LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Double Kick Heroes by blackmagic 2015-12-18T14:32:00

Awesome! Marvelous! Perfect!

Definitely got a strong sense of helplessness in this one early on. Really enjoyed your take on the growing theme... I sure hope our sun stays cool... or warm...

I'm quite confused about this game... is there something that indicates what the "right" seed is?

Arkanika by DrZanuff 2015-12-16T04:12:00

Pretty fun game! I do enjoy how the theme of growth was actually incorporated in a way that mechanically influenced gameplay. The growing goals posts was a pretty clever idea. Great job!

Rocks, maps, scissors by Split82 2015-12-16T01:15:00

Outstanding quality of work! I'm also a tad confused how it fits in with the jam theme. The graphics are amazing, the animations are so fluid, wish there was soundtrack, but none the less, great job!

Controls were a little bit rough for me. I found it a tad frustrating. The visuals are very nice and unique though, and the gameplay as a whole is quite nice, especially given the short development time. As a whole, I'd say a job well done!

Cosmo Hopper by PlasterPhantom 2015-12-15T19:14:00

Amazing how well polished this is for such a short period of time... my only criticism would be that the Growth theme is very barely used incorporated into the actual mechanics of the game. That being said, it has almost two button controls so there's like a blend of half-half. None the less... I am amazed at the quality of production in such a short period of time. Great Job!

Munchy Munchers by misteak 2015-12-16T03:51:00

Really solid entry. I enjoyed the game. The mechanics are simple and clean, and the music and SFX fit very well. I wish the growing mechanic was somehow incorporated into the gameplay mechanics a little bit more (as far as I could tell, growing the plant didn't give me anything except visual stimulus). Very Good Job altogether!

Very polished for jam! I'm personally not into story driven games, but I must say I almost shed a tear here. Almost! Great Job!

Albert & Zoe by numero15 2015-12-16T01:12:00

AS others mentioned, I also feel the bit was a little bit off, but overall very interesting game. I did thoroughly enjoy it and love how you stuck to the 2 button controls. Great Job!

Great graphics and overall polish! I'm always amazed at the level level of quality that some developers can pull off in such short periods of time. Great Job!

Montenegro 1961 by fergarram 2015-12-16T01:17:00

Crna Gora 1961! hahaha brilliant! Enjoyed this one even before I started playing :P

1 Button Wizard X2 by BoxedMeatRevolution 2015-12-16T04:02:00

Very good use of the 2 button mechanics. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. The fights are a little bit too long imo (maybe reduce HP). The game design as a whole is outstanding though, and there's definitely a lot of depth to it. Great Job!

IVY by TRAB 2015-12-17T04:42:00

Very cool! I got to level 7 or something before I started getting frustrated :P Not a fault of the game but I'm just so impatient. Very well executed and clever use of circular growth to introduce additional complexity/challenge to the game. I also commend you for the addition of the sweet camera shake (definitely helps game feel). Great Job!

Whack-a-Mouse by Xitavos 2015-12-17T01:03:00

Good concept. Well executed. Difficulty seems to ramp up uncontrollably though. I'm personally not a fan of games that force an uncontested defeat on me (feels like that's the case here). Good Job all in all though.

MotherCube (strategic puzzle) by Jacktheviper 2015-12-17T01:05:00

Controls could use a bit of work... game feel is a little bit lacking right now (I think it's because of this). All in all a very interesting concept. Well done!

It's a Big World Afterall by JohnLivingston 2015-12-21T03:44:00

Love the art style. Very polished for such a short period of time. Exceptionally innovative and unique game mechanic (ties into the theme very well). Levels were exceptionally frustrating, that's like because I suck though. Great Job!

Little Seeds of Evil by MrAmlice 2015-12-17T04:47:00

Thanks for the comments guys!

@Galvesmash I'll try to do something for you ASAP. Unfortunately GameMaker (engine I used) doesn't allow me to export to Max OSX without owning a Mac (WTF?)... which I do not :S I'll see if I can get a Linux Ubuntu thing up or something.

Dude On Fire by voca 2015-12-17T01:00:00

Nice art and overall feel. I would agree with a lot of the preceding posts, it became too difficult due to a lack of vision with obstacles. Feels like it was designed for vertical mobile, should be horizontal for this type of game imo. Great job otherwise though.
