LD46 — Keep it alive

Don't Crack by Weirdybeardyman 2020-04-21T05:11:57Z

Fin and simple but fiddly in terms of the physics (picking up objects and dropping them was inconsistent for some objects). Also you could give the egg a nice soft magic carpet(pillow?) ride straight to the exit if the pillow player picks up the egg and doesn't let go. However, I like the concept and I still enjoyed messing around in it despite that. Keep it up.

Fiery Caverns by mitsu.artemius 2020-04-21T03:10:13Z

I'm impressed with the scale of the game - it felt like a long sprawling cavern. And the fire burning effect was satisfying and worked well. Though, I think the game could've benefited from more tight design, I sorta felt like I was wandering aimlessly the whole time. Also there were a few off-screen deaths that were unavoidable and frustrating. Overall it was good.

Keep the beat alive by Dukes 2020-04-21T02:49:02Z

Oh wow, this is great! Rhythm games are a pain to make, so to see one done so well for a jam is awesome! For feedback, I'll say that it's pretty awkward to play an Osu-like game with a mouse only and the game's pretty hard with that in mind (or maybe I'm just bad :P), but it's still super enjoyable. Great job!

AMT: Alien Medical Technician by No Grapes Games 2020-04-21T03:58:41Z

I absolutely love the art and the visual/audio polish of the game. Though, I found it pretty hard to do the rhythm sections, because it feels like the full effects of the pitch change happens a significant amount of time after you're supposed to push the appropriate button, making it hard to know when to push. I think making the pitch change faster and be more immediate or even happen right before you're supposed to push the button would help a lot in that regard. Otherwise it's a fun and simple idea!

Blobbysitter by Jake Marks 2020-04-21T03:49:11Z

Fun, though it's pretty hard to get used to managing so much at the start. Maybe a easy level followed by the more difficult level would've been good? Good job though.

Captain Bean and lil JalapeƱo by Tsamf 2020-04-21T04:10:59Z

As others have pointed out, there's room for improvement for sure. You definitely have a cool idea here, so the next step is just to get more experience with Unity and make more games. Keep practicing!

Cydonia by Wookie 2020-04-21T04:57:21Z

Pretty fun, though it's pretty dialogue heavy for a jam game. Also, I think it would help a lot if it was more clear which character can go through which gate, as the differences between the colors is really hard to notice. Good work though.

Hikikomori Simulator by yeojoey 2020-04-21T04:21:58Z

Cute art and simple but charming dialogue. The mechanics are really simple, but it's still hard to predict how the actions affect your stats which is a bit annoying. I think music would benefit the game greatly, and also random events that take place would've boosted the game a lot. Also, if it was a bit more explicit about the effects of actions (maybe with small arrows next to the stats when you hover over an action - the arrows as they are now are hard to see since they disappear so quickly) would help a lot. Good job guys!

Block Pusher by Pixipit 2020-04-21T02:38:47Z

Very nice and simple concept done cleanly and well. I think the biggest thing is that I wish there was more ambition to the project or more things to vary up the gameplay. It's a strong and simple core, but it leaves me wanting a bit. Anyway, good job!
