LD38 — A Small World

Greyer by ccglp 2017-05-05T23:45:31Z

I definitely loved the monochromatic theme. Figuring out how to score points(?) took a little thought but I figured it out on the first try. Definitely has some bugs that could be worked out, but the only one that got in the way of the game was my character moved left without me pressing buttons. Incredible job for any game, much less a compo!

Hope to see you again next year!

Small World of Mine by 0uicmoi 2017-05-05T23:35:12Z

Great job. I love the art and the environment. However, I had to try a few times to understand what the options meant in terms of the consequences. That very well may have been intended, though.

Can't wait to see you next year!

The Ludum Show by ketchupcoke 2017-05-05T23:04:54Z

Very well done!

Critiques: * Not much background on the character or story. A silly quip about who the character is would have been golden. * No sound

Complements: * When I first saw the art, I was a little worried, but it just took a few seconds to realize that you did a fantastic job tying the visuals together, ESPECIALLY the walking animation. * Definitely got a chuckle from the bench

Awesome Job, @ketchupcoke. Hope to see you next year!

Love the pace of each round, but I found the game to be difficult to get a hold of. I would love for the game to start out easier so I can pick up the controls, but get more difficult across the matches.

Let's Be Happy in Our Small World by Tuomo 2017-05-05T23:15:51Z

This game made me loose hope in humanity. The world was perfect at the start of every single level. But some *** had to go and screw things up. WHY ALEX, WHY DID YOU KNOCK THE VASE OVER? JUST LET THE CAT SLEEP IN PEACE.

I'm seriously impressed at this game, and I honestly have trouble finding critiques of it. One of the parts I found especially neat was exactly how diversity is used as a game mechanic. I though the difficulty was incredibly well tuned, and it's very hard to make a point and click program feel clunky... ok, excepting all of those Point of Sales programs, but still... I'm glad I was able to find this through the random link.

See you next year, and I hope this game goes far.
