| Apr 23 19:31:00 | Tiny World is in Danger! | Great game, though I think that it could be improved with a faster scrolling speed as the game went on. Also, I'm opening the leaderboard with a HighScore of 80799.0 <br/>http://db.tt/L97RLRw0 | |
| Apr 23 22:40:00 | 3h 09m | The Plane Walker | The gameplay was okay, but there was no end. A simple highscore screen would have been nice to see. Also a bit boring when you get the sword and hold down the mouse for instant pwnage :/ |
| Apr 23 22:48:00 | 8m 00s | Giant Wizards from the Outer Rim! | This is fantastic! Give me some more weapons, more health, and a little more strategy and I'll be able to play it with the rest of my family! It reminds me of Advance Wars a little bit. |
| Apr 23 23:02:00 | 14m 00s | Pocket Strife | The only thing separating this game from perfection is having a few different factions/colors for the enemy. I would definitely buy this game. If you ever decide to improve the game, the first thing you should do is add multiplayer. |
| Apr 23 23:25:00 | 23m 00s | Tondie and Zupe | Every time I place a table, the controls die. No chrome for me here on linux though :/ |
| Apr 23 23:40:00 | 15m 00s | Berries | Wander around, get killed. It does work on my Slackware box though. |
| Apr 23 23:44:00 | 4m 00s | Earf Defender | It crashes constantly on Linux x64 with love 0.8.0. |
| Apr 23 23:58:00 | 14m 00s | Microbe jump | Pros: Gameplay is solid <br/>Cons: Nothing really <br/>Suggestions: Perhaps more complex gameplay with arcs as you jump, and some generic rainforest tracks are in order. <br/> <br/>Score:4/5 |
| Apr 24 00:05:00 | 7m 00s | Trucking the Universe | Pros: The graphics are excellent. Points for "BEER GET" <br/>Cons: Not really a con, but your main link crashes at 15/23 <br/>Excellent game, with suprise difficulty after you've practiced with the booze run. 4/5 <br/>Thoughts: Some ukelele music would have been suitable for the beer run, so you could complete the redneck mood. |
| Apr 24 00:20:00 | 15m 00s | I want to turn the heater on | Pros: Sound effects were spot-on, and the multiple dimensions is pure geinus. <br/>Cons: The solution to the last puzzle was inobvious, and made little sense <br/>Overall, a fun short time waster, perfect for this compo. 4/5 <br/>Thoughts: A little background music hasn't hurt anyone, has it? |
| Apr 24 00:22:00 | 2m 00s | Squish | Opens up as a 0x0 window in Linux x64 with Sun-Java (Slackware 13.37). Using Xfce. |
| Apr 24 00:27:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny Defense | Finally, a space invaders overhaul! I would never have thought to do something like this on a sphere. |
| Apr 24 00:33:00 | 6m 00s | Flyght | Reminds me of the patterns from Galaga. Both games are cool. Not quite sure how this ties into "Tiny World" though. Also: BEGIN LEADERBOARD! My highscore: 123 <br/> <br/>http://db.tt/VmYuY1IK |
| Apr 24 00:37:00 | 4m 00s | TinyBoxes | Can't actually play the game, but the soundtrack is awesome, and I can give you a 4/5 for actually making one. |
| Apr 24 00:45:00 | 8m 00s | Invaders! | High score of 6500! I didn't know that if it hit the player you insta-died :/ <br/>Cool game though, just needs a surreal soundtrack for ld perfection. |
| Apr 24 00:57:00 | 12m 00s | Pale Blue Dot | Webstart is a bad link, and the applet crashes for me. Slackware Linux 13.37x64. FF11 |
| Apr 24 01:01:00 | 4m 00s | Wulcan | The game is excellent, and I'm rubbish at it. Decreasing the difficluty would be nice, but overall, you've hit this one out of the park. 4/5 |
| Apr 24 01:53:00 | 52m 00s | Freddies | I'm not quite sure what's going on here. Not going to review since I likely don't get it. |
| Apr 24 01:56:00 | 3m 00s | Most of us live in a tiny world | I'm not quite sure what you're doing here. It's pretty bad, whatever it is, sorry to say :( <br/>Sounds like you have a cool base for a drinking game though. |
| Apr 24 02:06:00 | 10m 00s | Magma Defense | I made it to level 4 with 26 missiles left. I think that the best improvement to the game (if you revisit it) would be to add a short intro about how the last space invader-defender person dies, but time is obviously a constraint here. 4/5 |
| Apr 24 02:09:00 | 3m 00s | BioBattle | Seems cool, but it feels like pokemon, and really, few 48 hour games can compare to pokemon :/ |
| Apr 24 02:17:00 | 8m 00s | Buggy, Tank and Missile Launcher!!! | Alright, here's my game: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=5874 |
| Apr 24 02:20:00 | 3m 00s | The First Frontier | I cannot play on linux 64bit with love 0.8.0: <br/>Error: main.lua:1028: Incorrect parameter type: expected userdata. <br/>stack traceback: <br/> [C]: in function 'setFont' <br/> main.lua:1028: in function 'draw' <br/> [string "boot.lua"]:410: in function <[string "boot.lua"]:373> <br/> [C]: in function 'xpcall' |
| Apr 24 02:26:00 | 6m 00s | ARACHNID | Cool game, but I'm not sure what the point is, or where the challenge lies. I'll just assume that it was cut due to time. |
| Apr 24 02:34:00 | 8m 00s | Glue Galaxy Rescue! | Excellent work here. The graphics and gameplay were a strong point here and did not disappoint. Add a two player mode (split screen perhaps) and I'd buy the game. |
| Apr 24 19:10:00 | 16h 36m | Homedefender | I like the game, and the core gameplay is very innovative. The difficulty is a bit high though, and a more gradual difficulty would be appreciated. <br/> <br/>LEADERBOARD GET: 368 people saved :D (pics or it didn't happen) <br/>http://db.tt/Urdtk6at |
| Apr 24 19:38:00 | 28m 00s | 70 seconds left | Not quite sure what this had to do with the theme, but the game is pretty awesome. If there was one feature that I could reccomend for you to add, it would be somehting to dodge/avoid, possibly with pickups. This is the most fun I've had playing a game all LD though. 4/5 <br/> <br/>High score: 33257 <br/>http://db.tt/tdcPKlxQ |
| Apr 24 19:40:00 | 2m 00s | Submarine: This Ain't Your Momma's Bathtub, Tovarisch | Cannot run: Linux x64. I'll be in IRC if you want to sort this out. <br/> <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: lib <br/>Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: lib <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) <br/>Could not find the main class: lib. | Apr 24 20:17:00 | 37m 00s | Disregard All Humans | Disregard All Humans is one of my favorites so far, with the game balance and speed perfectly matched. You slowly realize that the moon filling up is an indicator of...something, and the planet shrinks so that you just barely start to notice it. Overall a solid game that lasts long enough to hold my attention span, without being so long that it gets boring. Here's my first 5/5 in overall. <br/>Perhaps if you revisit this you should...I have no idea, it's perfect the way it is. |
| Apr 24 20:34:00 | 17m 00s | Calamity | I really enjoyed the game, and it made me think more than any other entry out here. Got to use my good old 4x4 evo map-calculating skills here. You stretch out the game a little, I think that if you made the world a bit smaller it would be even better. 4/5 |
| Apr 24 20:39:00 | 5m 00s | Epic Scale Warfare | Not quite sure what's going on here. I get a screen of dudes, then after dragging the mouse about a bit and watching these people "shoot", I see a screen with planets. Not rating until I have some idea what's going on here. FF11, Linux x64 |
| Apr 24 21:17:00 | 38m 00s | Little Mischief Makers | Cool game, though the timer is a bit high. Music is really well done! 4/5 |
| Apr 24 22:38:00 | 1h 21m | Cracked | Great game with features I've never seen anywhere else. Not certain what this has to do with tinyness, but still fun to play. Release this on iOS and you have a day 1 purchase :D |
| Apr 24 23:02:00 | 24m 00s | Quarky | I kept getting caught on things, and so did the AI. Cool game though. |
| Apr 25 21:11:00 | 22h 09m | Fish Tank Commander | I definitely have to give you points for ambition. Throwing together a MOTBS over 48 hours cannot be easy. However, playing the game becomes a bit of a grind for a few reasons: no realtime updating, you have to rely on messages. No lobby, so you have to track down someone willing to have a match. No animations at all, leaving me wondering whether or not my damage took. Not enough movement or strategy when it comes to the fights, half of the game is just trying to move into a battle-ish shape. The infrastructure is un-nesecarrily complicated for such a small game. It does work well though. <br/> <br/>Overall: Great aspirations, but too many flaws for me to see to the gameplay behind. 3/5 |
| Apr 25 22:09:00 | 58m 00s | Tiny Catan | Cool game, although 5000 years is a long time. 3000 would have been more suitable. However, excellent game here with world generation, people, reproduction - everything here is great! I especially liked the bit art, and the humour at the end, Made me chuckle. |
| Apr 25 23:14:00 | 1h 05m | The Wizard Delven | I have no idea what's going on here. I understand that I can craft stuff, but how? And how do I kill the first zombie? Also, when moving you need to make a "while (keysidown) {move}" as opposed to "while (key was initially pressed) {move}" |
| Apr 25 23:50:00 | 36m 00s | Tiny World Peace | I think you captured the nature of the game perfectly. The game ends a bit too quickly for me though. 4/5 |
| Apr 26 00:00:00 | 10m 00s | Pluto's Revenge | I like the mechanic, but it's not much of a game if there's no end condition :/ |
| Apr 26 00:29:00 | 29m 00s | Tiny world survival | It seems that the mac/linux versions are crashing due to audio. Perhaps you would put up a silent build for us? |
| Apr 26 00:32:00 | 3m 00s | Zombie Siege | Looks neat. protip: if you're out of time, use a timer as a highscore. 2/5 |
| Apr 26 00:36:00 | 4m 00s | Smallworld Survival | Cool game, but why no source code? I really want to see it :< <br/>If I could suggest two improvements, it would be to give me something else to do, and to slow the clock down a bit. |
| Apr 26 00:43:00 | 7m 00s | Escape from Minimars | Awesome game, but gets too laggy at level 3. 4/5 |
| Apr 26 01:08:00 | 25m 00s | Tiny's World | Don't have pygame installed (that's my fault). Note that it doesn't run on linux at all if you leave the apostrophe in. |
| May 9 20:48:00 | 331h 40m | Bacteria | It was frustrating to not have the firing on an independent axis. A scrolling background would help a lot too. |
| May 9 20:51:00 | 3m 00s | Save the World | I love the game, and very innovative with the sliding planet! 4/5 |
| May 9 20:54:00 | 3m 00s | The borders of Tiny World | Cool game, but all I get is a black screen. Console output is here: pastebin.com/9scJPDMk |
| May 9 20:58:00 | 4m 00s | NanoQuest | A little feedback with some sound would be nice, and sometimes the enemies come clumped a little too close together. Other than the actual game, the rest of it looked very nice. |
| May 9 21:04:00 | 6m 00s | Immunity | Works well for me. I like the game, and the artwork isn't bad either. However - the difficulty is way to easy. Simply spam the clicking and win. |
| May 9 23:17:00 | 2h 13m | tiny hostile world | Cool game, though I think that you could do with the incentive/increasing difficulty that caranha says. |
| May 10 17:05:00 | 17h 48m | Tiny Huge Planet | I loved this game, and I'll tell you why I gave you 5 stars everywhere. Because it's a board game that I played with my family. The mood set when you're playing with four people is better than any other game in existence. The laughs you get when you crush someone into oblivion. And nothing beats the live trash-talking soundtrack, provided by my competive wife and kids. The graphics were also excellent. Even on my old table, the shading and reflections were excellent. I could not spot a single rendering malfunction anywhere. And because I could play it with other people, I'm giving you a five in fun as well. So, 5/5. This is the best fun I've had all LD. HOWEVER, we had some questions about the rules. <br/> <br/>GENERAL QUESTIONS: <br/> <br/>Do you have to take all moves when you're attacking? <br/>Do you have to take all the moves when you're trying to land on a planet? <br/>Can you trade cards? <br/>Do you have to reveal your hand? <br/>Can you play multiple production cards on one planet? <br/>Can you play multiple production cards on one turn? <br/>What happens when all of your pieces leave a planet? <br/>Does the "Tiny World" card place a planet randomly? <br/>When generating the starting four planets, do you have to place one in each 4x4 quadrant, or does the dice roll determine that? <br/>Do you have to own the destination planet to teleport to when using the "Matter Transport" card? <br/>When a person dies, does the person that killed him get the cards/planets? <br/>Can you play more than one "Super Duper Lazer Beam" in an attack/defending? <br/>Can you move on top of a player and attack from there? <br/>Do dead units disappear forever? <br/>How many units are you allowed to have on a planet at a time? <br/> <br/>DEFENDING QUESTIONS: <br/> <br/>If you are attacking a planet, do all the tokens stacked on the planet combine for defense? <br/>If someone attacks a piece outside of a planet, can other units adjacent to the one attacking help defend? <br/>If multiple units can defend, do all the defending units die upon loss? <br/> <br/>COMBAT QUESTIONS: <br/> <br/>If I understand the instructions correctly, you can only attack/invade at the beginning of your turn. This means that you have to move next to someone, wait for them to try to attack you, then you can retaliate when it's your turn again. Is that right? <br/> <br/>COMMENTS: <br/> <br/>Wife - "If you stack more than 4 units on a planet, it's invincible, since only 4 can attack at a time <br/> <br/>Kid #1 - "It's like risk, but one that doesn't last weeks." <br/> <br/>Kid #2 - "If I win, do I get to keep the money?" <br/> <br/>Thanks for the cool game, and if you fix them, I'll keep a copy of these rules around :D |
| May 10 17:14:00 | 9m 00s | NaMa Tek | I like the game, but a more in-depth readme would be nice. Also, the clear button should reset the position as well, so you can't just assign single instructions to step through the game. Otherwise, <br/>EPIC! <br/>A programming game where you have to make a smart robot? Brilliant! Reminds me of my days back when I made a wall-evading robot. |
| May 10 17:22:00 | 8m 00s | Snowglobe | This is *very* fun. I can't seem to get past level 5 because the sleigh disappears, but otherwise very fun. I mean, I downloaded the source because this is so awesome. Graphics weren't absolutely great, but very good overall. 4/5 |
