LD56 — Tiny Creatures

White Blood Shells by Roka Josh 2024-10-21T21:59:09Z

This is awesome! I love the ambience. Unfortunately the background track stopped playing after a couple minutes, but it was really great at setting the tone of a gross, dark, fleshy game. The design of all the assets are great, the dithering combined with the texture design for the walls was visually interesting and made it feel like you were in blood vessels/a body while still being more normal 3d shooter level design, while also contrasting the enemies and projectiles. I also like how movement speed heavily effected accuracy, as well as having an aim down sights mechanic, as I'm used to doom-style shooters not having those, so the gameplay felt unique.

Three Tiny Toblins by NightmaresDev 2024-10-21T21:33:30Z

This game was great! I enjoyed the learning curve of switching between the characters to get through the puzzles, which was then rewarded with the last one requiring quick timing and coordination. Super cute art/clear sprites. I think the atmosphere would benefit a lot from some sort of background sound or music, while toning down the voice lines a bit (less frequency or possible overlap), but they were very endearing and funny :)

The Seven Guorts by JCoMcL 2024-10-24T20:58:01Z

I loove the art and the way the guorts act. I can see this as being such a great start for some sort of puzzle platformer game with unique mechanics stemming from these stacked fellas.

Wonderful start for a racing game, I love the map and all the character designs, I can see this becoming unique and more replayable with more mechanics added, maybe having the racers have different abilities/stats so I can really FEEL like the Great Fish Cigaretti.

Souls of the Lost and Insignificant by NonDev 2024-10-24T20:37:11Z

This is so impressively polished! The sprite work is great, with a consistent visual style for all assets and menus, standing out from many other jam games. Some more sounds, or background music/ambience of some kind, would really complete it. This also stands out for having unique and intriguing gameplay, and the gradually increasing difficulty makes the learning curve of figuring out the game physics feel great.
