LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Investocorp by ickmiester 2015-12-19T06:20:00

I liked the styling of it! The name generation at the start made me laugh, and I liked the description of the investments as well. The integration of the theme was unexpected but cool for a text-based game. Tip - it's not obvious that you can wait on the investment screen to watch your investments progress. I thought I would have to reject a lot of propositions at first...

bullet hell web game thingy (but really, it's a pretty ok game) by peyj 2015-12-19T06:51:00

Nice simple bullet hell game! I like the radial concept for two-buttons, and the way damage "grows" the void is really cool also. Although, without instructions, I tried to collect all the dots first.

Astral Gardener by muumeroinen 2015-12-19T06:25:00

Does the game get more challenging as you go? I was only able to reach about 30, but I noticed more and more enemies being introduced. It's a nice twist for a platformer!

Button Simulator 2000 by wilsk 2015-12-19T06:45:00

I enjoy these kind of simulation games where you have to figure out what to do and toggle a bunch of levers to get it to work. There's a lot I still don't really know, but at least the game over messages help. Nice work!

Two Buttons Fight to Survive by Jacic 2015-12-19T06:49:00

I laughed at how I could shoot the other player. Would be kind of cool to see this as a more directly competitive shooter! I also liked your integration of the theme, with a "two-button" game. :)

Nice risk-reward mechanic with having to go out and collect debris while avoiding enemies. Would like to see a reason to not have the magnet on all the time (an energy meter, maybe?), and also to have the debris look more distinct from the other enemies.

F1 Paper by schadocalex 2015-12-19T06:16:00

Nice work! I remember playing games like this when I was younger on pen and paper, it looks like it follows the rules correctly. I'd definitely recommend aiming to add small features one at a time to this, like collision!

YesNo Zen by Borodar 2015-12-19T06:39:00

Simple but polished! I liked the little effects, like the button explosions and the fading text. Kind of expected some gag to happen when I clicked "No" for "want to play" at the start. :p Music is really soft and gets me in the zone, but boy does that error sound snap you out of it lol

My first two equations were both 1x1=1, so I was confused for a bit waiting for another one to appear!

GURU by TomenLuca 2015-12-19T06:35:00

Really refreshing seeing a card game on here! As someone who likes board games, I think this is extra cool. Very polished as well - progression, great art and music, and lots of humor as well. Props all around!

In terms of things I'd like to see, I can't strategize much in this game beyond managing my karma so I can have a good counter. Otherwise with a 3 card hard I'm just waiting to top-deck a good card. Also, maybe give the cards symbols as well as colors, so you can place on each card what counters which in a more readable way? Anyway great job!
