | I liked your take on the theme and the graphics. I'm not so sure about this gameplay approach that leaves the player almost powerless -- entering a room blindly not knowing what's inside and not having any control about what happens. The only skill needed is memory. <br/>Also, from the previous comments it seems you changed the game after the deadline? |
| May 11 00:04:00 | 1h 13m | OIA | I loved the generative music! :) <br/>But I'm not really a puzzle-lover so I ended up with a big headache before completing level 1... |
| May 11 16:50:00 | 16h 46m | TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS | What's all this crap on my desk, and why can't I just lock the window shut? :) <br/>Excellent idea, had a lot of fun playing it. |
| May 11 16:56:00 | 6m 00s | Anti-Tac-Tic | unfortunately, it will not run on my machine (Linux with Fedora 16, Java 6) |
| May 11 17:23:00 | 27m 00s | Composition with Yellow, Red, and Blue | This is my favourite game so far! Original controls, difficult enough to provide a challenge, yet so addictive I had to finish it. <br/>[but I think I'm getting sick of this Mondrian guy... :D] |
| May 12 12:16:00 | 18h 53m | U | I liked the visuals and music very much. In the first couple of levels it was annoying to completely have no reference for where the obstacles were when they sled out of the way entirely. Loved how I got addicted enough to beat maniac without watching the video. <br/> <br/>There was a problem with the text(? I think it was supposed to be text because it wasn't displaying properly). |
| May 12 17:21:00 | 5h 05m | Tune Locks | I ran into the same problem as mibbio |
| May 12 17:35:00 | 14m 00s | Babel | Looked promising, but the controls were a bit awkward because the movement - especially turning - wasn't very smooth. And I couldn't understand the combat system (some symbol just popped up from nowhere and there was long wait between choosing an action an getting the result). |
| May 12 21:22:00 | 3h 47m | Colourless: The Deeds Of Evil Mr. Mono! | I also couldn't find the evil guy, and had no idea what I was supposed to do after picking all the colours. Frame rate was fine. Being able to walk on the void was pretty cool, but I'm not sure it was intended :) |
| May 12 23:04:00 | 1h 42m | Brave Warrior | I had the same problems with the game freezing up with time on my Galaxy S. Very basic, liked the music. |
| May 16 21:10:00 | 94h 06m | # | The controls were awkward (difficult to get the square into narrow paths) and deciding against diagonal movement was not to my liking :D But I liked the puzzle system, and loved the music. It's short, but long enough for this type of competition. |
| May 16 21:35:00 | 25m 00s | Minimum | There's some really cool stuff in here, but it's really confusing when you start playing, which can be tricky when you are trying to rate as many games as possible and don't have much free time :) <br/> <br/>I also felt I was just wondering around without a purpose. Is there a goal other to survive as long as possible? Very original, nevertheless. |
| May 16 21:52:00 | 17m 00s | Simplification Quest | I liked the graphics and the movement very much. <br/> <br/>I think the gameplay is a bit repetitive (I must confess I only made it to level 4 or 5, so it could vary later). I also hit several bugs?: player running facing backwards, I got stuck in some holes and couldn't jump out, core dumps. |
| May 18 08:20:00 | 34h 28m | [picture of a woman about to climb a mountain] | I liked the picture-only approach. |
| May 18 11:36:00 | 3h 16m | Soldier Chess: The Game | I loved the visuals. <br/>The strategic part didn't seem very interesting. I couldn't find a way to make use of the different types of soldiers, and I kept winning by just letting the CPU suicide both soldiers in a row, and then moving my soldiers in that row forward. <br/>(btw, I could only hear the sound/music on Chrome and not on Firefox) |
| May 18 19:43:00 | 8h 07m | We Need Potato | Man, I though my game was hard! :) I actually like the base idea, i just couldn't get the hang of it, sorry. |
| May 18 23:44:00 | 4h 01m | Mini Epic Adventure | Really awesome idea. Very hard to get into (a 14 page manual isn't exactly minimal :) ), but it looked so cool I had to keep trying until at least I completed something. At last I managed to leave the house, but kept getting killed by bees or wolves (I'm not a RPG fan). |
| May 19 12:04:00 | 12h 20m | Come No Closer | Very, very good. I loved the atmosphere, and I think the audio contributed a lot to that. The visual were also great. <br/> <br/>It took me a bit to get to grips with the control method- I kept expecting the up arrow to move in in whatever direction the torchlight was pointing to :) - but it was a lot of fun. <br/> <br/>It could use a bit more variety, but for a 48h effort it's excellent. |
| May 19 13:36:00 | 1h 32m | Allied | Every time I move the mouse to enter the shop 1000 enemies come and hit my friend :) |
| May 19 15:15:00 | 1h 39m | BBB&B | Mini and it works. Nice. The play area in the web version could be a little bigger and centered. |
| May 19 23:28:00 | 8h 13m | Ninja Playground | Cool, and android version! I got to level 5, I think. A bit hard to get the potato(?) to react the way I wanted. <br/>I liked the graphics :) |
