LD46 — Keep it alive

Crab nightmare 🦀 by Joystikman 2020-04-20T00:57:05Z

Nice and simple concept executed! I too dream of the nightmare crabs coming to take away all that is light in the world :)

Took a bit to sort out the controls so some instructions would be appreciated but fun was had, and rescued I thankfully was.

Rolly and the Flower by Rolly 2020-04-20T14:40:50Z

Now this was simply a delight to play. I love your game concept. Having to carry and protect an otherwise doomed companion, its great. You've executed the carrying and throwing of the flower perfectly. The music and sound effects also got me right into the whimsical mood.

I did find the level 10s timing on the set of guns can be a bit tricky to navigate on a first go and required a few tries. You can also get rolly stuck in a few places in level 10 and 11 but hey its a Jam!

Thank you so much for letting us play!

A Case of the MOONDAYS by Dylan Pineo 2020-04-20T14:28:26Z

@ioan-pop @willypa Hey thank you so much for playing! We defintely agree on our end, we ran out of time to do the math on some better acceleration for the player but it would be near the top of our list to fix up :)

@supergamersgames We think you are welcome? :)

A Case of the MOONDAYS by Dylan Pineo 2020-04-21T18:51:01Z

@antonis-koutsouradis @xpost2000 @bereg Hey folks thank you so much for playing! We are in total agreement, there is a half built tutorial screen in the build that we just didn't manage to find in time, and in retrospec realize our instructions for controls are fairly deep in our description.

We very much appreciate the feedback though thank you! :)

@xpost2000 To the point on the theme we are in agreeance, the idea is to keep the dream of the marine you are playing alive! But that is really on conveyed in our description and not-in-game very well at the moment, a clear point of correction for us :)

@saltfactory-studio Hey thank you very much for playing and for the nice feedback! We completely agree on the controller front and would have love to have increased the intensity of the gameplay alongside the music. :)

@greon We salute you Marine! While we cannot take credit for the art assets themselves (they are from Synty Studios, great art assets on the Unity Asset Store) we sincerly appreciate your feedback and comments :) Thank you for playing!

@physiker2001 We slate your fine score Marine! While we cannot take credit for the art assets themselves (they are from Synty Studios, great art assets on the Unity Asset Store) we very much appreciate your feedback :) And haha we completly agree our little marine is twisted the run way, one of those things you notice after you've publish the game and just are not sure one you miss it :P

And that is indeed a bug that we were trying to squish before we ran out of time. It is often paired with one that lets you gets multiple triggers at the same time all across the level from only one.

Keep Vlad Alive by zimny11 2020-04-20T02:25:15Z

Who doesn't love a good time as Minion 8362? Personally a childhood favourite of mine. Kidding aside I really like the concept here. I couldn't really seem to get a balance going between planting the blood crops, keeping vlad alive, and having enough blood to grow new ones. But I can see where the fun certainly ramps up in this. Thank you for letting us play this!

Nemysis by Crispy Chicken 2020-04-20T15:09:37Z

Hey now this brought me right back to my teenage days playing Tower/Horde defense games for hours on end. Like I almost started doing with this one haha! If only I had the time of those days.

Great concept here and very well executed. There are some bits of roughness around the edges but with a jam-free polish and some more varied content I can see lots of fun being had defending the glory of the dark lord.

Largest Issue I ran into was that I seemed to be killing a number of enemies off screen once I got to around wave 20 or so and I sometimes missing out on their souls? The angels were notorious for it!

Thanks for letting us play!

Swarm by DerKuchen 2020-04-20T01:51:59Z

Hey now that is a great concept! I had fun going through the increasingly difficult levels but never felt unable to complete!

I would love to increase my control on the swarm though. The random bouncing is very hard to anticipate and something like a Pikmin Whistle to direct which direction my swarm focuses towards would be very much appreciated.

Really great concept though one of my favourites I've played thus far.

Shy Talker - Keep the Conversation Alive by TrKo 2020-04-20T01:59:31Z

The art, sound, and music are all super on point here. And I love your interpertation of the theme. It's simple but its well executed. Great work for being only a month in friend! Looking forward to what you make next.

Thanks for letting us play!

Le LÉGUME by OhMyGuigui 2020-04-20T01:21:17Z

I love the aesthetic from the visuals to the music, but there is a very punishing learning curve to understand exactly how to complete the game. Highscore of 112! Great work!

Dog Feeder by plantleaf 2020-04-20T01:43:32Z

I for one would like to adopt poor smoking doggo and get him clean and give him all the food he could enjoy.

I like the concept but I do find the tone of the game a bit deary. THe controls are smooth but you do have a limited amount of time to orient yourself with a level as it begins. A delay to the balls coming into "action" so to say would be great.

I did really like level 3 for it's (at least to me) pinball-esque design. Thanks for letting us play!

Carry the Fire by Ciber_Turtle 2020-04-20T01:57:02Z

The atomosphere and aesthetic is setting up a great story to be told. I did get stuck as I was only able to jump sometimes with W and couldn't get past the stacked platforms. Not too sure what is going there but thank you for letting us play!

Be a Good Friend by oxlox 2020-04-20T01:05:59Z

Hmmmm very interesting would love to see this expanded as an small-scale applet or a mobile app where you pick-up responsibilies from "friends" to incorporate into your routine.

Kill the undead - keep her alive (for as long as you can) by Gaspar Laprida 2020-04-20T02:05:15Z

This was a great walk down memory lane as I remember playing many games in this style when I was a teenager. A solid recreation in a very short period of time. Defintely could see some benfit from a clearer tutorial and a larger variety of zombie types/variations but I had fun. Thanks for letting us play!

Keep Your Rage Alive! by cateye 2020-04-20T01:31:19Z

This is great work for your first jam 8) Your scale of levels is impressive, I couldn't get through all of them but would love to see where you want to take this next!

Ralathor takes a nap by beeguy 2020-04-20T02:12:54Z

Well I am not entirelty certain what the voices from beyond are telling me but I am prety sure that they wish for me to inform everyone that it is 1992 and there is a heavy metal dark lord who has given us an allmighty hammer to protect the sleeping ralathor. Hammer. Glory. HAMMER. GLORY.

A simple concept executed well even if the knights let you have the game play itself after awhile. Thank you for letting us play!
