Extraordinary... game? ...interactive adventure film is a more apt description. I like the spooky atmosphere made all the more terrifying by the Windows executable file. I always panic just waiting for my hard drive to spew out blue smoke. Otherwise a disturbing ride through psychedelia. Well done.
This is the first LD applet I've seen since my first visit to LD (yes, I'm a noob). Cool concept and nice to look at. I'm a bit bias because I like Java. I think I broke your game after the SHIFT + Collide round as I found my 'player' suspended with nothing to interact with. Someone should employ me full time to test games because if they can be broken, I will break them. I wouldn't invite you to watch me test your games because the overwhelming feeling of pity at my ineptitude would cause you to cry. But this inability to game has a flip side which allows me to break! Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to what you do next.
Wonderful! I love the aesthetics. I didn't understand what to do which intrigued me. I eventually got stuck in a top corner of the room and then ejected into black! I would like to play what you had, as you say, hoped for.
Enthralling stuff. I like to play before reading the comments of others but in this case I wish I hadn't. If I'd understood that I can only move one bard per turn, I would have enjoyed it more. I mistook it for a bug. I wish I could give more suggestions as you asked for in your post above. It's beautiful to look at, the music is appropriate and if you fulfill the other game mechanics that you mention in your blurb, I wouldn't be surprised if you gathered a following of devotees. Valiant effort! One of the best I've played so far.
