I really like the idea! and the sound design fits the game and kind of stressing haha which is good to me.
Maybe it would be cool to have some overlay screen when the game finishes. Also, I think the game gets really static after a 30 secs or so, but I guess that's the intention.
Another concern that I have is that I feel like the game is easy to exploit. Like, I've been for 1 min in the right corner without moving and nothing has killed me. I think it's not a crucial matter for the game to be difficult, because it's more about the idea and the reflexion? But maybe it would be easily fixed by making the walls teleport the individuals to the opposite side of the map with the same direction and speed, instead of bouncing the individual back. Idk how difficult to do is that in scratch, but I think this way there wouldn't be any 'blind spots'. Or maybe making the map a circle instead of a square.
But overall, it's a fun game and I love the idea <3
I love this game. It's like an even more hectic version of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
I love the music design. The fact that the wrong parcels (ads, 'do not push' buttons) highlights when the time is running out, but the sounds of time running out only sound for the good ones. Maybe the sound that warns the player that you are running out of time for the 'push' button parcel is a little too late, I think. But the timing for the others I think is reeeeally good. Like, the fact that if you hear at the same time that a 6&9 parcel and a 'pick the geometric figure' parcel are running out of time, you know you have to prioritize the fast ones, bc there is less time left. But without forgetting about the 6&9 ones. It makes the game about attention and knowing how to prioritize. It reminds me of a lot of Lumosity attention games that I used to play.
I also love the design of the mini puzzes. The possible results for the arithmetic operations is really good, idk if you have a really large pool of options or you programmed a good algorithm for that.
Maybe the fact that if you click the wrong option in some parcels, you don't instantly lose and instead the time left for that parcel is reduced (which I think is good for the missclicks with the 9 and 6) is not that clear... because I don't get why if you chose the wrong result for the arithmetic operations you don't lose, but if you cut the wrong cable, you do. I think I'd prefer to only have that license for the 6 and 9 puzzle.
I love the fact that when you lose, the game show you the parcel that made you lose. Although maybe that animation is too slow and could be omitted with a click to see the ranking before the next round.
Overall, my fav game for this ludum dare so far <3 I think it's a good idea supersuper well implemented and polished.
I really like the mechanics and the design of the little puzzles. Really polished and nice game
oh, fuck. This idea is too good
Hi @hexa3! Thanks for taking the time to try out our little game <3 The wind control is not very intuitive in pc version because it's designed to be a mobile game. But if you swipe horizontally and fast, you will see the particles of wind in the screen :)
Hi @kszaku ! Thank you so much for your words <3 I didn't know that System Shock has this kind of music system omg I will take a look at it! The main inspiration for the music system was Proteus (if you don't know it, its music is awesome). About the wind control, it's designed for mobile and we realized too late that it's not very intuitive and organic to use in pc. We added the wind particles as feedback but it may not be enough. Thank you for the valuable feedback!
Thanks for trying our game, @limejuice123 <3
hey @lcstark Oh, thanks for reporting the air mechanic problem, we'll take a look at it. And that's true about the progress of the tree... we'll discuss it as well. Thank you for the valuable feedback and playing our game <3
