LD54 — Limited Space

HeadSpace Limited by Im not a robot 2023-10-03T18:20:21Z

Fun game with lots of features (even update preview). Nice work. Good on many categories. Minus side it's A bit too easy until it gets hard and you lose but it's fun to play around for a while and delve into the upgrade system.

One of the devs here. Thanks for trying the game peeps and the civil comments. Will def try your games. We ran out of time and resources so the game is couple minutes long. The other developer has a more completed game on their PC. We plan to upload the finished game to itch.io in some days.

The intended core game loop is to select a planet(s) to go (was cut out) and manage inventory by sending drones to collect gems, fuel, drones which can then be kept or sold (pretty much completed but was left out of this version due to time concerns).

We had a good jam and I had fun learning Godot in like 2 days. :) Have fun reviewing games!

Game looks good and there's polish in mnany areas which I can appreciate. Overall pretty solid proof of concept with the two main mechanics. Also had some bugs/soft lock, difficulty balancing issues, lack of tutorial/platforming testing ground was felt as well making it hard to "finish" the game. I used the .rar version.

For the levels I would have liked to start from the left side just like with super mario bros first level etc. That's where my vision started scanning the maps. By the time I was done scanning a level I was dead on one of the levels. This terrible event then made me fear entering the other levels. The platforming gravity felt a bit too strong. One misstep and your character zooms out of existence.

LD55 — Summoning

The King's Summoning by strong99 2024-04-27T15:25:47Z

I liked the use of the idle mechanic. Combining that with the destination timer was something new as that was then a mix of idle and real time. I had a bug with equipping items for a follower and dealing 0 total team dps in battle. But not recruiting a follower let me do damage in battles and try out the game. Overall a cool proof of concept with rpg elements and a refreshing take on the summoning theme.

Cool game! I liked the style and colors and general gameplay. Had some problems using ultra wide monitor with UI scaling and not understanding how to play but I managed to beat the game in the end.

Good range of gameplay depth and the story and immersiveness is icing on the cake. Impressive for a solo jam game. I liked that you have tutorialization and a hint system and intuitive gameplay. The ending was a bit hard for a lazy gamer.

Good mood, and scope. With a couple quality of life fixes this is really solid as a little game. There is a strategy element (mind games like in fighting games) if you track what cards the opponent has remaining isn't there, which is cool. Aside from the obvious nitpickings the game difficulty was a bit too hard to be able to see all the content.
