LD42 — Running out of space

Pervertica - CCG by mitus 2018-08-14T16:33:02Z

Managed to get through both bosses in the end. Pretty tough, especially for someone as inexperienced in these sorts of games as myself, but it always felt that it was me messing up instead of the game throwing something too hard at you, which is a plus. Getting the same card after each battle was a pain, but whatever. Was still good to play through.

Simple but fun game. Your shadowy opponent actually popping in after a while, as opposed to just being a more metaphorical thing, was nice and added in a nice change of pace from the first few levels.

Really liked this one. Liked the variety and tiers in the combining, and how the issue of space actually played a role. Actually got the end of this, which I wasn't expecting to see; the timer didn't really end up being a problem, but I guess that's better than it being overly constraining. As other people mentioned, an overall list of combinations/point values for such would have been nice, but it's not a gamebreaker. It'd be interesting to see what this'd look like expanded onto/worked on, but in the context of a 3-day contest it's pretty cohesive and well-polished.

Black-Crops: Tactical Farming by JaredEvans_Neumont 2018-04-24T18:49:17Z

This is cute. Played for a few rounds, got a hang of who did what [and how the various actions changed their areas of effect around depending on who you picked]. Is there any particular reason the area resets after a week? As of right now there's not a huge reason to do anything once you've reached the goal each week, unless I'm missing something with how things shuffle around upon resetting. But yeah, it's fun, what's here works, music reminds me on the US Sonic CD soundtrack, vaguely - it's all cool.
