Quite confusing at first, start with the level easy is useful :P
I like the idea overall and it's quite simple but effective. I needed 2-3 attempt in order to get which weapon beat which one. Nice job !
PS: I had the same issue you had on your web gl to work on ludum dare, you should go to Player Settings > Publishing settings > Disable Data Caching as suggested in the ludum dare doc here https://ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/

Like the feeling overall and hit feedback on enemy :) I think the movement feeling might work better in a dual stick set up
