Nice idea! Thought on first glimpse you'll have to control all of them at the same time.
Nice game! I would have played it move if the pace of the game's progress would have been more interesting, from level 6 upwards it became a bit cumbersome to progress.
But i really like the interpretation of the theme. It was interesting to go the the border of the world to see what's there :)
It felt like my influence was too little in this game… it didn't feel like there's much tactic that I can use - at least no obvious to learn… I basically created the strongest? character as often as possible and then waited, then spawned as much as possible again until the round ended…
At the end of a long hard match I still lost, because the other opponent killed an other CPU enemy first, which felt really unfair because I basically cleaned the whole board prior to that…
It would be nice to have influence which corner you're attacking to be able to play more tactical - dunno how though :) I liked that there are 4 parties playing at the same time - would also be possible to play with 4 friends on a tablet or so…
Nice one, I liked it… almost skipped it, because there was no OS X download, but the "windows" version played just fine as it is Java.
The pushers really crept me out as soon as they run towards you.
When I went out of the level on the side it seems to have crashed. Walking two directions at the same time is SO necessary!! ;)
I can see the potential!
Hey! I liked the simplicity of the game, a little more variety would be nice though - things like attracting spots, moving objects, … at some point it is impossible to continue, because you can not not run into red things - a cashing in mechanic like in BIT.TRIP VOID would be nice.
4th round I had a bug where no red things appeared, and I got super huge, basically getting a point per frame :D
@hwinwuzhere: Thanks, will try to play it tomorrow with actual people, to see how the mechanics work :D
@Croze: Thanks for the tip, although setting up network connection with Unity's core functionality shouldn't be a big deal anyway :)
@JayCee23: I tried to do a keyboard mapping as well, but with 4 buttons per player, where about 8 are pressed at the same time, this doesn't work - the keyboard can't process them all.
@ceosol: You start the game, Unity's configuration window opens first, where you can set resolution and graphics quality. There's a second tab for input, you click on the input axis you want to configure and press the stick/ button on the gamepad.
@SpartanIceCream: was my initial intention, but as I only had very limited time (even less than the 48hrs.), there was no time for that… :)
@pht59x: you're right! I thought I had to provide a web link - the old interface had a * besides the web url… I removed the link.
Screenshot looks very interesting, unfortunately i'm not on Windows…
Nice Puzzle game - never felt unfair (except once, when I died when i clicked on the crate while standing on it above spikes, but no big deal). Also liked the progression of difficulty! Got 4/4 ;)
Nice concept, although it seems a bit unbalanced. I tried several different tactics, but all basically were doomed :)
I like the interpretation of Tower Defense!
Thanks! The lag could very well be caused, because a lot is happening on a per pixel basis… I was wondering how well it 'd perform, but runs smooth on my machine. Maybe a native build would work better?
Haha, nice! I would love to have a LED matrix now :D
Woah! Didn't expect that, very nice jam game!! I really like the mechanic, although in some spots it got a bit meticulous. But very nice polish and cool level design ideas!
Only critique I have: speaking of meticulous – it's not a two button game :)
If there had been a checkpoint right after the passage where you had to elevate multiple times and roll over the "dry" spots, I woul dhave continued playing, but I fell right into the spikes after and it was too tedious for me to solve passage again!
Good job!!
Very meditative, would be nice as screensaver :D
Thanks!
Thanks everyone :)
As I was pinched for time, I only jammed for ~8 hours, thus decided for something minimalistic, doable in the short time.
@David: There's a bug, that the new branches sometimes don't spawn in place and when one of them collides with the floor, is's game over…
Thanks, I might even fix that collision bug… does anyone know if that's "against the rules"?
THanks for the feedback! I made a little hotfix today fixing the physics problem that caused the game to end early… will post the original version in the description.
…if you played it before you may have to empty your cache first (for the web version) in order to play the fixed version!
Cn't really play on my Retina screen, it seems to not respect the display DPI seetings … if I run it I only see half of the content… it looks nice from the screens tho…
Hey! Nice idea for a rhythm game!
I just think it's super easy until the level where you have "fake beats" and then it becomes super hard. That would not be so bad, if I could just start at the hard part and then learn by failing, but instead I insta-die and have to do all at that time boring super easy levels again until I come to the interesting part.
I know time is tight on a jam, so nevertheless I think it's a very nice game! Cheers!
Very nice puzzle concept! Good complexity through simple mechanics…
criticism: @fatsopanda says it all :)
