LD38 — A Small World

Starstruck Ducky by HuvaaKoodia 2017-05-09T03:13:29Z

There is something hilarious about the concept of a famous duck, and a duck after fame for himself. I felt bad for the poor guy when I came close but didn't make it. I met him but didn't get to go on tour :-(. Maybe next time I'll get invited to more parties...

Well done! I enjoyed how this fit the theme, and it was strategic in that I had to figure out and navigate shoot effectively at the same time. Add some sound effects for shooting and maybe a powerup or two and this will be even more addictive!

Chill Bill by drtizzle 2017-05-09T03:27:35Z

The most simple and addicting game I've played in this LD yet. The animation and sound effect of buying a Sprite was hilarious, and despite its simplicity, balancing the efficiency of your slashes actually involved a fair bit of strategy. Beautiful art style as well, very well done. NEEEED MORE ENERGYYYY

What Remains. by Fiote 2017-05-09T03:00:50Z

I loved playing Fallout Shelter on my phone for a long time, and this was very reminiscent of that :-). The sound effects and music were very fitting to the theme and I found myself retrying to get farther several times (still embarassing compared to what others posted here). My one gripe is that the dialogs for building things are not easily "dismissable" and sometimes covered things up that I wanted to see (I had to click a person to make the dialog go away)

Mind's Eye by Kosmo 2017-05-09T02:38:28Z

I really liked the concept of this (I have played and enjoyed many board games like Mechs versus Minions with this mechanic), although it took a little bit to understand what each of the different options achieved and when it was best to use them. I also found that I instinctively really wanted to click or use the arrow keys to make the selections. Overall a unique mechanic I haven't seen in other games yet and a fun take on the theme.

I played the webGL version. The mechanic of only being able to see where you're going if you're moving was interesting, even if it was a little disorienting at first. Overall pretty fun, easy and intuitive, although I will say that even adding a simple sound effect for shooting lasers would have add made it infinitely more satisfying to shoot asteroids.
