love the art-style so much!
Love the idea of building wacky vehicles piloted by the Vitruvian Man. Very silly but well executed game. :)
dudee! fun game. love the pizzas btw :)
daaaaaamn ! the game psd so cool ! the history theme suits so nice for the way the technology had grown. And the character of L. Davinci is original for ur topic :))) and very funny
so much fun :)
it's so funny watching the Vitruvian Man tumble around...and I really love the visuals and UI effects!
Really fun, great idea!
The integration of the historical knowledge from the notebooks into the building process is really smart. It gives the act of constructing these advanced machines a satisfying sense of purpose, making the entire concept come together wonderfully.
Fun game! The levels are well built and interesting. Cool idea to follow the advancement of tech.
About AI, idk why you use it in your spare time if you already hate it at work already. It's also still possible to never use it at all even at work (unless mandatory in your team), I never use it and it's just fine.
Super fun game and excellent art! I really enjoyed how you connected the different inventors to the parts! Great submission!
I'd say you put together a pretty good game for one who has lost their love of game development. I also echo @yorsh's sentiment, if you don't like it then don't use it if possible, which is certainly the case for LD. But I understand being disheartened by it, it's a disruptive tool.
On the game: I liked the amount of character gotten out of just a sketch and a line of dialogue on each Challenge. Some of them I found a bit annoying with the lack of control (the pizza level in particular) but that's basically the challenge and charm of these sorts of modular physics games.
@yorsh @nathmate unfortunately at my job it's been pushed onto me to the point where I have no choice, I don't write code any more it's just 100% AI. This ldjam was kinda a test to see if I could make up for the lack of motivation by using the same tools I use every day at work. But the whole thing was such a joyless experience, and most days I struggled to even get out of bed let alone work on this jam.
I don't know that I want to do it again, but then that might mean just giving up on game dev entirely, and I'm not sure I want to do that either. I think the thing I submitted feels pretty fun, but it hardly feels like it's mine, so don't feel very good about that either.
I really liked it. Fun and clever. It took me way longer then I am willing to admit to figure out that I supposed to press balloon button more than once XD. The airplane level beat me though. Great entry.
Yeah I don't love the way the wings work, when I was testing that level myself I kept flipping before I made it to the other side. It's a fun level to play in sandbox mode though. This setup just about worked for me:
Levels are interesting, lot of mechanics, graphics are nice and coherent. It's fun and nicely polished, good job!
Such a polished game for gamejam, you did really good job with the art & design. Also bonus points for the funky groovy bg track playing during the building phase.
YOU A FCKN GENIUS, MAN; Artstyle is best, gameplay is fun, and the internet was a mistake

Really nice game! It instantly reminded me of the old Bad Piggies game by Rovio, which I used to love, but with a really cool Leonardo da Vinci twist! I especially liked the art style, everything looks like it came straight out of his sketches and notebooks. The whole idea of building crazy machines and watching the Vitruvian Man try to survive them is hilarious.
The physics make everything even more entertaining, and it's fun to experiment with different constructions. I also love how you managed to combine historical inventions with this kind of gameplay. Such a creative way to approach the Old Tech theme. Really enjoyed this one!
