| Dec 20 17:36:00 | Dinosaur Dance-Off | Very funny and a really nice game to play around with. Needs an in-game code input to dance off against other dinos and a reload button of some sort so you don't need to refresh the page all the time. <br/> <br/>Also where is the dino head I was promised? A good update would be to have different types of bones in the ones that are dropped. Not just normal bones but curved bones, pelvises, skulls, hands and feet. Then it would look totally crazy! | |
| Dec 20 17:40:00 | 4m 00s | Cardboard adventure | The graphics are lovely. I liked the running motion of the stick man. However that sound effect from the rocket really doesn't loop well. I found it amusing though ^^ |
| Dec 20 17:47:00 | 7m 00s | Land of the Fishies | I liked the graphics, music and the crazy dialogue. Slight error when you click on one creature to talk to and then straight to another in that the text from the previous one doesn't go away. <br/> <br/>Look forward to seeing more! |
| Dec 20 17:55:00 | 8m 00s | Terra Nova | I enjoyed it quite a lot. Bit of a horrific moment when I got to the pole and realised exactly why you needed the markers. <br/> <br/>Needless to say we all died... a lot. The controls are a little strange. Why does pressing Up move you Right on the screen? <br/> <br/>However I really liked this and I'm sure it took awhile to get it to this point. Well done! |
| Dec 20 17:58:00 | 3m 00s | Let's Science | Oh no! The text isn't rendering on my computer!! >< Black boxes away! |
| Dec 20 18:10:00 | 12m 00s | Discover19 | I liked the game a lot - especially the way the music gets more complicated as you do better. The little intro was nice. <br/> <br/>However jumping on the jump pads is almost impossible and I was annoyed by the game respawning me directly into the path of an unavoidable block. |
| Dec 20 18:15:00 | 5m 00s | Ominous | Like the concept however the fade out time is way too fast or shouldn't be there at all and some of the levels are broken (got to level 4 and blank screen). |
| Dec 20 19:03:00 | 48m 00s | Here Be Monsters! | I really enjoyed the game - enough to get to 77%. The game needs sound and music. However, most importantly, it needs a button to toggle on an overlay of the map you are making. I can only imagine that if you were stuck at 99% and only were missing a few square somewhere in the map that I'd be too frustrated to find them. |
| Dec 21 20:15:00 | 25h 12m | SPACEMEAT DISCOVERY | I kept on playing this game. It's just great. I managed to get Legendary Explosion and a x9 combo and felt great. <br/> <br/>The graphics are really good and I liked the audio a lot as well. I especially liked the generated names of the planets and how nothing stays in the same place. Awesome stuff! |
| Dec 21 20:25:00 | 10m 00s | DISCovery | Congratulations on your first LD (same as me). I liked that you took the theme in a different direction and the core of the gameplay is interesting. However whilst it's a nice implementation of a game it's certainly not an original idea ^^;. <br/> <br/>Liked the audio for what it was however ^^. |
| Dec 21 20:43:00 | 18m 00s | Attack of the time travelling pygmy from outer paleolithic (aka Time Pygmy) | I really liked the game. The graphics are really nice and the animations are smooth. The audio is very nice as well - putting in the raindrops for example was a nice touch. However whilst there is re-playability in the achievements it would have been nice with more areas to explore and more items to use (but I guess that just goes along with the game type). |
| Dec 21 20:53:00 | 10m 00s | Where am I? | Man I've got a smile on my face from that game! I really enjoyed it. The audio is just right to be a signal that you've gone the wrong way and not be annoying at the same time. I enjoyed that the sounds were "spoken" in the levels as well. In fact I started thinking those words when I crashed into the appropriate walls. <br/> <br/>I'm not sure what I would change. I did think a clear goal to go towards... but in hindsight I actually think it's better without that. <br/> <br/>I also loved the end XD |
| Dec 22 16:36:00 | 19h 43m | Light Source | More instructions would be nice i.e. that the burners replenish your light source. <br/> <br/>The audio was really annoying and the controls are very flaky. You keep on moving after releasing the button and that combined with strange level design means that you hits walls which you knew were there. I expect this was supposed to be a grid like game put the levels and movement really don' reflect that. <br/> <br/>As a game concept I think it's a nice idea however I don't think this execution is right. I also second everyone else saying that the last burner/battery you get to should be your next spawn point - especially since you don't know which way is the correct direction. |
| Dec 22 16:55:00 | 19m 00s | Prophecy | I enjoyed the game. It's the most different I've played so far. It definitely could have used music to speed things a long. Some customization on the warrior's appearances would have been nice as well although I know that is a very tall order in 48 hours. <br/> <br/>The concept was interesting however whether you win or not seems to be down to luck as much as it is to skill, especially with the 5 turn time limit. Also having some sort of animation for an end cutscene would have been nicer than text but that's another nitpick. |
| Dec 22 17:18:00 | 23m 00s | Ghosts and Gemstones | Wow I really liked playing this. I got really tense during the first few levels and then the boss hit and I was just running around trying to shot it for a while before I realised what I actually had to do. I think this game has a great concept and it was executed very well. The only thing it is really missing is music. |
| Dec 22 17:27:00 | 9m 00s | Impatient Archaeologist | Echo audio comments. It's a little too easy as well. However I found it to be very fun and the destructible levels were cool. The game could benefit from pickups to change your weaponry and different dinosaurs to avoid but it is a really solid game. Nice one! |
| Dec 22 17:39:00 | 12m 00s | Disco? Very! | Great idea for the theme. The music is really very good. The controls are a little bit floaty and there are bugs in the LD Compeititon version to be sure. But I really enjoyed this game - especially the end boss. Well done! XD |
| Dec 22 17:54:00 | 15m 00s | Mother Robot | Wow this is a really challenging game! I loved the level design and the puzzles. The graphics are alright and the audio is pretty cool. Not sure now I would connect it to the theme but the gameplay makes up for that. XD |
| Dec 22 18:02:00 | 8m 00s | Solaris Prospectus | I found it interesting however you can win by just holding down the button and circling until you find everything. The enemies seem a little eager and you can get swamped very easily. The audio is pretty bad. It was really boring to listen to after a couple of repetitions. The graphics are also kinda weird, I didn't expect the stars to travel with you as you moved. <br/> <br/>Not bad but needs more of a hook. |
| Dec 22 18:08:00 | 6m 00s | Wysp | Congratulations on making your first game for the competition. The physics are well done for 48 hours but there isn't much to say about the game in general beside that. I suggest using a library to help you with the core of the mechanics next time. Then you can concentrate on the game aspect of the game. |
| Dec 22 18:13:00 | 5m 00s | Life on other planets | I liked your game a lot. It's missing a goal or win condition and obviously audio. The enemies are really hard to kill and too fast considering the speed you move when you are firing. Apart from these things it's a perfectly solid game. Your control system is pretty awesome too. |
| Dec 22 19:01:00 | 48m 00s | The Dreamer | I really loved this game. I had played something very similar on Kongregate not too long ago with the same kinda of basic mechanic minus the shift key. I really enjoyed this game although I was annoyed that I couldn't find where the last guy was hiding. |
| Dec 22 19:14:00 | 13m 00s | Q-Bers | Wow was not expecting that. Nice idea and very well presented. Difficult spike is definitely there though... I was so close on number 16. Loved the voice over when you fail though - top notch! |
| Dec 22 19:19:00 | 5m 00s | ...You Are A Duck! | Ok so you are a duck... ++ <br/>You made it in 3D... ++ <br/>Discovery? ummm.... <br/> <br/>XD I liked that game it was cute and it actually ran on my piece of crap laptop which is unusual. However I really couldn't get it to do what I wanted. I don't know whether it was because it was lagging on my end but I could never get the duck lined up how I wanted. |
| Dec 22 19:25:00 | 6m 00s | It's A Frickin' CAVE | I like this game a lot. It would be more atmospheric with music however and I would have liked (instead of invincibility at the beginning) to just not have enemies spawned near me at the beginning. <br/> <br/>The player sprite is really well made and the enemies have a good variety to them. |
| Dec 22 19:32:00 | 7m 00s | Get Out | The graphics, music and floaty/lack of friction controls are not brilliant in this game. I enjoyed that you put in wall jumping however. |
| Dec 22 19:41:00 | 9m 00s | Code Monkey Trials | I actually disagree with the others. I thought the tutorial message boards were good - but the levels that the tutorials were in to be too easy and boring. It felt weird learning a new thing and just reading text so that could just light one square up. <br/> <br/>I did like the set pieces - especially the gravel. |
